Mod = Moderator = Those who keep Gaia's little hamster wheel running.
This includes all Gaia staff, artists, developers, technicians, midnight-oil burning code monkeys, admins, general forum moderators, forum assistants, and anyone else who works directly for Gaia that we have failed to mention. - whether paid staff or official volunteer!

The Reverse Modmas is our way of saying "THANK YOU!" to all those who put their time & effort into keeping Gaia going. If you are a mod (of ANY kind) OR were a mod at any time this year all you have to do is give us a POST. (Though we love it if you have time for a chat as well, we totally understand how busy you can be!)

Enjoy drawing/making art? No need to ask! You are welcome to join us, just drop in and start scribbling away!

WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE BASED ON MOD COLOR!
which means if you have a color other than black (or dark blue for our friends) for your username you are considered a mod, therefor drawable ;p (ex: Forum Assistants, admin leads, admins, official gaia artists (and we totally sqeee if you are one of these and come by), developers, etc)

Additionally:
If you were a mod earlier this year but are no longer a mod (And it is verified) you can still get art ^_^

NEWS UPDATE

Jan. 8th, 2013: Thank you all for hanging out with us this year! We hope to see you again at the next reverse modmas!

Dec. 17th, 2012: All mods except one now have art~ This is also a notice that updates will be slower due to some IRL stuff going on with the folks running reverse, but we will try and keep things updated as much as possible <3
Dec. 10th, 2012: so far 110 arts have been drawn by 26 artists for 80/84 mods~~
Dec. 3rd, 2012: so far 78 arts have been drawn by 23 artists for 54/75 mods~~
and this is just the first week!

HISTORY
Four years ago, the mods put together something they called Modmas, where they gave out items, had contests, etc. Drakokatze thought that it was about time that they should be given something back instead and founded a Reverse Modmas, along with 13 other wonderful Gaians who jumped in to help. We were able to art over EIGHTY mods the first year!!!

This is now the FOURTH year of the Reverse Modmas!

year one: 80 mods drawn by 13 artists (118 arts total)
year two: 88 mods drawn by over 15 artists (210 arts total)
year three: 106 mods drawn by 47 artists (241 arts total)

Let's make year four one for the records!

How It Works
1: be a mod/ admin/ someone with a funny color for their name
2: post
3: get art
whee

Feel free to post a few other avi's you might like to get drawn, we just ask that the total come to 5 (between current avi's and additional ones)

All finished art will not only be posted in here, but also sent to you via PM once the thread is closed (to ensure that you get it). We apologize if this means you may get it twice, but we'd rather really make sure you have it instead of you not getting it at all.

Now Introducing... The ARTISTS!
This list includes all of the artists who draw a mod. ^_^ No need to ask permission, feel free to join us in drawing any of the moderators on our list
- just pick up a pen/pencil/mouse/etc and have at it!
(There is no requirement for how many or how few you draw or for headshots/full body/etc. just draw what inspires you to the degree you are comfortable.)

We do ask that you please send a PM to Reverse M-dmas with any finished art, and post it in the thread as well. (This is just so we can make sure the intended moderator receives their art!)

As an added bonus to the already amazing fun of joining us in arting the mods at the end of the modmas season we'll be holding a raffle for all the artists on our list and giving away art by Sundri and Drakokatze

Mods Yet to Be Drawn
This is used to keep track of who still needs art, our goal is to get each mod that posts in here at least one art ^_^ (if there is a link with their name it leads to alternative avis)
There is no requirement to how many mods you have to draw, or what size/style you choose. Be creative & have fun!

note to artists: a visual guide to all the mods is located under the links (see Posts of Doom).
This includes what they are currently wearing and sometimes alternate avi's.

All mods have at least one piece of art!!

*If you'd like to draw this one with weapons, a dagger in the left hand and a sword in the right would do nicely. :3 Here is a reference for the in-game armor, and here (spec. war paint #4, although that's optional) is a reference for the dog (it's basically like a Mastiff with cropped ears).
