Pyramid Head vs. Big Daddy? (who'd win in a fight)
I like this match up...
But the real question is which Big Daddy?

Also...
I haven't played a Silent Hill game in a while...
But don't you never actually kill Pyramid head?
So who is to say if you can actually kill him.

Girl-Crazy Grabber

Pyramid Head is only invincible (and exists) because of the mental issues of James' guilt. Once James gets over his mental issues, PH kills itself because it is no longer needed.

Big Daddies are specifically mentally programmed for one purpose. They don't give a ******** outside of that. They do not feel guilty about what they have to do, because they don't even think about it. They just have to do it.

Therefore, Pyramid Head would either not exist in the first place, or kill itself immediately, or just plain not be invincible because there are no feelings of guilt to sustain it.

Unfortunately for him, he's also fleshy, so without the guilt shield to protect it, he'd be ********.

Pyramid Head can't die, but he's also a manifestation of one's guilt... So the battle would just have to do with if Big Daddy had any guilt, and if he did... if he'd be able to overcome it or not.

Now, taking out the actual themes and 'powers'... I'd still give the fight to Pyramid Head, though it'd be close. But a guy with a few bio-enhancement powers and older style guns defeated Big Daddy, and Pyramid Head can slash his 'sword' through pure steel with unheard of strength.
All my money on Subject Delta.

Fight doesn't occur at all.

Big Daddy has no guilt or issues regarding taking a human life, therefore he would not be called to Silent Hill in the first place. Even if he was, he is not James Sunderland, so could he maintain feelings of guilt/sexual tension AND witness the picture of the Union death camp with hooded executioners to inspire the God of Snakes and Reeds to manifest that guilt in the form of pyramid head.

Thus, Big Daddy wins by complete forfeit.

You don't.

Pyramid Head does not stop unless the God of Snakes and Reeds tells him to.

Actually Pyramidhead is also in Homecoming and possibly a couple others I haven't played in awhile. Since Big Daddies can be killed just by backing up and shooting at them with Plasmids and bullets, Pyramid Head just has to take his great sword and slice it in half.... Pyramid Head wins... Now a real fight would be guilt vs. guilt Boogeyman (downpour) vs. Pyramidhead (SH2/Homecoming)

Game wise, pyramid head would win no matter what, since you can't kill him but a big daddy can in fact, die. Logically wise, I would have to say big daddy. He is armored, he has technological weapons instead of just a huge a** sword and plasmids, which are basically magic. But still, who cares if you can't die.

Except in Homecoming the monster is referred to as Bogeyman and the "costume" of it you can unlock for Alex is also called Bogeyman.

So your argument amounts to "it is the same because I say so"

Looking similar does not mean it is the same... especially when that would contradict both SIlent Hill 2 and the simple fact that they do not look the same. Pyramidhead's helmet has a flat nose and Homecomings Bogeyman's is pointed. Pyramidhead also lacks the tabs/studs along the back edges. Looking similar does not mean they are they same.

Then you have the fact that it is implied via one of the bad endings that there could possibly be more than one Bogeyman (the ending shows two of them turning Alex into a third) which is something that was never implied of Pyramidhead.

You are making an assumptive argument that is not supported by the actual game lore or even the terms used in the game. There is no statement in the game that says they are the same and the lore from Silent Hill 2 would rather contradict that statement. It means you are using an assumptive argument (where you assume because they are similar... that they are the same.. instead of simply being similar as shown in the games)

In short, you can not actually prove your claim as true.... but material from Silent Hill 2 contradicts your claim which suggests it is likely false.

It makes it seem like you are using a strategy commonly used by fans in vs threads where they twist or tweak information from games to suit their arguments... however such an argument is inherently flawed as it lacks support and contradicts game material.

To be fair...
Two Pyramid Heads.

That being said, PH and Bogeyman aren't necessarily the same thing. Like how Link can look the same in multiple games but not actually be the same person.

Or, for that matter, that there can be multiple Big Daddies that aren't the same, or have different weapons.

Also regardless, there still isn't anything that matters, because it's still a manifestation of mental issues. Big Daddies can't really have mental issues because they only have one thought.

I can grant you that as I had forgotten that tidbit... but we are still left with the key difference of the Bogeyman apparently being able to make more Bogeymen which is not something we have seen of Pyramidhead (of course lacking evidence is not proof they do not, but it means any argument to that effect would also be assumptive)... and of course the visual differences.

I agree with you though, they are similar... but just as "link" is not the same person in every game I think it is a safe deduction based on what we are shown to say that the "executioners" of silent hill are similar... they all bear similarities in one form or another be it via function or aesthetic, but that does not necessarily mean they are all the same.

Also your argument regarding manifestation based on guilt is worth reiterating... since Big Daddies do not feel guilt.
