Vaalence's face lit up as Akragth told him it's name, and as it explained it's bond to a ranger. "So, an animal companion... but you're still a little different. Some rangers create a companion from will alone, which ceases to exist when they do. But some tame exotic creatures such as you, which tends to be much harder to do. It's one of the ultimate tests for them, or something along those lines." The mystery solved, the fox daotian was pleased to have met something new and learned a few things in the process. "Any time. I'm here to serve the people of Haven, after all." But Magus? That was not a title he'd heard of in some time. A respectable title. One he'd have to wield from then on out in fact. "Thank you. Luck be with you in your own pursuits." What an odd encounter.
Akragth (Lavafang)
Location: Running Down a Random Street

Akragth bowed, bending its forelegs low, and then wheeled around to exit the door. The saddle was lighter, it noted. It weighed differently on the back, made it easier to move, even if by just a little. The hound-creature was more powerful than the horse of equivalent size; the twenty-pound saddle had been light enough as it was. The mild restriction of the straps as they hooked on to the body was expected, almost unnoticeable and it fit far better than the loosened old one, made for a lavafang half-out of puppyhood and only adjusted for its greater size later. The awareness of how much discomfort it had been was far more acute now the old saddle was gone.

Its head reached down and grabbed the saddle with ease, neck 'muscles' handling the weight without strain, carrying it like an errant pup as Akragth bounded out the door. Carrying it had never been the problem. And disposing it down into the matter to energy converter its stomach wouldn't be a big deal, although Akragth was rather full at this point.

In any case, it was gone by the time the lavafang went a-loping down the street like a rhino at a run. The creature was nimble enough that twisting between people with barely a four foot gap between them (when one was the size of a horse, distances became skewed) without knocking them over was not impossible. It could stretch out the full length of twenty feet outside. There hadn't been enough room in the bar, not more than five feet of space in any direction. It wasn't, however, trying to go very fast. Two tons of solid magma wasn't easily stoppable, no matter how strong Akragth was. There just wasn't really that much traction. In other terms, Akragth was practically moving at a horse trot.

The lavafang, unfortunately for the thief, was not nimble enough to avoid the running man that had come from practically nowhere straight into its path. It crashed into the space the thief was occupying, forcing the man to either dodge away or get hit by the full force of about two tons of magma, stone, and carbon with teeth and claws. He would need to avoid being whiplashed by the trailing tail even if he managed to duck aside. In the meantime, Akragth's claws carved furrows into the ground trying to stop, sending up fragments of stone if it did hit rock.

"I'll... take that..."
A cocky voice was heard from behind as he felt something against his waist.
Oh shiet...
Glancing at the belt, he noticed that the pouch of gold was gone.
Widening his eyes, the thief run in to join the crowds, blending in while pushing off some people as the thief try to leave the scene.
Hearing some screams of victims who were pushed by such thief, the werewolf growled loudly, and shouted,
"STOP, THIEF!!"
The werewolf howled before jumping over from walls to walls and running over the rooftop, managing to monitor the thief's movements.
But boy, the thief sure runs quite fast.

"The Drunken Wench? Really? Nah... it's not the same place." Edan stood outside the tavern, looking it over. He'd once frequented a similarly named establishment in the city he met Vaalence's mother, and his now late wife. So many memories, both good and bad. With a sigh he walks inside, heading for the table in the corner, as he tended to do. It gave him line of sight on the whole room, along with the door. A familiar scent lingered in that particular spot. Vaalence. The boy had visited the tavern? It didn't smell heavily of booze, so he wasn't developing alcoholic tendencies as his father did. He just seemed to have the occasional mug, which was fine. He was dealing with a lot, after all. Letting loose another sigh, the daotian ordered a bottle of whiskey. It had been over eighteen years since he last had any alcohol. Since Vaalence was born. While Aideen had had her mother to spoil her rotten, Vaalence hadn't had anyone to do the same, so Edan had done his best, starting with quitting drinking. He figured since his time was rapidly running out, what was the harm in taking up the habit again. Already his strength was starting to fail him, and he still had a few things left to do. Unfortunately Rosalind kept him busy with errands at the guild. He'd actually bailed on his chores to go drinking. Not exactly setting a great example for the recruits.

Widening his eyes, he was wondering what was happening as more screams can be heard from the crowds.
What... is that?
The werewolf widened his eyes to see... a... w-well, whatever that is.
It seems this 'thing' he had never seen before in his life is pursuing the thief as well.
Perhaps... it knows about his money?
Shaking his head, Warpath growled as he looked at his own furry feet as he urge them to run faster.
Suddenly, envisioning himself in a black wolf form, he might be able to catch the thief with ease.
But... his dark form may kill innocent civilians again.
Noticed that this lava-creature is closing the gap to the thief, he managed to run faster with sheer will.

Noticed that somebody else was pursuing quickly, the thief giggled and taunted the beast before throwing a smoke-bomb to the ground.
After few seconds later, a huge black smoke erupted from the smokebomb, covering at least the size of the street-way.
Akragth (Lavafang)
Location: Blocking a Street in the Attempt to Stop

The smoke had absolutely no effect on Akragth, who hadn't even been pursuing the thief. A lavafang was a native of the Lava Fields south of the Burning Plains that burned with eternal smog. A little bit of smoke wasn't a hinderance, and Akragth didn't need to breath. The eyes did not burn with the sting a human would have. No blinking was required, and the fog of smoke only obscured vision for a moment before the lavafang adjusted, using both natural and not so natural senses to compensate. The skidding lavafang coming from the other direction was, however, completely confused about the smoke bomb reaction.

After all, it hadn't even identified the other as a threat or opponent yet. The rest of its body skidded around, swinging perpendicular to the original course correction, blocking the escape to both left and right and still moving a few feet forward before coming to a stop. Akragth had completely stoppered any further movement down the street with twenty feet of head to tail length for the moment. "It asks: What is the smoke for!"

Because it was clearly a defensive reaction that really only made sense if the man had been expecting a purposeful attack.

Oh, a mysterious figure speaks.
The werewolf snickered at it before leaping from rooftop to another.
It seems he is managing to keep up slowly.
Well, that's a progress, actually.

Realized that it is futile to run away from here, the thief chuckled before removing the hoodie.
It was a girl who was wearing some sort of gas mask that covers her mouth down to her neck.
"What do you think?"
The girl giggled as she turned her head side-way before raising her arm upward.
Suddenly, a huge raven swung by and quickly grasps onto her arm with its talons as it flies her away from here.
It seems the smoke bomb was meant as a signal for back-up.
The girl chuckled once again before sticking her tongue out at the beast.

Seeing a familiar tattoo on this girl's tongue, Warwick should have known who she was.
This tattoo resembled to a picture of infamous bandit guild, Bastion's Black Bandit, ranked in top 10 thieving guild.
Shaking his head, the werewolf growled before running quickly toward the edge of the building and jumped off toward the raven.
Was... Was he able to managed to grab on to Raven?
No, he managed to latch onto the thief girl's boobs though.
Shrieking, the girl tries to push him off with her free hand as she screamed out 'pervert'
Losing its balance, the Raven shirked as it was on its course to a tall building.
Warwick, smiling, growled and spoke in his native language before they crashed into a 7th floor of such building.

Akragth (Lavafang)
Location: Dragging a Civilian Boy Away from Warpath's Altercation with a Female.

Bafflement. Akragth really didn't understand what was going on anymore.

Was the symbol on the girl's tongue supposed to be of significance? Akragth still had no idea why the girl had been running away, or why the bipedal wolf-creature that wasn't a Leshayrik and probably was among the moon-cursed was attacking her. Finally getting control over its spin-out just as the massive raven grabbed the girl, it twisted to bring its tail around it, facing the site of the massive crash. "It does not understand why it keeps getting involved," it declared disgustedly, moving in for investigation.

Seventh floor. A more than eighty foot leap. The lavafang could likely claw its way to the top, but it wasn't going to try. Vandalism meant someone would be after it to pay for the damages. And then the girl screamed pervert. "It does not think that explains the situation either," Akragth practically deadpanned as a fragment of the building crashed down on its shoulder and then fell on the ground, a piece of apparently splintered wood. The lavafang stepped on the fragment, broke off a piece, and chewed on it in thought while it watched the altercation.

The encounter had been purposefully taunting, attempt at enraging what the girl had assumed a second pursuer, the wolf-man being the first. Why? There was an organized reason behind this chase, and this wasn't just assaulter and assaultee. Perhaps had it not been mistaken for a second attacker, Akragth would be more inclined to help the girl, but as it was, all Akragth was, was interested in what was going on.

It casually stepped over a boy that had been practically trampled by the rush away from the fight, another piece of rubble, this time glass, pinging off its back. Teeth gently closed around the collar of his shirt in a burning grip that probably was uncomfortable if the boy was still conscious. Better get the civilian out of the way. Not that Akragth really felt obligated to do so in any manner. It was doing this on a whim and the echoes of its last master.

There wasn't much rubble yet aside from the initial crash, but if the moon-curse's strength was any where near what Akragth estimated, there soon would be.

Groaning, the werewolf managed to get up as he glanced around the room.
Now now, what do he see?
There were few weapons organized and stored at the edges.
Oh,unconscious thief girl and a huge raven laying on top of unconscious yet injured... soldiers.
Soldiers!?
Where is this place?
Walking over to the huge hole where they crashed through earlier, he picked up a long-poled battleaxe along the way.
Glancing over the hole, he whistled in surprise as he literally could see majority of town parts from here.
The height of this building and the small size of this room seems quite... unusual.
Then he realized... that this building is one of the watch tower stationed by town guards.
Crap.
Where should he go to avoid being charged by the guards?
Looking below, it seems there are so much commotions around this watch tower.
With his acute eyes, he could see some soldiers marching in here.
The werewolf was in panic for he does not want to go back into jail again.
'Crash!'
The werewolf turned around to find another hole made in other side of the room.
Wait... where's the raven and the girl?
Eyes widened, he walked over to the other side of the room as he noticed the huge raven carrying the thief girl away from here.
Looking below once again, he wondered if he could jump all the way to a rooftop of nearest building.
... no thats impossible.
Warwick is in a difficult situation right now.

Shirtless Shapeshifter

Cerelia sucked in a deep breath, slumping over her horse's neck. They'd traded the cart for individual horses on the way back, as they'd left the body back with her adopted parents. She hadn't told them the truth. Submitting her parents to the knowledge of what their daughter really was, wasn't something the girl could bring herself to do. They were already grieving over Sphalerite's death. They didn't need to know what had lead up to it. So she told them that they'd been attacked by a wounded beast, Sphalerite having not been able to fight it off, and Cerelia had run off, as they all knew that was what she'd always been instructed to do. They mourned together, and they insisted that she stay, but when she explained what she had waiting back for her in Haven, they seemed very happy for her. And after stocking them up for the journey back, the couple waved them off with sad smiles.
Now that it was all over, Cerelia just wanted to crawl into bed and sleep forever. She'd gotten to know a little bit more about Vesper and Elric. Well, as much as they'd let on. Both were rather odd, and Cerelia wasn't sure which one was more so. But they'd parted ways in the city, Cerelia heading for the Emporium . With a huff, she returned her horse before making the rest of the way on foot, missing the large lavafang entirely. Pushing against the heavy door, she made her way inside, letting her bag drop to the floor with a sigh. "That took entirely too long."

Fluffy Fox

A few minutes after Akragth left, Vaalence was still messing around the shop, so, when he heard the door open and heavy bags hit the ground, he wheeled around to see Cerelia there. She was right. It had taken far too long. He'd missed her greatly. Without even fully registering what he was doing, he'd basically run to her and threw his arms around her, holding her close as he breathed in her scent. "You're back..." He sounded quite relieved, even though he hadn't been worried about something happening to her on the trip. She'd had Elric and Vesper with her after all. "Welcome home Cerelia. I missed you."

Shirtless Shapeshifter

She sagged against him as he wrapped his arms around her, tired but relieved. "Mmm, I missed you too." Pulling away, she stretches out and heads for her bag, grabbing the strap and dragging it behind her as she headed for the bedroom. "I don't know about you, but I could really go for a nap right about now."

Fluffy Fox

Vaalence smiles as Cerelia says what he wanted to hear. Things were still good between them, and the time apart hadn't done any harm. Once she parted from him, he watches her start dragging her bag towards his room, so he grabs it for her, lifting it with only a bit of effort. "A nap? Yeah... I could use one too. I just got done a big job for a rather interesting customer. You just missed... him? It? Nevermind. I was actually just making sure everything was in order before I went to relax." Before sleep though, he did have some questions. "How was the trip? Did the guys bother you any? What happened when you got there?"
Elric
Elric sighed, glad to be back in Haven. He had decided to stay here with Mayumi and Allister, and assumed Vesper had decided to the same, as the human had briefly went shopping for stuff to put into his room. He had a unpleasant memory of this place, but he enjoyed the company of his group more than the pain from that. Getting out of town did clear his head. Speaking of which, Elric had remained civil concerning Sphalerite for both Cerelia and her parent's sakes. Cerelia didn't tell them the truth, and even if she did, he would have still remained civil and not speak what he thought of the elf. He had also kept his red eye close the majority of the time, though her parents likely figured out what he was upon arriving or shortly afterwards.
To Cerelia, when she had asked, he only mentioned a bit about his life before his banishment from his home, and the banishment itself. Vesper had gone to return the horses, and frankly he didn't know that Vesper could even handle horses so well.
He sighed again looking at the place that Allister had mentioned. It was rather...small...to say the least, though the angel hybrid did mention that the place was bigger on the inside. The boy also said that Mayumi was still at the place, so she should be able to let him inside. He didn't have to even knock before the half dragon had opened the door and smiled at him, giving him a welcome back and letting him in. That trip was long, and he was now feeling sore and tired. He questioned how Vesper was able to handle stuff like this on a regular bases. Well, Vesper did grow up in a mercenary guild, according to him anyway, so it was likely that he was just plain use to having to travel like this.
Ah, the place was bigger on the inside, nice and roomy too. Home...Elric slightly smiled at that thought. He hasn't had a home since he was ten, and now he finally had a place to call one again. Granted it was with Vesper, Allister, and Mayumi, but frankly, he probably wouldn't have it any other way now. Those three were like family to him. Not related by blood but...at this point it didn't matter. They were the people he could turn too, the people that would accept him no matter what. He sighed, and went to his room, flopping on the bed and falling asleep shortly afterwards.

Vesper

Vesper wasn't, he never did get use to traveling like they did, but sleeping in a nice warm bed after it all was usually worth it. Occasionally it wasn't, but usually it was due to an ungrateful client who swindled out of paying him, which fortunately wasn't often. He signed, buying one last trinket to put into his room before heading towards the house.
He missed his old home occasionally, and were it not for some circumstances. He rarely talked about it when Allister and Mayumi, since they never bothered to ask. Cerelia, however, had asked about it, so he ended up talking a bit about it. He didn't mention much about before he was adopted by the guild leader of the Bloodbane Mercenaries, and god forbid he tell anyone other than Elric on why he left. No one was in the need to know on why he left, and he would prefer if it was kept that way.
He sighed again, traveling to where Allister said the house was. Was that...oh the Emporium, Cerelia had probably been here a while. The house being somewhat near to the Emporium didn't surprise him honestly, considering the relation Vaalence had with Mayumi. He glanced briefly into the Emporium before looking forward again and... He raised one of his eyebrows. Who...was that girl sitting on the bench? Probably nobility, based on her outfit, but she looked so...Vesper shook his head. No, no getting attracted to nobility. Bad things usually happened if a mercenary like him got attracted to one. Then again, both nobility and royalty usually ended up more trouble than it was worth for him. A lot more trouble on the royalty part...He sighed, and continued on his way...only to epically trip and fall flat on his face right in front of girl. He just proved his own point about nobility and trouble in a matter of 30 seconds flat, and ended up royally embarrassing himself with now a bloody nose.

Jared
Meanwhile, Jared was happily dragging both Ari and Sirius to the bar, Ari so he could get a taste of what commoners drink and Sirius because Sirius decided that leaving Ari alone with Jared was a bad idea waiting to happen. The older man usually meant well, but he occasionally was the worst bodyguard ever. The Dragon Tempest of the guild was the better bodyguard of the two, and the Dragon King himself would sometimes questions how the other mercenary did not end up like Jared. Jared himself didn't know, but that didn't matter.
"You sure about this Jared?" the younger human asked. "I mean, we are leaving my sister alone at the inn." The older human male glanced back at the younger. "She knows not to answer the door unless it's one of us, and Mr. Dragon King here has a few alert and trap spells around her room in case anyone tries to get in anyway." he said, receiving a glare from the dragon. "You really are one of the worst bodyguards ever at times..." the dragon said, shaking his head. "That's why you are here isn't it?" Jared said, entering The Drunken Wench with the other two, and picking a table somewhat close to the corner that a strange looking man was in. Ah well, Sirius would have room to stretch his wings a bit, though Sirius didn't seem keen on the idea.
"Lighten up Sirius, this town is full of all sorts of creatures, I highly doubt they are going to do much to do." he said, trying to get the dragon to at least take off the cloak. "I am also a fire dragon Jared." he said. "Honestly if it wasn't for the wings you would be mistaken for a reptilian." Ari said, receiving a glare from the dragon. "Don't encourage him." He said, with Ari just lightly chuckling. "Sirius you also know magic other than fire, so it should be fine." Jared said. The dragon sighed, somewhat defeated. It couldn't hurt for a bit, and with that, undid the clasp on his cloak, and removed the hood to let it fall onto the chair he was sitting in. He received a few looks due to it, but whatever. Protecting the King of Esclair was much more important.
Jared just smiled. "There we go." He said. "I take it something strong?" He asked the dragon, receiving only a grunt. "And your highness, hm...You only drunk wine and champagne at the castle right?" he asked, receiving a nod. "Well then, ale it is!" The younger boy blinked, while the dragon facepalmed. "That's you and your son Jared." He said. "Though I'm starting to understand where that boy got his drinking habits from." Jared just chuckled, and went to get the drinks. Sirius took a look around the bar, before seeing an interesting creature. Was that...it couldn't be...daotians were said to have been exterminated. Not that his people had anything to do with it, Esclair was just outside the area of influence from the people that ran this continent. Or so he heard anyway.
