'Puh-lease,' this whole ordeal that was going on because he left Fairy Tail was a big pain in his a**. Really, just because one God-slayer left didn't mean they were weak or anything, then again he was a big factor of their greatness. There are not many rune mages in general with the power that he holds, the power of a God slayer. That is something that is a great grab, and to suddenly lose that to some, pathetically small guild must be an outrage. But, Baltazaar did not care whether or not he left the place in chains. Not like he had much of a choice anyways.

He left in a rage. He did not like the state of how Fairy Tail treated him, sure he was a Rune Mage, but so what? The other strong kids in the guild were also rune mages! Though the rest were natural. But still. Was them losing someone like himself such a big deal? He wasn't treated the best at all, most times he had to be escorted to missions in case he decided to run off, and when he returned, back to the room of solace he would go. It was such a piss-whole, and mother of God was he proud of finally deserting that dump hole.

He heard of Avengelia whilst out on a mission of his own, but of course was being watched. His client informed him of Avengelia, where the new rising power houses were being held, and plus, it was full of Rune Mages! Rune Mages were accepted left and right, no matter what their skill level was, and were treated like normal human beings. Which in case no one knew, they are normal. Plus, what mainly caught his attention was when the client spoke of a peculiar Rune mage of Avengelia, one that possessed the ancient Death magic. What an interesting magic to have in the palms of their hands, how did one possess such a unique ability without causing harm to themselves? How did this person even acquire it? He was intrigued, though of course he did not show that to his client.

Whenever Baltazaar returned to Fairy Tail, he made it his mission to leave, even if it meant escaping his room. The room so to speak was in the basement of Fairy Tail, and in a secret room that lead to basically a labyrinth. This is where they keep their most dangerous weapons, as in people really. They don't let them leave, but only for missions or tasks that require their assistance. To be frankly honest, he isn't that strong, but it's mainly because of his peculiar skill they keep him locked down there. Alas, he's had a plan forming in his head for years, ever since they put him in one of the rooms, on how to escape. And now, now he has the perfect reason to leave, to go to a better guild that will treat him better, treat him more human. But alas, that doesn't mean he'll treat them that way. He has a lot of nerves that are ready to crack, and oh boy did he leave a mark on Fairy Tail as he left.

Baltazaar escaped his room without any effort, he's been keeping most of his powers hidden from the guild ever since they leveled him down here. So, they put him in a room that could handle the skill at which they thought he had, but he far surpassed that long ago. Anyhow, he broke through the room and rampaged upstairs, letting out some other highly dangerous people on purpose. He had a bone to pick with Fairy Tail, and by God was he going to leave his mark, and make them regret keeping him locked up in there. They would seek revenge, possibly on his new, soon to be home, or just on him. He'll see. As he walked up the stairs, he removed his guild mark, the Fairy Tail emblem off of his waist. Iron dust was surrounding him as he walked, ripping the floor apart as he watched the guild jump to their feet. Skills were suddenly being fired at him, and he casually swept them away with a swing of his hand. The people he freed as well were protecting him as he made his way to the door. The dust spiral grew and grew as he walked, it becoming harder as it collected together more thoroughly, acting like a shield that was unpenetrable.

Of course he didn't leave without injuring a couple of people, people that kind of mattered that is. He injured some punk a** kid named 'Gajeel' who thought he could take him on because he was also some Iron Slayer or some s**t. As if that mattered. Natsu, that little fire demon tried, but didn't succeed, and ate some iron, maybe broke a teeth or two. Now, the S-Class mage, Erza, or whatever, she was a pain in his a**, he really struggled to get through that door, but he managed. His iron dust made sure of that. Honestly, everyone seemed to react more when he attacked Lucy, but heck, who the ******** cares about her? Such a weakling, and its pathetic cause she's also a Rune Mage, just like the other Slayers he doesn't give a s**t about. Yuck. His departing message one asks?

"I'm tired of being in this stupid a** guild. I hate it. You guys are all d**k-heads for keeping me locked up. I'm out. See you when I'm apart of the new Angels." He said as he waved his hand and walked out through the wall, of course right next to the door, but an extra hole wouldn't hurt, just like the other holes he made in people or in the guild itself. Nothing to be over dramatic about.

A couple of hours later, he arrived at the guild, Avengelia. His head tilted as he casually walked inside, only to be greeted by what he presumed to be, was the Guild Master. Of course news of what happened to Fairy Tail has already reached this Guild Masters ears, but he accepted him in no matter. Baltazaar already liked this guy, he was also a Rune Mage, and did not look surprised at what his magic was. Like, why would he? He has someone that has ******** Death Magic in his guild, what would a God slayer be to that? "Okay. Now that I'm in. Do I get a guild insignia?" He asked rather bluntly, his lips pressed together. The Guild Master laughed and said, "But its there already?" The young male blinked as he felt a burn on his flesh.

"Mother ********] Then he felt a pop on his mouth. "Can't use that language around me." The male, Thanos said. "...." Baltazaar wanted to say something else, something rather rude but if he got popped in the mouth again he swore to God he might just rip this man apart, no matter if he's the Guild Master or not. Thanos then shoved Baltazaar in the building, him being greeted by... no one. He wasn't some celebrity, what do you think this is?

Thanos cleared his throat very loudly, making Baltazaar groan and shake his head. "Everyone, we have a new member. Say Hello to Baltazaar." And someone seemed to know what was going on in the news of Mages and blurped, "That d**k head kid that ditched Fairy Tail and destroyed the place?" .... Baltazaar's eye twitched. He swore to God if he found that kid alone....

It was just another quiet day in the guild. Well, quiet was an understatement, but for Avengelia, this was about as quiet as it could possibly get. There were plenty of chatter among the guild members, all the usual kind from sharing details about their mission or gossiping about other guild members. Since they were a rather new guild, they didn’t get that many job requests. Though now that they were getting more and more well known, they board was beginning to fill with jobs of all kinds. From simple things to one where you take out ancient demons. Just how badass was that? It could be him, he could be the one to take out an ancient evil, some mystical force and save the whole freaking world. But was he? No. He was stuck playing house. Why was that? Well apparently he was too young to go on missions like those. Him too young? Excuse them; he is nine, that’s a number that was almost double digits! He’s practically an adult… in mind, he should be allowed to take on missions freely, and this age discrimination should have no place here. But the old fart Thanos would not budge on this. What a lame boring a** guild master.

Of course he had been begging Lucille, Nina, Valnor and Lyra to take him on a mission with them. Lucille was just like Thanos is more way than one, boring old fart that said he didn’t have the experience yet to take on such a difficult job. Nina just got angry at him and said not to bother her; she didn’t have to blow a fuse like that. Valnor took a raincheck, what the ******** was that even? He didn’t one rain; he wanted to go on a mission with him. Lyra just stared blankly at him, he didn’t question her any further and to be honest he probably didn’t want to go on a mission with Lyra of all people.

”I am so fuc- uhhh fudging bored!” Mako shouted being very careful to stop himself from cursing. Thanos didn’t like swear words being used and right now he would rather not get a pop to the mouth. ”Hey Mako, why not just go play Mommy Daddy with Rukia?” one of the guild members said. Mako pouted. ”I am not a kid anymore! I grew out of that stuff like a few months ago bro. Besides it’s no fun playing that with her… she always makes me the mommy and puts me in dresses… and she’s scary” Mako said. Rukia, he guesses you could say she was his friend, I mean; there really weren’t many people in the guild that was around his age. Rukia was two years younger but oh boy she did not act that way. She was scary… Lucille said she was just being a girl. So girls could change their moods like that so quickly? I mean, one second she wanted water so him being such a kind man went and got her some in which she said didn’t want it anymore and wanted tea brewed in water collected from a waterfall instead. Like make up your freaking mind.

Then again the girls in their guild were all like that. Lyra was the best example, Valnor said she was someone who was constantly had PMS. He didn’t know what that was but he summarized it to the fact she looked pissed off all the time. Well, actually, Seara was a really nice girl. Among all of them… savages she was quite literally the Angel of the guild. Always peaceful and rather patient. Heck, she even took him out on a mission once. Sure it wasn’t slaying some mythical dragon but it was something. Even Thanos couldn’t really punish her for doing so… she was just so unpunishable.

Just when he thought things would grow even duller, a member of the guild rushed into the guild hall, ”Oi oi! Everyone hear this! That Balthazaar fella from Fairy Tail just made a huge scene and left the guild. They say he is heading over to our guild”. Balthazaar, he can’t say he knew that name very well. He didn’t really pay attention to Fairy Tail much. He didn’t like them; they weren’t kind to rune mages. Even though they let them join their guild he has heard the way they treat them were more like tools than anything else. But that was rumour really; no one really wants to dig in on them. They are the strongest guild in Fiore that is until of course they knock them off their throne. ”Now now, calm down everyone. I think we are about to acquire ourselves a rather powerful member” Thanos said. ”Balthazaar, you mean that iron god slayer?”. God Slayer, he knew a bit about those. They were supposed to be ones with the power to slay god right? He was pretty sure that was just a title. He highly doubts anybody who claims to be one has actually slain a god.

It didn’t take long for the individual to arrive. He came in so casually, looking over at him he looked intimidating. That was the first impression he got, yet he didn’t look that strong. Certainly no god slayer or what he imagined one to look like. Thanos took no hesitation of accepting him in. Not like he had ever rejected anyone. So long as you could use magic you were accepted, that was why Avengelia was a haven for Rune mages. Thanos introduced him to the guild and Mako just had to say something. ” That d**k head kid that ditched Fairy Tail and destroyed the place?” Mako shouted, then getting himself onto a table and looking right at Balthazaar. ”Betcha he isn’t that great, doesn’t seem like they’re coming to get you back. I betcha you’re just all show!” Mako said. This wasn’t new to Mako, he would often declare challenges to anyone who joins the guild. Whether or not he knew if they were actually strong or not.

Seara came rushing out from behind the bar counter and went over to Mako.
“Please pay no attention to this child’s words. He doesn’t mean it, he’s in his rebellious phase”
Seara said giving Mako the eye while doing so. ”Awww not you too Seara? Why is everyone so damn worked up over this douche anyway. I mean come on just because he’s some god slayer or something, and just because he’s from Fairy Tail doesn’t mean his that great. I bet you Lucille or Nina could wipe his pretty boy mug on the ground in seconds” Mako said. Within the guild, the strongest two mages would have to be those two. Valnor and Lyra were up there too and of course don’t forget himself. They all don’t want to admit it but hey, he bets they would rank him pretty high too. They just didn’t want to admit it so they could prevent him from going out on missions.

All just show? Really now? Baltazaar rose an eyebrow at the boy, he was really trying to pick a fight with him. This little brat, like really? He is definitely not material to talk crap like that, and the male merely curled his hands into fists as if to lunge at the brat. He looked arrogant, and someone he'd like to just punch to make him learn a lesson. Kids with blonde hair and short legs really didn't intimidate him, he had to admit, other people looked more intimidating than this kid. "You're telling me not to swear and look at this potty mouth of a ******** brat." Baltazaar looked towards Thanos who didnt pop him in the mouth, he was rather glaring at the kid. Ho boy.

Some female came rushing to the rescue of this kid. Oh, they're smart huh? He was sure the older members of the guild have actually heard of Baltazaar, this brat doesn't even look like he gets out much, like he just stays back cause he's a weakling. "Rebellious phase? I mean. If he really wants I can destroy this guild much quicker than Fairy Tail I'm sure. I hear there are only two S-Class mages plus a Guild Master? Yeah. Easy." He rose an eyebrow at the female who seemed to look appalled.

"Okay brat. I bet I can wipe you on the floor in seconds. You have to depend on your higher mages to take care of me? You're pathetic." Baltazaar growled between his teeth. He made a motion towards the door as if inviting this brat kid to fight him, and if he wouldn't he would say he was all talk and no bite. Baltazaar on the other hand would bite, even if it were inside the guild home. "Mako. Stop now. You don't know anything about him, do you? Have you never heard of this man? Yes, he is as powerful as Nina and Lucille, maybe even more so. You don't hear of him often, but you do when he's out." Thanos spoke directly towards Mako, his eyes narrowed at the boy. Baltazaar rolled his eyes at the old man, did the kid not look in the papers? Did he not watch television or something? Some damned brat had the nerve to speak up to him in such a manner? Really? He definitely needs to learn a lesson or keep his big fat mouth shut.

"Do you even know how powerful I am? They kept me in a damn cell because they didn't want to let me out on regular missions, no, I was on missions that are of S-Class mages and up; The missions that are supposed to take a certain amount of years, I can do in a week or even a couple of days. I doubt you have the skill or even set of mind to do such tasks you brat." He crossed his arms as he tried to stay in a normal mood. Honestly, this was as normal as his mood would get, he's an arrogant, sarcastic b*****d that really doesn't care about others opinions. He likes to get his point of thought out and in the air, and most times people don't rebuttal, but he felt like this kid would. Seriously, a whipping is what he was going to get. He ran a hand through his hair as he looked away and around at the people in the guild. They all seemed to back away or were whispering to one another. He could hear how some of them thought Baltazaar was bluffing, and some were just wishing that Mako would just shut the ******** up. Honestly he could pick all of them apart, at least the ones talking bad about him. . . he wouldn't mind teaching them a lesson. A lesson that needs to be learned, something that Mako and the others don't understand. Do. Not. Underestimate. Him. Fairy Tail did, and look where that got them.

Honestly, whoever that kid was talking about, Nina and Lucille, he just wished they would show up. How could their S-Class mages look? Like, honestly, he feels that they won't be that intimidating, then again the one in control of Death Magic is the S-Class mage. Could she really be that intimidating? Hm. He doubted, then again he can't really say. They have some intimidating looking people here, but he doubt they would last with him. He hasn't done much research on this guild, but he can tell they are basically all rune mages, except for some natural mages. He wondered what the exact differences in skill were, but he doesn't need to wonder. He knows that natural mages have an easier time accessing their magic than rune mages do. Some runers have difficulty in accessing their new magic they have obtained, which is why not everyone can be a rune mage, unless they have a lot of time to put into it. Everyone has the ability to be a mage, its really just time and effort to improve oneself.

A sigh escaped from his lips as his eyes wandered towards the Guild Master. "Are we done here or am I really going to have to beat the s**t out of this kid?" He pointed towards Mako with an expression of annoyance, and maybe a glint of excitement. Baltazaar hasn't brawled in a long time, but in reality it wouldn't be a brawl. . . it would just be a beating.

Mako smirked; it looked like his words did get to him, and made him ticked off. As noted by how the supposed ‘god slayer’ curled up his fist and looked like he was about to pounce. Like a wolf to its prey, only this prey had a bit that he might not be prepared for. Balthazaar muttered something about his potty mouth and he tsked, and looked over at Thanos who was giving him the infamous ‘glare’. He gulped; perhaps he had let one too many cusses loose. Thanos was a kind hearted guild leader but had little tolerance for uncivilized behaviour. He would probably be lectured after all this was over. But hey, now that he was in trouble anyway might as well make it worth it right? He didn’t get to let loose like this so it was rather liberating. It was also a good chance to show the guild that he could hold his own, become freaking independent and actually go out on missions perhaps even on his own. Ah that was the dream. He was sure Lucille was this age when he went out on his first job, he had heard he learned magic when he was young and he was just itching to surpass him and Nina.

At the word of their guild being easy to take down, that seemed to get a rise out of everyone in the guild. Who wouldn’t when your own guild was being insulted like that? Sure they had only 2 S-class mages but hell; they were a young guild to begin with. They haven’t even had their first S-Class trials, who the ******** did he think he was saying their guild was easy to take down. He was about to have his word when Seara turned and faced him. ”I do well to watch your tongue. It’s easy you say... care to test your theory?” Seara said in a low and cold tone, streaks of shadows were forming on her back. This is the first time Mako has ever seen Seara like this. He could feel the concentrated magic on her back. Among the rune mages, Thanos had always said Seara was special, he never did know in what way since by appearance she looked weak. ”Seara. Enough. He is a member of our guild now. He has the right to think what he thinks, that is how our guild is. Getting worked up over a small insult won’t change his mind” Thanos said. Seara took a deep breath and the streaks of shadows disappeared, ”Yes Master” she said.

”I don’t have to depend on anyone s**t for brains” Mako said, he was readily happy to take his offer of showing him how wrong he was but Thanos stopped him. Telling him he knew nothing about him or how powerful he was. Admittedly he has never heard of him, but did that really matter? All he had to do was prove he was stronger, or hells even if he was stronger prove he could hold his own. The goal of this wasn’t a pissing contest between them, he just wanted to show the guild master he wasn’t just some kid that needed to be coddled and protected.

”Oi oi I don’t give a damn about whether they kept you in a cell or not. You’re ******** arrogant ya’know, newbie” Mako said, he was getting tired of this. Sure it was fun watching him get angry and s**t but now it was getting tiring. He didn’t do this to have a shout match with some new member. ”Mako, you’re pretty arrogant yourself. Look Mako, setting aside whether you’re stronger or not, what you lack is experience, like all mages you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. Just why can’t you understand that” Thanos said. Trying to quell the situation before a fight actually breaks out. Really, he didn’t expect to wake up this morning and have such a prominent member of Fairy Tail suddenly join his ranks. It was more a headache than anything; sure, having another powerful member was nice. But he knew there was going to be repercussions. He was sure Makarov was planning him a visit already. Probably with Erza and Mirajane with him. If what Balthazaar and the rumours say were true, they might be coming to take him back. And since Balthazaar was an official member of Avengelia now, well, he can’t just let that happen can he?

When asked whether things were done, Thanos nodded, best to end this situation here. It looked like Mako was no longer in the mood to continue with this flame fest. ”Balthazaar I’m going to need you to stay in the guild for the time being. I’m sure Makarov will soon be here and I’d rather settle things before they get out of hand.” Thanos said. ”Oi I didn’t say I was done was I?” Mako said standing on a table looking right at Balthazaar. ”Mako... enough.” Thanos said. His patience was wearing thin, he had too much to deal with soon and he would rather Mako just stop. ”Seara, can you go get Nina and Lucille. I’ll be needing them” Thanos said, Seara nodded moving off to get them. Mako couldn’t stand it anymore and charged attempting to get a punch in on Balthazaar but Thanos in an instant knocked him away. ”Mako. If you really want him to fight so bad do it properly. Cheap shots is cowardly.”

An eyebrow rose as he heard the female talk to him as if to scare him. Test his theory? He could if he wanted to, and he'd wipe her on the floor first for speaking of it. He watched as a bit of anger seemed to seep through her, magic being concentrated on her back. It wouldn't be a smart move on her part to show him what kind of magic she had, but he could guess. If it was concentrated on her back, he'd have to say Wing Magic. She held the ability to fly, to create wings, he didn't know which type of wings she could manifest, but he knew one back in Fairy Tail who held the same type of runes, but his wings let him have the ability of electricity. It's kind of a combined rune, whatever wings they conceive, they have the extra ability of whatever it could be. Seeing how it looked dark, he'd guess she had the small ability of some dark magic.

Baltazaar snorted as she backed off with what the Guild Master said. She was a goody-two-shoes. But, the next one to open their mouth was of course the ******** brat that liked to talk. His eyes narrowed at the other, as he said he didn't need to depend on anyone. Well clearly, if he had to remark that the higher mages could take him on, he definitely depended on them to do the dirty work. It was pathetic really, not admitting to what he said, but now bluffing it off and saying he could take him on? Really, it would be a death wish. As the brat continued, he said he didn't care whether or not he was in a cell or anything, and that he was arrogant. Oh ******** yes Baltazaar was arrogant, who would keep someone locked up for years to only let out to do the quests that last years?

He listened to Thanos and simply sighed. He figured that old fart would come and visit. He would be angry with him of course, but heck, if one is confined for so long it just kind of gets old. Going back to the same cell, going back through the same motions of getting locked up . . . it really got old, and he's been doing it since he was young, not thinking of anything until now. He shouldn't have to live that life because of what kind of rune mage he is. He shouldn't have to be locked up, what about the dragon slayers? They weren't locked up, and they were also slayers. . . so why him? The male's eyes darted up to Mako who was now standing up on a table. He blinked. "Really kid?" His expression was well . . . expressionless, he didn't have a hint of anger or even amusement showing, even in his eyes there wasn't some sort of glint of emotion. It honestly was getting on his last nerve, but this was in his head. He already thought of about fifty ways on how to destroy this kid if he tried something . . . but it didn't look like he has thought such things.

As he stood by Thanos and listened to his commands, he figured that the S-Class mages were the ones he did conferences just like Makarov did with Mira and Erza. L-lame. Soon he heard a sound as he looked to his left, seeing Mako on the ground and Thanos telling him not to do cowardly shots. Baltazaar grinned. "No no, cowardly shots are my favorite. Let me tell you how many people have done such things and died. About . . . three hundred. Maybe more. Those long missions do have a lot of people going after whoever is trying to finish them." A shrug of his shoulders as he popped his arms and rolled his neck. Thanos just stared and then said, "I have to get ready," before he departed to another section of the guild hall. Baltazaar grabbed Mako by the collar of his shirt and threw him through the front doors of the hall. People started buzzing behind him, some even were wanting to stop, but they didn't intervene.

Baltazaar crossed his arms as he followed outside and closed the doors behind him. Baltazaar's eyes were on Mako as he held his right hand out and it started to glow a dark color, the energy flowing off of his hand, it being concentrated there for the time being. It could look like it was just in his hand, but in reality Baltazaar has availability all over his body now, and it is always waiting to be released, even if just a little. Baltazaar ran towards Mako and gave a gentle punch towards the male's stomach, his hand meeting soft skin before the male tumbled off down the road. It was a 'soft' punch, but in reality it wasn't. It would hurt because of the magic that was concentrated there. The male stood up and Baltazaar could only clap as his shoulders drooped. Maybe he could play with him. Hurting him near the brink of death wouldn't appeal to the guild. "Show me your magic. I'll go easy on you brat." But this 'easy' wouldn't be that easy. . . even though it would be if he wasn't going to use magic. But heck, this kid doubted his abilities, so, he would receive just a taste of the magic of a God Slayer.

In the meantime, Mako, Mirajane, and Erza were soon heading on their way towards the guild where Baltazaar is now at. They want to try and talk some sense into him, tell him not to tell secrets, etc. They also want to try and bring him back, but of course with new terms and etc. But, he also wanted to speak to Thanos, about what? Well, that was more of a personal thing, between Guild Masters. He would assume that his S-Class mages would be with him too, so nothing ugly would really be spurting out . . . maybe some conflict when they spoke, that would be about it.

Yes, Mako had to admit what he did could have been called cowardly. It was indeed perhaps a cheap shot. But so what? Fighting was fighting, the element of surprise could was key to victory. Plus, he once remembered Lucille saying something about testing the waters. Sure it was probably not in this way but if you could gather an idea of the opponent’s strength then you could develop a strategy against it. Some might call it dirty fighting but he calls it strategic. Nina was told him the importance of being adaptable in a fight. Having one single style of fighting was a clear road to being defeated. Especially with his magic, perhaps the most adaptable kind of magic in existence. One of limitless possibilities was what Nina once said, and that if he had a creative mind he could go far with it. But of course Thanos had stopped him from seeing just how strong this God Slayer was. Despite all the taunts and claims he made earlier, he wasn’t going to underestimate him. But admittedly he had to still say he didn’t look all too clever. He did mean it when he said s**t for brains. So hopefully, that meant he could perhaps outsmart him. If he did, they really couldn’t say he was too ‘young’ or ‘inexperienced’ for missions.

Mako listened to his claim that many have died by trying to cowardly hit him. The number seems exaggerated but he couldn’t say he didn’t believe him. He had the look of a killer that was for sure. Thanos might have a problem with that he feels. Killing was frowned about by him, sure, he understood that sometimes it just simply had to be done but he wasn’t one who liked it when it happened. ”Pft, doesn’t matter if it’s 300 or 1000, what you killed was simply trash and trash is trash, not something to gloat over” Mako said, not intimidated by his supposed attempt at a threat.

When his collar was grabbed he didn’t bother trying to struggle free, it would be a waste of strength and he could tell he was just simply ‘transporting’ him to place where they will fight. When he was thrown out the door he made a clean recovery in the air and landed on his feet, kicking a bit of dust as he landed. He was strong, he could tell just from that throw. A crowd had begun circling around, they made sure to maintain their distance upon seeing Balthazaar exit the guild hall but they kept close enough such that they could get a good view. Some looked like they wanted to go in and help him, but the sight of Balthazaar made them rethink that. He spat on the ground , ”Thanks for saving me the walk, Balthaturd”. A tinge of excitement ran through him. He hadn’t fought anyone ever since he joined Avengelia, back in his old guild he would have to fight every day. But back then it was to defend himself. Mako had been part of a guild dominated by Natural Mages. The only reason he found a place there was because he held a rare type of magic that only existed among Rune Mages. Back then, he was looked down upon in a different way. They would often attack him, saying he was the trash of the guild. Not a day goes by where he regrets leaving that shithole and joining Avengelia.

Mako watched as his right hand began to glow; it was a dark colour, shades of black swirling around. God Slayers had the characteristic that their magic was rather dark in colour. But he was the Iron God Slayer was he not? He was surprised his magic looked so malleable. He had begun his strike and Mako had been a second too late in dodging, he felt his fist impact into his stomach and the magic he had been gathering releasing at a single point. The impact of it alone was enough to send him flying back a few feet. And it hurt; he wasn’t going to pretend it didn’t. He was lucky he hit the stomach, had it been the chest he would have surely broke a rib or two. He could also tell that was not the full extent of his powers. He couldn’t sense how much power he used of course, he lacked that ability yet. But he knew he had to be holding back. Perhaps because he was a child or maybe he didn’t want to piss of the guild too much. He hated that, being taken easy just because. He guessed he’d have to force him to go harder.

”You don’t have to go easy on me.” Mako said, he guessed it was time to use some magic. He took a deep breath, ”I call upon the guardian of the First Trine, the monkey” Mako said as back glowed. Red lines formed under his eyes and a tail grew on his back. Primal Zodiac Magic. That was Mako’s magic. There exist 12 animals in the Eastern Zodiac and a rune represents each of them. These were known as the 12 Primal Animal Runes. And Mako would be known as a Primal Rune Mage. So how does this magic work? There were two stages to Primal Zodiac Magic. The second stage we’ll leave to another day but the first stage was known colloquially as a link. When linked, Mako gains enhancements that match with the animal he calls. In this case, the Monkey. Mako quickly began moving towards him, using his tail to repel him into the air and getting behind him, aiming his first at the base of his spine.

The monkey was characterised with speed, agility, and unpredictability. In this form he would be hard to hit, extremely mobile and able to position himself freely around his blind spots. He didn’t know if this was enough as he still hasn’t got a full grasp of his strength yet. But he needed to thank him for the punch earlier with one in return.

"A Primal Animal Rune mage user I see. Who gave you those runes?" He questioned, curious. Those runes should be hard to obtain, and for him to be so young to use them, it was actually kind of interesting. He wanted to know what he chose that route, then again same could go for himself, but really. . . he felt the animal rune mage users were a little weak, at least probably at this age they were.

But, he didn't have time to really ponder this as he felt a fist hit his spine. He furrowed his eyebrows and rubbed his back as if something just patted him there. The kid doesn't have a full use of his animal, that or he just hasn't mastered it quite yet. Nonetheless, it was really nothing. Plus, since Mako was going to basically just . . . whack him, why not make it hard for the kid? He wouldn't have to do anything . . . just watch the brat beat himself up until he tired out. Being unfair, kind of, but just to show him the skill as to which he owns.

"Iron God Skin." He said this with a smirk on his face as soon his whole body became enveloped in Iron, the skin itself not being soft and sweet anymore, it being hard and impenetrable. Honestly, if one were to punch his skin without an extra hand, it would hurt a lot, but since Mako was using his own body, just with enhanced features, it would still hurt after he continued to use physical attacks over a period of time. As another attack came towards Baltazaar he easily grabbed the boys foot and threw him to the ground, but he was surprised at how fast and agile he was. He didn't knock into the ground as he expected, but he bounced back up quickly, landing on his tail and continuing on. Interesting.

Baltazaar continued to dodge attacks and once he did get hit, he watched a simple shock go through Mako's face at the touch of his iron skin. "Good luck." Was all Baltazaar really said as he continued the brawl with the youngster. People were watching in fear and in excitement, for they really have never seen both magic at work. How interesting it is to see such magic play out, but obviously one knew who the winner would be.

Footsteps. Familiar ones, that is. Baltazaar's head turned as he was now sitting on the ground, allowing the brat to attack. His eyes narrowed, he had great vision and hearing, and could hear and see distances that most normal eyes couldn't. He saw the red, scarlet hair flowing in the wind, as well as the white hair, and then the short stump that was walking. They were on their way, and honestly, they would be here very, very soon. A sigh escaped his lips, he really wished they would stay out of his business after trashing the place. It really was annoying. "Are you done or no?" His eyes narrowed at the young boy, his fists looked to be bruised and ugly, it showing that he wasn't done attacking, wasn't done trying. . . and really, he already lost, but he continued.

When Balthazaar asked how he acquired his runes, part of him wanted to just tell him to mind his own business. He didn’t need to know how he got them and it wasn’t in his advantage to tell him. But he supposed there was no harm in doing so. ”The one I’m using now was given to me by someone important to me, that’s all you need to know” Mako said. He had another rune, that one he got himself. One of Mako’s eventual goals is to obtain all twelve of animal runes and obtain the ultimate magic. However, he doubts that will be anytime soon as he already knows Lucy Heartfillia of Fairy Tail holds two runes herself and he doubts seriously she would be willing to give them up for anything. And he knew he was no match against her to take them forcefully. She is a renowned Primal Mage, while Mako was decent for his age, even he knew himself he had a lot to learn before he could even attempt a fight light that.

Mako felt his hit made contact but immediately knew that it did very little damage. But that was alright, he was expecting that. While the monkey rune gave him mobility and flexibility, it lacked in terms of strength, so his hits would simply be his natural strength. However, this wasn’t entirely a bad thing. Sure his hits did little damage, but he can hit at a rapid rate, much faster thanks to his runes. And if he concentrates on one spot long enough, damage will build up and eventually even his little hits should cause significant amount of pain. He continued this strategy as Balthazaar had yet to react with his counter. He had to take this chance to do as much damage as possible before he pulls out something which would make the fight more difficult.

A smirk formed on his face and Mako knew in an instant that he was about to do something. He ceased all attacks straight away and moved back a good three feet and waited to see what was in store for him. Iron God Skn, Mako heard it clearly and watched Balthazaar’s entire skin be enveloped in what he could only guess as iron. ’Well s**t’, the thought ran through Mako mind as he realized Balthazaar had the ultimate counter to his strategy. This was not good. Really, perhaps he should have anticipated this. It felt a little like he was cheating. He just came out here to have a good time and he’s honestly feeling so cheated right now. But he wouldn’t give up on the strategy for now, even iron, would eventually take damage to his hits. But now it would do damage back to him, just how much he would have to see.

He lunged forward but this time Balthazaar wasn’t going to give him free hits, he was grabbed by his foot and thrown. Using his tail to cushion his fall and regain balance instantly he moved right back in to try and like a blow. This time he was dodging but he aimed for one of his blind spots managing to get blow of which he instantly regretted. This wasn’t like punching ordinary iron. What he punched felt dense, as if he could feel its weight simply by touch. And not only reflected back the pain he caused, but so much more. ”What the ******** are you even made of” Mako muttered but he bit through the pain and continued to land a hit whenever he could. Each hit would continue to damage his hands further and further, at some point he lost feeling entirely in his left hand. He knew already he wasn’t going to win this fight. But as if a matter of pride he wouldn’t stop till he literally could not use either hand.

But the fight was cut short when he noticed along with Balthazaar the arrival of three expected, but unwanted guest. Makarov, Erza and Mirajane of Fairy Tail. Balthazaar looked to him asking if he was done. He wasn’t, he really was not, but he didn’t have a choice in the matter right now. With those three here, continuing the fight would only get him in trouble. He nodded his head, admitting defeat. The feeling of shame root deep within him.

As if on cue, Thanos stepped out of the guildhall and acknowledged Makarov. ”Makarov, what a surprise” Thanos said. Makarov scoffed, ”Spare me the ignorance. I am not in a good mood” Makarov said, his eyes looking over at Balthazaar before stepping into the guild, Thanos and the rest following close behind him. The guildhall had already been rearranged such that there was a convenient meeting area right in the middle. The rest of the members stood to the sides, ready to react to any sudden moves by them. Thanos and Makarov took their respective seats while Erza and Mirajane stood behind the guild master. ”Let’s get straight to the point. I believe you have something that belongs to me” Makarov said. ”Oh? And what might that be?” Thanos asked calmly. ”The Iron God Slayer, Balthazaar. Don’t play coy with me boy” Makarov said, clearly lacking a calm mood at the moment. ”Oh? Last time I checked one couldn’t own a human being. Balthazaar came to me in his own accord and I willingly accepted him. Simple as that.”

Makarov didn’t like that answer. ”You have no idea who you’re messing with. Balthazaar isn’t any normal human being. He has powers, dangerous ones, the likes of which you could never handle.” Makarov said. ”I do know exactly what I have in my hand. Need I remind you Makarov that rune magic is my forte”. Makarov grew continuously impatient at Thanos refusal to simply give him back. ”Look you have a choice. You let us take Balthazaar back and we leave… in peace. Or you could take another chance where we forcibly take him back, and believe me I doubt you could handle all three of us” Makarov threatened. Erza and Mirajane both unleashed their magic showing of the amount of strength they had.

”You see, you made one mistake there. Maybe I cannot handle you three alone… but who is to say I am alone?” Thanos said and in an instant a blinding yellow light appeared behind him. Once the light subsided, a male stood there, this male was Lucille, one of four S-Class mages of Avengelia. The second was of course not far off either. ”You see, I am a man who believes that a mage chooses where he calls home. So Balthazaar, do you wish to return to Fairy Tail, or would want to stay in Avengelia?” Thanos asked, the choice was simple, Thanos was ready to go to war against Fairy Tail if he had to. To preserve a mage’s freedom, that was his only goal in life.

As Mako admitted defeat, he merely nodded and stood, following everyone inside. Of course there wasn't a matter of choice as to where one could go, people had to witness such events. . . and truly the feelings of Makarov were something most people did not witness. He truly was someone to be feared, whether or not they were his skill level or higher. He always had things up his sleeve, and these two females, Erza and Mirajane, were the two tricks he used often.

Baltazaar listened to them talk, his eyes narrowed at the short old man. Truly, who doesn't know of Baltazaar? He's not that much of a hassle, that is, unless you treat him poorly. He scoffed when the old fart said he was his, as if! More like they captured and secluded him! Poor use of words, it really put a sour feeling in his mouth. Baltazaar crossed his arms as the old man said he would take him back by force, as if! He could handle both of the mages here, sure it put in all his effort, but he would fight before he got taken back, and for sure those two mages would have trouble. As Thanos spoke of him having his own weapons as well, a bright light entered the room, and soon a man appeared. He blinked, travel by light?

But as that person made their full appearance, a black fog entered the room, dragging across the floor of the guild hall, slowly making its way on the other side of Thanos. A shape began to take form in the fog, and soon it dripped away, it revealing a female with a look of absolute distaste towards this matter. This female was the second S-class mage known as Nina, her magic something to be feared. "I'm afraid Makarov, I have far deadlier things to worry about rather than just Baltazaar. You see, he isn't much, on the other hand. . ." He looked towards Nina, her magic was known within the guild, but it was rumored in Atheias. 'They've made their appearance,' he thought an eyebrow perked up in interest.

Both the male and female powered themselves to give a feeling of how much power they had as well, easily matching up to Erza and Mirajane, but of course. . . both sides were hiding what they truly obtained. The question that Thanos asked him, well, it took him a minute to even process it. "Of course I want to stay, I've had more freedom than I've had all my life!" He swiped his arm to the side, his face showing clearly where he wanted to go. "He has no choice in the matter. I nurtured him, he is mine." Baltazaar shook his head, his fists curled up. "I'll never be yours, I'm not like anyone else down there!" He frowned, he surely would not continue to be kept down in the dungeon. That was not his life, he already had his first brawl, a real play-fight, and honestly he did enjoy it even though he couldn't show his full potential. He was already given freedom to do whatever he wanted, go on missions, even mess with the brats. Why would he want to even go back?

"He is staying here with us. His intentions are clear." At this point, one could feel the anger in the short old man. Really, it truly was vibrating off of him and was at the point of bursting. He wouldn't take no for an answer, not unless he was forced to get off, he was not leaving until Baltazaar was dragged back to Fairy Tail and thrown back where he belongs. In his cell.

"I suggest Seara you take the young ones out." Nina's head was tilted to the side, her fingers making a wave like motion in the air, her eyes on the people who were invading her guild home. They did not even ask to come inside, they were on a territory where they didn't belong. They were stepping on her home grounds and demanding things that honestly had no voice here. It was upsetting her. They have no right to come barging in here and demand to take back one of their guild members. He already bore their crest, their was no way he was leaving their guild home, especially since he didn't want to go. Already, he was a part of them, and he wished to not go, so be it.

          Lᴜᴄɪʟʟᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴇᴀᴠᴇɴʟʏ ᴍᴀɢᴇxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

                Before Balthazaar’s Arrival

”Perhaps this task is impossible for me” Lucille said looking at the various maps and documents he had sprawled across the ground. Lucille was on a ten year job, a job that has been uncompleted for over ten years, seventeen for this one to be precise. The job involved tracking a rather dangerous dark guild know as the Rune Slayers. As the name suggests they are an extremist guild of natural mages that chose to target Rune Mages only. They are already responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Rune Mages. As far as he knew their guild was small, perhaps only a few mages at most which would explain why they were extremely hard to find. They were never in one place for too long which suggests their guild was mobile. Once they found their target they would remain no more than a week and once the target was killed they would leave in minutes. He had come close to cornering one of them the week prior but had lost track due to being caught off guard by one of their mages.

As far as he knew, their next target was a noble currently residing in Abalam, a small city within Fiore. He had been keeping a close eye on the noble while trying to predict how they would approach him. The troublesome thing now being that they knew he existed, that someone was tracking them down. Since he was alive they would be aware of him. They were already cautious before, but now he knew they would put up extra measures just so that he could never get close. With this in mind he figured doing this alone was difficult. He had been thinking of asking Nina or Briar for assistance but they have both been busy on jobs of their own.

Lucille felt a tingling sensation on his chest pocket; he quickly reached into it pulling out a single white feather. Before he knew it, Seara was next to him as if she suddenly appeared in thin air. Of course this was not the case. Seara was here thanks to her magic known as ‘Winged Gateway’. Seara is able to create a tunnel in a sense between her a one of her feathers. In this tunnel Seara speed of flight is dramatically increased allowing her to cover miles in seconds. ”The Master needs you” Seara said. ”Is it important?” Lucille asked, he would rather not leave his job right now. Seara nodded and Lucille gave a sigh and grabbed onto her arm and within a few seconds he was on the rooftop of the guild.

                Present

Seara disappeared shortly after, saying something about going to get Nina. He frowned; something serious must have happened if Thanos personally requested his and Nina’s presence at the same time. Looking down onto the street he saw Mako and Balthazaar, the iron god slayer of Fairy Tail. He recognized him on sight. It looked like he was fighting Mako. Well fighting was perhaps the wrong word, it was a one sided battle. He could tell from his position that Mako had no chance of winning. Wondering why they were fighting in the first place he stopped watching to look into the distance. The trembles of power pulsating with each step was hard to miss. He saw in the distance, Makarov, Erza and Mirajane slowly approaching their guild. Makarov himself coming to the guild was not uncommon, in the past he has visited Thanos many times for information about runes. However, with the presences of both Erza and Mirajane at the trembles of power, he doubts he was visiting just for information. With Balthazaar being in front of the guild, well it didn’t take much to figure out what might be going on.

He waited for Thanos to give him the sign to enter, when he felt the small pulse of magic release from Thanos he instantly flashed into the guild. Standing to the left of Thanos, eyeing Erza. Unlucky pick he thought. A fog soon followed in his wake, a black and heavy fog that seemed to almost consume the very soul around it. Once it reached the right side of Thanos and Nina appeared from it. Lucille gave her a nodding greeting before reverting his attention back to the three in front of them. Since Erza and Mirajane was already displaying some power, Lucille let off a little magical energy himself, just enough to match them but nowhere near his full strength of course. Nina did the same; of course this would be to their advantage if their opponents were at full strength. However, Erza and Mirajane he knew was capable of so much more power. These were certainly not easy opponents if they were to be opponents of course.

It seemed the matter was indeed about the Iron God Slayer whom he was surprised to learn was now a member of their guild. At first he thought this was a ploy from Fairy Tail to perhaps plant a member within them but seeing their guild master reaction and Balthzaar’s own it seemed far from the case. It seemed after Thanos made it clear that Balthazaar was not leaving with them. The negotiations were over. Well, the kind of negotiation that involved talking anyway. ”I’ll give you one last chance Thanos. Your mages here won’t be able to lay a finger on my Sword and my Demon” Makarov said, his tone was low. Thanos simply smiled, ”I should be the one saying this to you Makarov. You have one last chance to leave with your pride, they won’t be able to beat my Light and my Shadow” Thanos returned. This was the last trigger and Makarov began to increase in size.

Seara was already up the younger members of the guild and taking them out the back door. Lucille looked over at Nina, ”Which one do you want?” Lucille asked. Right now, by nature of position he would face Erza while she would face Mirajane. However, he would be in a slight disadvantage against Erza though he didn’t know if this would improve much with Mirajane. They were both monsters after all. Nina would have a better judgment for these kinds of things and he would rather leave her to decide who she wanted to fight.

                  Before Baltazaar's Arrival

Ruby colored hues were staring at her target, the target only a few feet away. This mission was merely one that was supposed to take a mere two years, but in fact, Nina was really good at hunting her target down. But, for this person to put themselves out there, in the open, obviously it was a trap, at least in her eyes that is what it would seem. This man has been hiding for over ten years, expertly assassinating old masters who were in the magic business. This man, would be after any retiring guild master, and would murder them. How he kept up with each retiring member was beyond her, but honestly, she didn't know what to do in this situation.

A tingling sensation was felt in her jeans pocket, and she reached her hand into her pocket, pulling out a feather. Her eyes never left the target, but if it were important, then she'd have to ditch this mission, even if he were right there, but yet, she still felt it was a trap. Seara soon appeared behind her, almost falling from the lack of support of a tree branch she appeared on. Nina merely smiled before turning towards her, an eyebrow rose.

"The master needs you." Seara said, and she furrowed her eyebrows. "What does he need me for? Did he break a nail?" She joked as she continued to look at Seara. The female's features didn't falter as she continued to talk about the current situation. "Pity." Nina sighed, before giving one last glance to her target. She threw a fake replica of herself out there to see what would happen, and in fact, the ground beneath her fell under the clone. But, it disappeared, just as quickly as she did without Seara teleporting her. Nina didn't like traveling the way Seara does, she has her own means of transportation. She wasn't comfortable traveling with Seara, just something about that type of travel freaked her out. . . she preferred to slither through the darkness and arrive in a creepy manner.

                  Present

As the conversation went on between the two Guild Masters, she awaited to enter the guild hall. She saw Lucille enter, and soon it was her turn to slither in after. Rather he was the light, she was the dark of the guild, and rather they were both popular. Her eyes wandered over to Baltazaar, eyeing him. She looked him over, looking at his wrists for a long period of time, staring, inspecting. There were parts of his skin that you could tell were bound up often, and often tight. He wasn't lying about being bound somewhere by Makarov. Honestly, that seemed to tick her off a little, she was upset by that. Like really? Why would you hold a powerhouse and keep him locked up ? Because he's a rune mage? Because he can't handle the power, or he couldn't? He looks quite capable now. Pity.

As the guild masters got into the deeper part of the conversation, her eyes looked up towards her opponents. Mirajane or Erza, and whoever they faced it wouldn't be an easy fight. She's heard of the powers of Mirajane and Erza, and honestly they can mount up to one another. Their power levels were both equal at the moment, but that didn't mean they were on the same level. Lucille spoke and Nina tilted her head towards him, then eyed the opponents. She forgot he'd have trouble with the weapon master. Hm. She furrowed her eyebrows, gazing at each of them for a mere period of time. Honestly, he would be at an disadvantage at first, they both would since they never faced their opponents nor know what is going to occur. "You're better off facing Erza. You'll adapt to her quicker than Mira I feel." Because Mira on the other hand. . . was quite dangerous, and in fact a threat. Nina would have trouble with the girl since her magic is death magic, and hers is basically demons . . . demons avoid death all the time, but in a sense, it wasn't like she would kill Mira. . . just the skills she felt would be a little, pointless at first.

Lucille gave a gentle sigh. Looking over at Erza than back to Nina. Well, he did say he would go with whatever she said was best for him. Indeed Nina had the better judgement when it comes to a measure of one’s compatibility in a fight. But this really made things no simpler or easier for him. ”Well, you’re not wrong about that. Still you just had to give me the tough one” Lucille said. Looking back over at Erza. He wasn’t entirely worried about a battle of strength, he believed he equalled if not surpassed her in terms of magical power. However the true battle would come down to tactical ability. Brain over brawn. In terms of that he was at a significant disadvantage. Erza knew of his magic, or at least how they worked. Sure, no two magic are exactly the same but understanding the fundamental parts of it provided more than enough to form a counter-measure against it. Lucille only knew of Erza’s magic in theory, he has never seen it in action nor battled against it. He would have to learn what she could do and adjust his fighting style on the fly. This would not be a easy fight, not impossible however. Of course when once challenged a Fairy Tail wizard, well, difficulty came with the package.

”Good luck then. I’m sure Mira will give you a good work out, you have to watch that figure of yours Nina” Lucille said. You see, when it comes to his thoughts, Lucille rarely kept them in his head. He believes honesty is the best policy, and being straight to the point was easiest. Did this make him the ultimate lady’s man? Well, in his head maybe, I mean girls were always on about being honest and truthful right? But well, that was just a fantasy he concocted, most women would probably slap him for commenting on their figure. You would think he would learn however you can’t teach this dog a new trick. As much as the women of Avengelia have tried, slapping him was just easier.

”It appears your opponent will be me, Erza Scarlet” Lucille said, Erza simply smiled. As if she this was what she wanted all along. ”To fight the famed Lucille, let us see if you compare at all to Jellal” Erza said smirking. ”Oh, don’t you worry. My powers are beyond what that traitor could ever conjure up” Lucille taunted and that seemed to tick Erza off. This was a dangerous play but Lucille. He was hoping to get Erza’s emotions off so she would act based on her emotions and not on her thoughts. But this could very well turn in her favour. If he got caught by an attack fuelled by emotion, it could prove rather devastating.

Erza made the first move, she simply had her regular armour equipped and thrust her sword towards him. Lucile dodged backwards. A pre-emptive attack to test out one’s ability. Lucille would do the same. Conjuring small balls of lights on his fingertips he shot them out at her. Erza easily dodged them, however a few she was forced to block with the edge of her blade. This provided him valuable information. She couldn’t dodge all shots, meaning she had blind spots. These small bits of information could provide him the edge he needed to win this fight. Erza made another move this time rapidly dashing towards him and swinging her legs at his side. Lucille only managed to block this attack, the force of it sent him sliding a feet or so. Another valuable piece of information. Erza outclassed him in speed and physical power. If he were to fight her head on he would surely lose. Again, Lucille gathered balls of light on his fingers but this time the balls of light arranged themselves into a magic circle.

”Heavenly Body Magic: Dance of the stars” Lucille said, from the magic circle, balls of lights emitted from it flying towards Erza in a seemingly random manner. This time, Erza could not simply dodge this, she blocked what she could but Lucille managed to land a few on her. ”You’re not half bad. I suppose we can start this fight for real now” Erza said with a smirk. Lucille smirked back, ”Whenever you’re ready.”

"The tough one? Don't be a baby about it." Nina rolled her eyes at Lucille. They liked to joke a lot together, or rather, he was the one cracking jokes while she just gave him a blank stare. But, he kind of was being a baby about it, so she had to state the obvious. Either way, they would both be facing tough opponents. Nina and Lucille have only recently been popular and are on the rise, they aren't that big yet, but are well known for their skills and abilities. With Lucille's next comment Nina shot a glare towards him, a growl escaping from her lips. She showed him her fist, meaning she would get him later for that comment, but now, there was a more serious matter at hand.

Nina looked towards her opponent, Mirajane... The white-haired female had a smile on her face, her hand on her hip as she stared Nina down. Nina smirked as she held her hands out, "Hi there Mira, it is going to be a pleasure facing you." Nina said and Mira only laughed. "I can only hope you'll have fun." She shrugged her shoulders. Mira is a powerful rune mage that has the take-over runes of the some of the most powerful demons they have ever heard of. Then again, there are plenty of demons that no one knows the name of, only Mira knows them. She is one that most people wouldn't want to go on a one versus one, but Nina's guild believes in her powers, and both of their magic is ungodly.

"Power of runes, give me the night and despair, envelop me in your grasp." Nina spoke softly to herself as her skin turned dark, her eyes a dark red. Nina soon leaped forward at an ungodly speed, and crashed into Mira, a great cloud of smoke bursting at the scene as the two suddenly appeared outside the guild home. As soon as the dust settled, one sees Nina as her shadow body form, and Mira as her demon-form satan's soul. Nina's magic, when it is fully activated, transforms her body to that of something like a shadow. Her speed is increased as well as her power level, and she is able to think a little faster when it comes to her skills. Nina's magic is death magic, so she could easily turn the tide to a killer type of magic, but it is a battle, not a death match. Both have to live through it, obviously. In order for her to actually activate the 'death' part of her magic, she has to say a different phrase from the one she said before. But, a side effect of the death magic is she loses time of her own life, which is why its costly for her to use it. It is only used in extreme circumstances, and for a short period of time... only used when she can secure the kill in a quick manner, not costing her life span any longer.

Nina and Mira stare each other in the eyes again, and soon, a laugh comes from Mira as she lunges towards Nina.

So just how strong was Fairy Tail’s strongest mage Erza Scarlet? Well the rumours do not stray far from her real strength. Titania they called her, a fitting name for such a strong individual. Lucille had to respect her skill, though she has yet to display much magic. She hadn’t switched her armour or her weapon. Did she not see him as a big enough thread to warrant it? Well that would be a mistake on her part of she kept up that arrogance. The fight thus far has been a loop of attack and defending. They would trade blows and both elegantly blocked. There had been no damage done to either so far. One would call this a battle of patience. The one to land the first strike would likely be the winner of the battle. It was safe to say he hadn’t started to be serious yet, and neither has Erza of course.

”I think this is enough of a warm up” Erza said. Lucille smiled, it appeared like him, she noticed that he hadn’t started being serious. Erza was trying to get him to make his first serious move. There were advantages and disadvantages to this. Let us use a game of chess as a means to explain Lucille’s thought process. In chess the way you play revolves around whether you move first or second. The same is applied to this fight, he has a lot of choices but they ultimately came down to two paths. Should he attack all out and attempt to lead the flow of the battle or set himself up such that he can gain control of it later. The aggressor or the manipulator. Lucille didn’t have time to think because Erza decided for him. One second she was far and the next she was charging right at him. Lucille barely had the time to dodge, he could feel the tip of her sword shave a few hairs of his nose. Thinking quickly he launched a few shots right back at her, one caught her back.

At that point the real battle begin. Lucille began utilizing a range of stellar magic made for close quarters combat. Erza in turn used rapid successions of exquiping to minimize the damage while attempting to return some. From the outside it looked like nothing had changed from before, just everything was faster. But again, to use the analogy of chess, what they were doing was akin to high speed chess. Having to think in an instant and think several moves ahead, each were trying to set up the win condition.

It didn’t take long for Lucille to realize he was on the losing end. Stellar magic packed power but it consumed an incredible amount of magic. Each spell was depleting his energy and wasn’t doing much to Erza, it simply wasn’t cost effective. In this situation he had to make a spell that packed power enough to break through Erza’s defence. But such a shot would likely consume a large portion of his already diminishing supply. Which would mean this is what you call a Hangman’s Gambit, to stake everything on one move that will either save or kill you. Erza almost sensing this exquipped to her strongest armour. It appeared she too was taking the Hangman’s Gambit. His strongest attack versus her strongest defence.

”Oh shining starts grant me your power, and cast away the shadows of this world” as Lucille said this three shining globes formed above him. ”Orion’s Meteor” he shouted and the globes split hundreds of times and was sent towards Erza, each impact filled the room of an intense flash of light.

Just who wins this Hangman’s Gambit, find out next post! /shot
