When playing skyrim...save often

That doesn't help when Bethesda's games also have save bugs.

Except there's no point if you lose all your saves.

You can have as many as you want and still a chance that they will all be wiped out.

I've not heard of a bug in Skyrim that deletes your saves.

You save often to safeguard yourself from stupid things screwing you over. If there's something potentially deleting your saves then keep a backup in a separate folder.

If you use Ctrl + F on the Wikia you can find at least 12 different things that have to do with saving.

And that only affects one save. I dunno about you, but I make a new save every time I hard save on top of having auto and quick saves.

I don't lose much progress if one goes bad.

If you don't mind me asking how does it only effect one save if it's worded 'saves'?

The way I read it was that it has affected multiple users, which would mean it has affected multiple saves. Entirely possible I'm reading it wrong, but that's how I read it.

Hi there. I just completed the quest for Meridia and got the Dawnbreaker. She tells me what she does, and then I drop to the ground and die. I know there is something one can do about this, I think with the console, but I don't know what. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

With the console, just go immortal with tim. You can use god mode tgm instead. Just be sure to turn them off when you're done.

Especially tim, because you can get some interesting glitches if you let enemies do fatalities on you while you're immortal.
