Recently I saw the movie Kamikaze Girls. It's a cute movie about a Lolita and "Yanki" becoming friends, if you didn't wasn't to click the link.
Anyway, I really liked the movie and wanted to see more movies and animes with Lolitas as main characters. So let's have a thread dedicated to them. Okay?

Mizter Rokoko is another lolita movie. It's pretty short. I think about 25minutes if I remember correctly, but it's still funny and always great to watch.

I'm actually semi-curious if there are necessarily enough titles with prominent lolita characters that can make up a nice list. Most of the time anime and manga don't do a stellar job with depicting the fashion correctly, and while I don't quite consider myself a snob and I don't pick the show apart for it I do get a little irked :B

All I can think of is the anime Gosick but that's not really lolita since the MC just wears Victorian fashion.
I think Dantalian no Shoka has some character designs that AatP contributed towards, but I just got that info second hand from Lolita-Tips and they weren't 100% sure.

There's this LiveJournal List that tried to basically list off anything with Music, Articles, Movies, Manga, and Anime that incorporated lolita or anything that at least tried...

But I wouldn't necessarily say it's a good enough list to go by for proper lolita at all (in the Anime & Manga areas in particular), maybe someone could try checking them each out to see if it'd be worth it. But I'm thinking considering some of the titles on that list I recognize in the anime section at least, anything that showed a character in almost lolita for even one episode made the list?

All this quick research is just making me want to go back to working on my own lolita comic lol

The manga Cat Street (same author as Boys Over Flowers) has one of the main character's friends as a good depiction of a lolita, and was made into a live-action drama as well. I'd recommend reading the Kamikaze Girls novel, as well, as it's a little different but also hilarious with really touching moments. Plus, the author of it writes other short stories, many of which are lolita-related.

Oh, and I think there was a Japanese Power Ranger that was a lolita.

There really aren't many movies with decent looking lolitas as main characters. One that I noticed hasn't been mentioned is a Jdrama called Deka Wanko. I haven't really seen much of it, but from what I gather, it's about female detective who wears AP and has a dog-like sense of smell. It looks a bit cheesy, but still cute.

There is a horror movie called Gothic & Lolita Psycho. The girls outfit doesn't really look lolita to me, maybe more visual kei.

Like most Japanese horror movies, it's corny.

too lazy to check if someone mentioned this but there's a movie titled lolita. it's based on nabokov's book so it doesn't have the element of lolita style, just a grim story about a dude who's 'fascinated' with a girl he calls lolita.

No one's mentioned X-Cross. She's not a main character, not even really the main bad guy, but that's another movie with a crazy Lolita killer.

I'm pretty sure that's all of the movies with Lolita as almost-main characters, though. As others said, there really aren't very many of them at all.

Deka Wanko is a manga that was made into a live-action tv show in which the main character is a Lolita. It's really funny, and they feature a lot of major brands, although her outfits are not STRICTLY Lolita.

There's a girl in the anime/manga Paradise Kiss named Miwako who does lolita sometimes, and the character Isabella is I'm pretty sure doing madam which is the female equivalent of aristocrat. But there's not really lolita or madam flavor in the live action.

In Nadeshiko Shichi-Henge (The Wallflower) there's a band of gothic lolita but they're kind of there to make fun...show the bad side of lolita...I'm not sure. But there's tons of lolita style in the anime/manga otherwise.

There's a gothic lolita in the live action movie Elevator Trap (Akumu no Erebeta) for sure -she's kind of the main plot-. This one I actually liked, its written a bit cleverly. It seems corny, but you wait. (Its on Netflix, too).

When I think of lolita movies I think of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Pirates of the Caribbean. I wouldn't call them strictly lolita but they are Victorian era.

It's not technically lolita, but I feel like sophia coppola's Marie Antoinette could appeal to a fellow lolita. c:

It's very visual and the story is very sleepy, but I feel like that's the charm of it.

I don't recommend this for 17, or younger crowed for the obvious of what it is.
I came across an american-made porn series entitled Innocence of Youth.
Actresses are wearing lolita fashion as a well as some male actors wielding japanese lolita literature of some sort.
