Hmmm, after reading through the history of even just figuring out what is Star Wars canon, that may not have been a declaration. I wouldn't take it as one unless it was coming from someone who was working Lucasfilm before the buyout.

Or they were saying Disney's Star Wars games aren't canon.

No, they were saying all lucas arts games were non canaon. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/460842/lucasfilm-declares-all-star-wars-games-non-canon/

It looks more like the entire Expanded Universe is now dead.

This is correct, anything outside of the 6 movies and upcoming Star Wars Rebels Cartoon is now considered non cannon, and essentially dead except to be remembered by those that invested in those stories
And the Clone Wars. Apparently Lucas had enough direct contact with it.

That's really sad. I think this is the first reason I'm actually upset with Disney owning Lucasfilm.

The new 'Star Wars' movies will ignore the Expanded Universe, kind of

Iunno guys. Star Tours wasn't bad. They stayed pretty true for the ride at least... give them a chance. I agree that they haven't ******** up Marvel. They have done other none children's films that haven't sucked.

How the hell is this news? It happened ages ago.

I'm actually optimistic about this deal. Two reasons:

1) Pixar and Marvel are both good examples of how Disney works with studios under it - a hands-off approach, leaving the artists to do their thing. And it's worked out just fine. Possibly even an improvement, as the Marvel Studios films are arguably better than most of the Marvel films under other studios, and a lot of the Pixar talent has been utilized to increase the quality of Disney's own animated films.

2) George Lucas not in charge means that we can get something more unique, and less... well, s**t. Let's face it, the dialogue was always something to be desired, a good few of the newer ideas are useless at best and garbage at worst. And Abrams has already shown his eagerness to work on Star Wars with the Star Trek movies, which honestly haven't been that bad at all. So I'm interested in seeing what he does with the franchise.

Kind of pissed about what happened to Lucasarts though.

Know this you did? Consume at least fifteen bugs a day, pug puppies must. Explode, they otherwise will!
This is old news. Lawl.

And I believe Disney has done good work in the past (with coming in and buying a company then making a collective movie that still stays somewhat true to the past owners feel). I'm not too worried.

And if it is terrible, just watch the oldies.
