Turning to face the woman D smiled at her not in a threatening way it was oddly kind of a nice smile he knew his usual charm with women probably wouldn't work or if it did it wouldn't hold much sway she seemed well trained and determined,after looking at her for a short while he spoke in his sort silky smooth voice "you drop down don't ask for a name and say I'm a target?,guessing a hottie in leather gear holding a large weapon wasn't hired to keep me entertained my guess is lex am I right?" He raised his one visible eyebrow as he spoke,D could tell she was an assassin after all he was too maybe lex was more annoyed at the tech he took than he let on but luthor wasn't the kind of man to dirty his own hands,his vision then shifted to the weapon in her hands obviously some sort of high tech shifting weapon his curiosity urged him to pick it apart (what secrets do you hold,what could I make from you,I wanna pull it apart piece by piece and learn all your little secrets) but that would have to wait she was her to kill him but he hadn't reached for a sword or anything of the sort after all with his boosted speed and armour boosting his upgrades even more he could react quick enough over the distance she was at to draw a blade or dodge anything she could throw at him right now and it had already been a long night,still thanks to crocks distraction everything was in place all he needed was a few more hours then it was go time "look sweet heart I appreciate you turning up here but I'm rather busy think we could just talk I can't really be bothered to fight you at this moment?" He said still calm and still in his smooth tone.

Jackal had left the scene a while ago and was feeling somewhat at ease. Confronting his Father after all these years and releasing some pent up aggression was rather cathartic. An unhealthy activity to be channelling his anger into sure, but he lead an unhealthy night-life in general so the more things change the more they stay the same.

Jackal considered returning to the scene where Gardner and the guy from the future were but he couldn't guarantee they were still there and he didn't have the patience to track them down if they weren't. That and he felt it'd probably be a good idea to put some distance between himself and the Green Lantern- Jackal wasn't exactly in his good books.

Besides, Guy could handle the situation. Jackal thought Gardner was a grade A jackass, but he was a grade A that took pride in his job and was good at it. He respected the man and under different circumstances they may even be friends, not that Jackal would ever admit it. Gardner had jurisdiction over the entirety of space Sector #2814, surely he could handle this.

As he was returning to the HQ, he couldn't help but love his new suit. The way it was designed, Jackal had to take his hat off to Mr Fox. The man was a genius. The only electronics in the thing were convenience factors, such as gesture control of the suit and the various visions and so forth. Aside from that, it was just that- a suit of armour. A suit of armour that shields Jackal from temperature extremes, increases his already astounding strength, healing and resilience and was resistant to magic, but a suit none-the-less. All of the weaponry and gadgets could be manually operated -employing mechanical physics rather than electronically controlled- so should the electronics be knocked out say by an EMP, it'd be an inconvenience rather than a disadvantage.

Reaching the hotel, he made his compulsory checks to ensure he was alone and made his way through the network of floors, sub-basements and even under those. Reaching the vault door, he gestured for his mask to recline and had the fingers of his gauntlet retract to reveal his bare digits. Performing the fingerprint and retinal scan, he -and the 2 members on his white list- entry for two hours, after which the doors would lock again, requiring only his credentials.

As Jackal descended the ladders to the activity quarters, he was confronted with various rooms and decoration about the place. Confused, he was immediately informed the moment he laid eyes on Charlotte. "Oh, you've redecorated!...I don't like it."

"Wait, you're here alone?! Where has Kira gotten off to? Nope, not my problem. She wanted the leash loosening. Let this be a test. Which is my room?" As the young girl escorted Jackal to his room, he noted how she was left alone. And Guy calls Jackal irresponsible.

Locking the door behind him, Jackal removed his armour and his kevlar one-piece and got a much needed shower. The hot water soothed his aching back muscles. He really needed to avoid getting hit by Al Zod and Captain 'Subtle'.

Drying off and throwing on a pair of lounge pants, Jackal climbed into bed and allowed himself to drift off.

Gardner then shaped his construct to where Alex was standing on a small circular platform. "Oh and by the way..."

Guy cocked his fist back and punched him in the stomach The motion of doing so caused his injures to be more painful, but he thought it was worth it."That's for butting me in the head with a rifle, giving me a black eye, probably breaking my ribs and making me sore as hell! I'll be generous to take off multiple counts of assaulting a space cop, but theft and murder are still on ya!"

Note: In the year one issues of Guy Gardner, Guy did have an older brother named Mace. He was a cop and was responsible for Getting him on the right track and leaving his life of petty crime However, it was later revealed(when Mace got shot and paralyzed from the waist down) that he was a dirty cop who shook down drug peddlers for money. Ultimately, he wheelchaired himself to a bridge over the water and committed suicide.

As Batson was figuring out his next move most of the remaining lights that were on in the city suddenly powered down; leaving him alone in the darkness. He was a little concerned. "Jeepers! I can't go through the city like this. SHAZAM!"

A yellow streak of lighting came down from the sky and hit Billy; once again transforming him into Captain Marvel. He flew up in the sky just a little past the sky scrapers."Golly, that's much better. I wonder what caused that. I thought that Gotham's power generators finally gave out, but it looks like that's not the case," he monologued to himself as he looked at the evidence of his debunked thought.

Suddenly, he was slammed into by a dark animal shape and fell ontop of one of the buildings. That was unexpected. He got up ready for a fight when his attacker came upon the rooftop; in the shape of a bat. Captain Marvel blinked several times as he couldn't see clearly."Batman?" he asked the shadowy mystery being.

"Batman? Hah! I'm certainly not him.." it replied as it stepped closer and revealed that he was clearly not the Dark Knight...or a human for that matter. "I am MAN BAT and I am very thirsty for your BLOOOOOD!"

Dakota wasn't expecting his sister to appear in front of him with a guy in her arms. "Don't worry Kira that's my sister she goes by Artemis. Though I she must have been up to something interesting since I don't usually see her with a guy in her arms" Dakota said with a cocked eyebrow.

Lamoo had to avoid a small drop when she heard Matrix try to find out information about Earth on the internet and ended up on some porn sites. ~What type of searches did he try to end up on porn sites?!~ "I'll be glad to help tell you about our world. That and show you want not to type in the internet if you are looking for certain things along with showing you databases." She said as they landed. She heard what her brother had said and did a small smirk. "Yeah thing did get a bet interesting after I left the hospital. Met Matrix here who happen to be in a bit of trouble so I help him out. What about you I thought you were suppose to be on patrol but it look like you are on a date." Lamoo said with a chaser cat smile.

Alex took the blow and Gardner's tirade, dropping to his knees. However, Gardner made a mistake, he left himself vulnerable. Alex leaped to his feet, circled behind Gardner and drove the edge of his hand into the small nerve cluster at the base of the neck. Instant K.O. now the problem with the other cop. He only had a brief instant before the construct disappeared, Gardner's ring would protect him from the fall. Alex leaped from the fading platform and latched himself onto the new girl.

Once Matrix was on the ground again, he took a few steps away from Artemis and the other people she had taken him to. He placed his right hand against his Satchel and braced his right forearm with his left hand, crossing the left arm across his chest. He was wary of these people and needed an escape plan just in case things went south. He had two options; Eithe allow his bag to suck him into its pocket dimension and wait it out, or pull out Dreamscape and blind everyone with a Flare, allowing Matrix to run for it. Yes, those were good plans if needed.

"it is nice to meet other friendly inhabitants of this City," Matrix said with a smile. He had gotten good at faking them. "As Artemis stated, I am Matrix. Matrix Foxfoot. And I am sure Artemis can pick up women and children as well." He said before turning to Dakota. "I am actually quite light for a person of my Heritage, so picking me up an carrying me here isn't too much a feat; even with this slightly heavier gravity."

Matrix took a few moments to quickly look over Dakota and the female next to him. They appeared to be mostly normal compared to Earth Standards. Then again, Matrix knew that everything was not as it had appeared. Heck, his bag was a clear example of that.

Charlotte was a little dissapointed that jackal didn't like the layout she had provided it just made the loving area well more liveable but she knew that was just how he was,as he settled down for the night she couldn't help but wonder how al zod and Kira were doing they had been gone a while now,placing her hands on her head she spoke this was the most draining and advanced spell she knew "kaeps ot ym dneirf ohw si detaropes morf su arik" as her words resonated a small spell circle appeared around her and her eyes closed.

Kira relaxed a little "so this is your sister then Kurt" she said smiling politely then nodded towards matrix as if to say hello before hearing her words,with a slight redness in her face and stammering in her voice "we weren't on a date I was taking cloths from a shop and he thought I was stealing em so he came to try and stop me" as she said that she emphasised the word thought and weren't but she was still blushing, finally she laughed a little at her very large smile "I like you Artemis you know just how to frustrate him,wanna come for a drink? You too matrix it's a good way to learn about us well not me personally but is as whole" her vocabulary was starting to turn gibberish it had been a long day a well earned drink and sleep were deffinately on the table,suddenly she heared Charlotte in her head "hello is this Kira?" Her voice said only within Kira's head "what? Charlotte is that you??" After a slight laugh Charlotte spoke again "yes Kira it's me I was worried about you and the major so I used a spell to call you what's happening?" Kira paused for a moment before responding "I'm sorry you worried char I just got delayed a little but don't worry I'm fine i may just be a while till I can get back I'm currently with 3 others at the minute and I can't exactly bring them back to jackals hideout can I?" For Kira that was thinking way ahead for once "no problem Kira I cast this spell on you and it will stay active for about a day if you need to tell me anything just say (llac retsac) ok?" With that charlottes voice dissapeared.

Ooc:the convo between char and Kira all happened inside Kira's head so she wasn't just talking out loud to herself infront of the other 3

Isabella couldn’t help but smile at the man before her. Despite the fact that he was a target given to her by Lex there was nothing that said she had to actually kill him. ”Hm so you know of Lex?” she asked her heavy Hispanic accent clearly coming through.

She turned Harvester back into a spear and threw it into the wall. It only just stuck in the thick wall but it was enough. Isabella ran and jumped at the wall running and then landing on the pole of her spear, due to harvester being a magical item it held her weight. She saw that the man had eyed up her new item and she knew he wanted to see how it worked, ”You like it?” she said crouching down and showing off not only her weapon but her balancing skills. ”It was given to me by Lex, partly for not killing him and partly for some reason… to kill you. So now it’s time for formal introductions,” With that she stood up and put her hands on his shoulders before flipping over him and walking backwards a few steps. As he turned around she began ”I am Isabella Rodriguez or as my enemies know me, the Brazilian Wandering Spider. I am an assassin for hire who always gets her target… when I’m paid up front that is. Now you are a man in a metal suit standing in front of the wall surrounding Gotham, and for once I’m not inclined to kill. Quite the opposite for once I’m intrigued.” as she said this she held out her hand and harvester as it was flying towards her the spear in the end disappeared and the staff shrunk. When she caught it she rested it on the ground and leaned on it. ”now why don’t you tell me who you are, what you are doing and how we can work together to get rid of our shared problem… Lex?”.

It wasn’t Isabella’s style to team up with her targets she usually just shot first and got out of there but with this man it was different, it was like she wanted to get close to him.

"My name is Gabriel Kyle my alias is D it can be used to mean a multitude of things most commonly death as many have found out but you do intrigue me you wish to destroy your employer that's rare for somone like us" he was quite taken by the Brazilian beauty she showed skill and a great aptitude for weapons (must learn more) he said to himself in his head,"the weapon you use has me very interested along with the idea of removing lex from the game,why don't you tell me miss what would your plan be to remove him from his throne" every word he spoke was in his usual silky smooth voice and although he would usually want to remove another assassin from play he couldn't help but like this one "how about this then you tell me your plans and I shall reveal to you mine then we simply merge the two achieving both goals at once?"

While Jackal was free of the red ring and it was no longer influencing him from afar, his dreams were still plagued with disturbance. He'd been asleep two hours and his rest was anything put restful. Tossing and turning, faint mumbling could be heard emanating from Jackal's locked room.

All was relatively quiet in the safe house, that was until a deafening thump thundered through the base. Jackal was sat bolt up right, his eyes wide in the pitch black. He could feel cold sweat that collected on his body trickle down his shoulders. It was only when he tried to move that he discovered the source of the noise. He removed his fist that had embedded itself in the wall to his right. The sound of crumbled debris could be heard lightly falling as Jackal withdrew his arm. His heart was racing and he was breathing heavily, which concerned him as this rarely occurred- even when he was fighting.

From experience, he knew that once disturbed he wouldn't get back to sleep easily. Stepping out from under his duvet, he brushed his hand against the wall, feeling his way toward the door. Unlocking the bolt, he opened the door- initially blinded by the light.

He stepped out into the hall way, naked were it not for a pair of The Muppets lounge pants -the pattern was Animal to be specific-, his well toned and heavy muscled body on display. Normally, Jackal would have more modesty however seeing as all other members were out and he assumed Charlotte to be asleep, he didn't see any issue with it.

As he made his way to the kitchen, he took note of the time and realised more than 2 hours had elapsed since he entered. This meant that the entrance could only be opened by himself now. Retrieving the ingredients from the fridge and cupboards, he started preparing some fried Chicken at the early hours of the morning.

Dakota had a small blush on his face when his sister teased him about possibly being on a date with Kira. He notice that Kira was also blushing because of it but caught on that his sister was teasing them. He turned his attention to Matrix "It's nice to meet you Matrix glad to see that my sister was able to help you out. I also know for a fact that she can pick up women and children, the kids actually think of her as a angel when she rescues them that way." He said with a soft smile. Dakota had to admit that Matrix's was in the cute department it would seem that he and his sister had ran into some interesting and beautiful people. "As you heard we're heading to a place to drink and hopefully the places also serves good food. I'm just a tad hungry so sis do you and Matrix want to join us?"

Lamoo had a feeling that a lot more than that happen between Kira and her brother but she let it slide. Lamoo had to admit that Kira was beautiful and seemed like the type of girl she or her brother would ask on a date. Of course she was sure that her brother thought Matrix was cute like she did. "Well I'm up for going out for a drank." She turned to Matrix "I can tell you things about the world as we drank and have a good time. So you feel like coming Matrix?" She was hopeful that he was up for it since she did want to learn more about him and his home world.

It was a fatal mistake for Gardner from the second he let his gaurd down and punched him. Before he could blink or utter a profanity, he felt a rough hit to the back of the neck. His protective green aura quickly vanished as he blacked out. It wasnt long after that gravity took effect and pressed down on him. Hurtling down towards the earth.
