I'm planning on buying an NES soon and I'm on a budget. so I can only buy one game at a time. So what should I get first?

Ninja Gaiden? or Punch Out?

Neither. I would suggest a fun game that isn't too hard, like Metal Storm, Startropics, or Journey to Silius.

Ninja Gaiden will make you gouge out your eyes. Punch Out is tons of fun, but very short.
But hell if you want hard, you may as well get Contra.

Ninja Gaiden will make you gouge out your eyes. Punch Out is tons of fun, but very short.
But hell if you want hard, you may as well get Contra.

Contra isn't that hard. Once you know how the game works, it's actually pretty easy.

I would personally go with Ninja Gaiden. But hey, that's just my own biased decision since I like games of its genre.

Personally I would suggest getting Startropics or Startropics II: Zoda's Revenge, but if you already played/beaten those games, and going by your choices than I most definitely suggest on getting Ninja Gaiden as you will probably get bored with Punch-Out.
