Basically, you use the click to mark behaviors you like, and then you reward the dog, so they learn what you're asking of them!

The clicker is great for that! It is a useful tool at all levels of training.

So puppy has a few things going on:

1) He has kennel cough, I'm certain. We had his first vet visit Monday and she didn't think his lungs sounded bad (so no pneumonia thankfully) but she gave me an antibiotic to use for about a week. I know kennel cough is something that you just need to wait out but I hate it so much. I don't like seeing him coughing and hacking and he has nasal discharge as of today from it.

2) Potty training lol... He has only pooped outside once and that was Monday morning. He's pooped inside 3 times since. He just doesn't poop when we're outside. He pees outside which is cool, but he also pees inside...

I know he's only 11 weeks old and it's a work n progress, but still lol. Oh puppy <3

Housebreaking is not a passive process! You need to be actively engaged in it--you need to take him out frequently enough that he doesn't have accidents inside, and reward him heavily for going in the right spots. He sounds like a great dog!

You can also try adding a cue as he's going potty! smile Creed's is "get busy" and he's pretty good about going when asked even if it's only a little bit. It's all about timing and schedules for housebreaking for the first little while.
