760 Years BCE: The King of Zenzare is killed by Arthur N. Emore-Doenits
The king was out on a hunting expedition with some of his men. Arthur and his men were out waiting for him. Half of them were in their base form as wolves while the other half had manufactured tools to make it appear as if a flock of harpies from Orien were in the forest. They killed the guards then made their way for the King, but were stopped as the alarm was sounded and the King was able to escape, albeit injured. Arthur insisted that they continue to leave feathers around the site to make the King's guards believe that Orien was responsible for the attempt. As tensions mounted between the two kingdoms, Arthur struck again. This time, he used a drug that was only found in Orien to kill the King at a public function. The Chef was later found with some of the drug in his room, a letter with the seal of Orien in his room giving instructions on how to prepare the toxin, and executed on the spot.
758 Years BCE: The Elemental gem of Zenzare is stolen
Shapeshifters who supported Emore-Doenits flew into the tower where the Gem of fire was held. They were given entry by Arthur who was working in the castle as the head servant. With everyone preparing for a war which they sensed was coming, as talks between Orien and Zenzare had taken a turn for the worse, no one noticed as the eagles flew in and out of the tower with the gem.
While the Crown was initially more willing to try to talk to Orien and arrange for the assassin to be handed over Zenzare for trial and execution, among the populace, anger was stirred up over the death of their beloved monarch and some Lords encouraged violence against the Orien-born residents, which resulted in Anti-Orien riots of many parts of the Kingdom, in which Zenzare natives kidnapped an Orien diplomat and his family, killing the official when he tried to escape, while numerous Orien-owned buildings were destroyed or vandalized.
755 Years BCE: Talks break down
By the start of the year, authorities in Zenzare imprisoned and extradited approximately 5,500 prominent Orien natives, 700 to 2,200 of whom died in prison. 460 Oriens were sentenced to death and leading this persecution of Orien, was Arthur N. Emore-Doenits and his group of weres and shifters who were going by the name Zenith, meaning the highest point reached by a celestial or other object. Clearly they thought highly of themselves and their cause.
Four months later, Zenzare offered an ultimatum to Orien. Believing that they were responsible for the King's death, they submitted a list of demands. Orien refused and broke off diplomatic relations with Zenzare. As a response, Zenzare declared war on Orien
750 Years BCE: Savona and Brivas enter into the fray
A staunch believer that Orien was not responsible for the assassination and a fierce ally of their sister kingdom, Savona had attempted to help mediate the dispute between the two kingdoms. Much to their disappointment, the talks broke down and they were now at risk of being drawn into the conflict. Because of their position between Zenzare and Orien, there had been a possibility that they would be invaded during the war as it was the easiest path for Zenzare soldiers to reach Orien. Initially they had been relieved that Zenzare would respect their borders and take the long way around to reach Orien. However, Zenzare troops started to tire of this needless detour and the King Regent requested permission to walk through Savona to reach Orien. Savona instantly refused, fearing the destruction of the forests and the disruption of their way of life as the war would undoubtedly be fought in their backyard. Instead of trying to give assurances, Zenzare decided to invade anyway, and Savona declared war on Zenzare.
Not going to see Zenzare be ganged up upon by two Kingdoms, Brivas entered to even things out and provide support to Zenzare. It was at this point that trade began to cease between the kingdoms. Non-nationals were rounded up and arrested, and either deported or killed. Tensions were high all around and families that were composed of individuals from different kingdoms were torn apart if they couldn't be protected.
700 Years BCE: The elemental gem of Orien goes missing
The elemental gem of Orien was once a shining beacon for their people. Placed in a temple located near the castle, it was a symbol of hope and pride. Suddenly, the priests who attended to the temple noticed that it was missing. They assumed that Brivas or Zenzare soldiers had stolen it for their own selfish purposes and to demoralize their people. They had been accused by Zenzare of stealing their elemental gem at the start of the war, and felt that this was the Fire Kingdoms revenge on their people.
690 Years BCE: The elemental gems of Brivas and Savona disappear
No body knows exactly when these two gems went missing. However, elemental magic in all of the kingdoms started to decline over the years and Savona and Brivas were no exception. It was around this time when they discovered the gems were missing and looked for an answer in the other Kingdoms, believing that the other had stolen their gem.
682 Years BCE: Zenzare realizes they were wrong
Almost 80 years after the event, Zenzare realizes that they were wrong about who had assassinated the King. There had been some who suspected that Orien was wrongly blamed for the assassination and had passed along the information to their children. It was with a fresh set of eyes that tools were discovered which could mimic the type of attacks Harpies created and the Orien seal was found to be a forgery. Some more digging was required until it was traced back to a group of shapeshifters within the Kingdom who had called themselves Zenith. This resulted in a hunt of shifters of all kinds throughout the kingdom, angry that they would kill the king of their own kingdom. They kept this information quietly to themselves and made sure it didn't get out the kingdom. Though now believing all shifters were responsible, they branded Zenith as a group of traitors and had all record of them stripped from the history books.
Under this new found persecution, shifters start to leave Zenzare, heading for an island as far away from the Fire Kingdom as possible. Along the way, they would tell any other shifters they ran into about the prosecution hoping to protect them from Zenzare soldiers who would kill them if they found them.
630 Years BCE: The Migration
Over the years, refugees have been displaced by the on going war. There are some who want the war to end, others who want nothing more to do with it. They noticed an unclaimed island that was big enough for them to live on and made their way over, hoping to leave the war behind. At first, people from the various kingdoms did not associate with each other, each taking a section of the island and calling it their own: Zenzare refugees took the south east; Brivas refugees took the North east; Orien refugees took the North west; Savona refugees took the south west.

380 year BCE: The Gem of Nullification is discovered
At some point between 758 BCE and 388 BCE the four elemental gems would find their way to the land that would one day be known as Eryx. The Gem of Nullification was created by the bringing together of all four gems in the 8 years prior to this date, and the land was washed in a white light that gave to all who were present on the island, the ability to nullify elemental attacks. The Gem was found by accident in one of the towers of the castle years later.
326 Years BCE: Eryx is founded
Though people have been slowly making their way over to the island over the years, this is the year where Eryx becomes a State in it's own right. It is no longer a land of refugees, but a Nation of its own, with a system of government which governs all people within its borders.
