THE SETUP:

The location: Ciel Noir, an entire city built above a massive bottomless pit. The city, itself, is massive, having been built on state-of-the-art anti-grav tech, and was made with an art deco design. As a result, people use aircraft and the bullet-train-esque Skyrail system to get from place to place.

The prelude: Today, one of the Skyrails is carrying a major shipment of precious metals, and a politician of notable esteem. Besides his usual security detail, he is escorted by The Soldier, a personal friend of his. Despite all the security, many will try to overtake the train today, for various reasons, including The Assassin, The Pirate, and the otherworldly Deceiver.

The Job: You are a photographer (artist). Your job is to take the absolute best photo (draw the best picture) you possibly can, no matter how dangerous or surreal the angle or location of the shot is. Your success will see you richly rewarded; fail, and you may very well succumb to the depths of the pit below.

ABOUT THE MASTERMIND:

So, after being on this site for 5 years, my run has finally come to an end. I've managed to amass a lot of items over time, and after seeing so many lackluster rewards for art contests, I figured "why not step it up a little"? So here we are, at the End of the Line, where you want valuable items, and I want art... And lots of it.

The rewards are pretty clear cut, but the real catch is that First Prize gets first choice, Second get second, and third and Fourth get whatever's left. That said, Third and Fourth will still walk away with somethin' spectacular, no matter what gets picked first and second.

The Gunslinger
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Key Personality Traits: Practical, serious, and resourceful, the Gunslinger has developed a basic formula for which battles she picks: Something she knows she can win; a situation she has plenty of time to analyze and prepare for, and always, always, always bring enough ammo to see it through, no matter the complications that may arise. Yet she wanders onto the train Completely blind, save for a couple guns she manages to smuggle on on a short notice, and a very large check to be paid upon the death of the Assassin...
Fighting Style: Well trained in gunplay of all kinds, the Gunslinger is exceptionally efficient with her weaponry. She prefers leading others into traps, and the long hallways of the train are a small mercy given to her, considering her enormous handicap.

The Politician
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Key Personality Traits: Wise, confident, brave, and, most of all, exceptionally and beautifully kind. This is the Politician riding from one end of Ciel Noir, to the other, in hopes of changing a very soon-to-be-implemented law hunting down the remnants of the now defunct and unfortunate group of former child soldiers known only as the Corpse Initiates, and executing them. With him, the Soldier, one such member, will be his key witness, though the Soldier, himself, is unaware of this. The sad truth, however, is that many forces are at work to prevent this at all costs, including the employers of the Assassin, the anonymous tipper that alerted the Pirate of the precious metals, and the summoner of the Deceiver. The remaining question is: Will he survive?
Fighting Style: More of an orator and verbal fighter, the Politician doesn't have much experience with actual combat.
