We have all seen it: the people in GTS asking for a Deoxys for a Vivillon, or an Arceus for a starter.
Generally, I roll my eyes at these guys, and keep going, but it recently got me thinking. Do these people actually ever have success? I see so many people asking for Deoxys, Darkrai, Keldeo, Mew, etc...
Even other legendaries, like Lugia or Suicune.

Have you ever tried to get a rare Pokemon with a simpler or common Pokemon and succeeded? Or perhaps been on the other end, and been the one to trade the rare? What did you trade/receive?

I'm typically trading Xerneas for harder to find Vivillon patterns, but that's about as far as I'm willing to go, myself.

she misplaced her and just needed a new ditto and didnt like xerneas /shrug

I was always wondering about that. mad D I knew you couldn't list them in GTS, but want sure about the receiving end.

But there's still the trades for Dialga and the such, and other legendaries.

Yeah, I put Milotics holding Starf Berries up and ask for the legendaries I'm missing, and that tends to work out pretty nicely =P

I try to snipe the best trade deals
But you can't trade event Pokemon on GtS but only in regular trade.....
So it's stupid to see so many potiental trades go to waste seeing that trainer wants a event Pokemon.

legendary pokemon are a bore since i been capturing and transferring since gen 3
but yeah, people asking for event pokemon are stupid

finding HA, egg moves, nature and IVs are so much easier
some have perfect IV, egg move nature pokemon ready to be trade for a poor legendary

depends
mostly evo items, lucky eggs or any missing berries
would be useful if the had item only filter

I think the worst case of this that I've seen was a simple Venonat and they wanted Genesect in exchange. It's quite frustrating, especially when you're looking for basic pokemon and they want shinies and legendaries all the time. I try to only put in pokemon and ask for certain ones in exchange, so I can set reasonable trades for myself. 3nodding

depends
mostly evo items, lucky eggs or any missing berries
would be useful if the had item only filter

Bigger description boxes, item filters, maybe a filter for specifically what pokemon someone wants... there's a few things that can improve GTS.

But at least it's less if a guessing game than normal trades. That seriously needs help
