although i try my best to walk everyday
i go around my neighborhood
yes,i have set a goal
to maintain my portion sizes
when i eat, stay away from certain foods
be a little more active to lose more weight
Do you mind me probing? I dont want to force you to feel like I am pushing anything...
But that is cool, and its not so much about making sure you do X every X time. But moreso about making sure that you do get things done. And not falling into the trap of letting things get in the way/other excuses. Recently I started T25 which is a pretty extreme, but short daily workout (I wouldnt recomend this for anyone who isnt already relativly fit, although there is a person who is a modifier for less fit people but its still pretty intense). But Im doing it because I know I can find 30 mins a day somewhere, wether morning, afternoon, or even before bed.
Do you know about SMART goals? For goals that work I suggest it, because most goals fail for not having a few factors.
S stands for Specific. Can you say specifically what your goal is. Aka something like "I want to lose weight/gain weight/stay around the same weight" is not specific and thus will often fall over. Where as I want to get down to X, up to X or stay X (whilst building muscle which is heavier than fat) is specific.
M is Measurable, can you put a specific number on your goal. Like I will walk for X minutes. I will eat X servings of fruit and veg a day.
A = achievable. Aka its best to start with small goals, aka as opposed to I am not going to eat anything with sugar at all (which is literally everything) I will not drink any soda drinks or candy (But will drink X drink, and X snack in its place so I dont trip up). Or I will walk 30 mins a day as opposed to I will walk 2 hours every day (which just wont happen).
R = relevant....Aka s your goal really going to get you where you want to go.
and
T = time frame, when are you going to do this by.
Can you do S.M.A.R.T for each of your goals? If so awesome it will really let you know where you are going. If not it helps to rethink about how you can. If that makes sense.
Aka, do you have a specific list of foods you will avoid AND foods you can eat in thier place expecially if you get cravings?
Are you measuring your portions in a way which you can really tell (As opposed to just eyeballing it).
To be more active...what does that mean.
And lose weight....go from what to what by when?
