blood is always red. the color of your veins masks it and makes it look blue. the only difference is that blood outside of your body (in contact with oxygen) tends to be a lot brighter, whereas deoxygenated blood tends to be much darker.

Yes, but your blood is almost always oxygenated. Plus if it was blue then we wouldn't call red blood cells red blood cells.
