New Forum Code Release
Well, if you are here, and you are reading this, then congratulations, you made it with us! What you are looking at hopefully looks exactly like the previous forums, however, we've changed just about everything. Probably the most significant of these is the lack of "archived" or "offline" posts. Additionally, post editing will be reenabled once we know the code is going to be okay. Additionally, there are two known issues we are currently resolving.
1) Threads older than 21 days might be slow to load. This is because they may still need to be paginated. This will add about 2-3 seconds to the thread's loading time for the first load only. From then on, the loading process should be lightening fast.
2) Threads older than 21 days may not be able to have their posts called by ID. A call by id will look like:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1234567#1234567
We are still in the process of indexing the 40 million+ posts, and should have that completed over the next few days.
The following posts contain some additional information that you may find useful concerning the migration.
