[Story]

If there is one thing humanity excels at, its war. Any thing, no matter how trivial or serious can provoke one. War is constantly changing, but always the same, one side, or multiple, fighting another for whatever reason they may have found. Again the world hangs over the edge of another great war, though things have changed once more, this time in ways never thought possible before. These factions seek very differing goals, be it control or peace... To destroy everything or to protect it. Neither are bound by government or anything else for that matter, Their members don't fight with conventional weapons, Well, Some may. Instead these factions fight with inhuman powers or highly trained abilities... Some aren't even humans for that matter. The members of these groups are loosely bound to the organizations though, most seem to be off doing their own things... Playing hero or villain as they please. For now things have yet to heat up between the two sides.

Some suspect there to be government involvement in the two groups, both sides are amazingly well funded and fully capable of fighting even the strongest military. Sadly, One of the sides has taken to doing just that, using their powers, abilities and weaponry to fight a war for world domination. Luckily there is a faction standing in complete defiance to those who'd want to bring harm to the world. Those seeking domination follow with the rather dark and very often corrupt ChaosINC. Formerly a well respected company with a normal name that had fallen under the control of a complete psychopath, ChaosINC is well funded, secretive and even has control of other, legitimate seeming companies to keep the money coming... Of course they could always have more.

On the other side of things rests the Guardians, a rather heroic group that steps in at any possible chance to stand in the way of ChaosINC. These are the guys who protect the innocent, Save lives and do all the good things... They're the big heroes of things... Or at least they appear to be. Where they get their funding, What their goals are beyond stopping ChaosINC... its all unknown at the moment. Despite their good guy appearance, they could very well turn around and be just as bad.

Now, some would hope that with such a dire situation quickly brewing between the two organizations that a government... Or a united group of governments would step in to do something... Sadly thats not as easy as it sounds. Though, that doesn't mean they're sitting there doing nothing... A union of governments has begun work on recruiting their own super power folks, training their own soldiers and gearing up with some really high tech stuff. This union of the U.S, Canada, Germany, U.K and Japan is called the I.S.R.F, International Superhuman Response Force. Catchy. While it would seem that this force and the Guardians would be buddy buddy, the I.S.R.F has engaged them in combat just as willingly as they do ChaosINC, to the I.S.R.F anyone who isn't with them is a threat to the world... And those cannot be left breathing.

These three factions are the big players in the world and the story to come, though they're certainly not the only ones... Smaller groups exist, yeah... But its hard to grow when the big three are busy recruiting those with powers... Or destroying those who don't join them. Thats right, ChaosINC, I.S.R.F and even the Guardians are known to track down unaligned powered individuals and attempt to recruit them to their side. If you don't join them... Well, Then theres too much of a chance of you being an enemy to let you live. While ChaosINC is quick to try to eliminate anyone who won't join them, the Guardians and I.S.R.F are at least a bit more reluctant. This threat of being dragged into a war or being killed has caused many to try to hide their abilities from the world... Though these guys are some pretty good trackers, Its hard to stay hidden from any of the three.

[Setting]

The current setting is a large city comparable to New york or any other major american city. The name is Sunrest City, located in New york state, The city is large and filled with many things you'd find anywhere else. This is the home city of ChaosINC, They operate out of large office building... With a different name and the appearance of a legitimate business. The Guardians have also established some form of hidden base in the forest near the city. Under the city itself rests the U.S base of the I.S.R.F, currently keeping an eye on both sides. To the west of the city lies a large forest that stretches around to the north. The south slowly transitions from city to suburb while the east is covered by a large expanse of plains and farm land with a small town sitting a few miles away.

Update #1

Things are as calm as they can be with three super powered groups that hate each other sitting in the same city... Nothing major has kicked off and no big names have shown up to cause trouble. A few little disturbances here or there but nothing serious.

Update #2

The Ruby Lion has been destroyed thanks to Caim, A member of ChaosInc. A brief fight has broken out between many different supers located at this bar, though everyone seems to have escaped. The non-super deaths here have set in motion a new event.

Update #3

A horrible attack has been made by ChaosInc Member Caim, This attack has provoked the undead into rising earlier then expected.

Event: Fury of the Dead

This event is just beginning. Progress will be tracked below.

Event Update #1

The dead are growing restless...

Recent deaths in Sunrest City seem to be having an unexpected effect on the denizens of the afterlife... They seem to be growing furious with each death.
Reports are beginning to come in of people seeing ghostly figures throughout the city, Some claim to have seen their dearly departed loved ones and some have claimed they'll come across someone who'll disappear before their eyes.
Those who are more attuned to the spiritual side of the world will notice these changes as time progresses.

Spirits are beginning to refuse to pass on to their final destination.

Sunrest's Graveyard is feeling unusually cold.

Panic in Sunrest is rising, She is awakening.

Event Update #2

Their rage, Her rage, Can be contained no longer!

The horrible attack by ChaosInc member Caim has single handedly fueled the rage of the dead to their breaking point!

Through the city a horrible, unearthly shriek could be heard overwhelming any other source of sound. The spectral figures that had been seen before were now solid and very obvious, The city was rapidly filling up with these undead beings popping into the realm of the living once more... Those who had died that very night only adding more to the ever growing horde. At Sunrest Graveyard, The ground seemed to burst open as many corpses crawled their way out of the ground... Though one stood out from the rest.

This girl seemed as though she hadn't rotted at all since her death, Her skin had paled, yes but she looked to be intact unlike the other horrors crawling out of their graves around her. Her attention was focused on the city it would seem... Though she was looking past everything almost, to the radio tower, the source of all this death and misery. Again another superhuman had used their powers to take away lives, this time in mass through manipulating animals to turn on their loving owners, causing wild animals to go berserk on any they could find and causing the zoo animals to run wild. This man was the reason the dead now rose from their graves... And those he had killed that night were rising again as well to take their vengeance on him. With a quick glance between the mass of undead horrors around her, The short red eyed blonde set out to the city...

Her life had been ended because of this superhuman nonsense and now she was going to end each and everyone of their lives for what had happened tonight...

Amelia had awoken and the dead awoke with her.

You know, Life is pretty easy if theres metal under your skin.

Today had been such a nice day, She spent the time out just seeing the sights... Everything was still so pretty and amazing even two years later. Oh, but that enjoyment of the day had passed, Here she was facing down three guys who thought they were sooo tough... Just normal humans too, not even the super kind of criminals. Now, How she got lead down this alley wasn't important, what was important was getting out of it... Wouldn't be too hard. " I was having a nice day... How about you guys just go away and... " She had been cut off, one of the three men stepping forward and towering over her rather intimidatingly, He was a big one.

" You know, We can all have a nice day if... " the thug began to speak only to be cut off by her this time. " Denied! " She had turned away from the man and actually began to just leave... They seemed almost stunned by the fact she had decided to just blow them off all of the sudden. " Wha- Hey now don't you walk away! " The man who had just been trying to intimidate her now was coming after her, roughly grabbing her shoulder, Bad choice. Quickly reacting to the grab, her elbow got sent flying back into the man's stomach, a forceful blow made all the worse by the metal hiding under her 'flesh'. His grip on her disappeared as He went to clutch his stomach and fall to his side... She had broken something, his fault for provoking her!

" Can I go now? " She said, glancing to the other two with an annoyed look as she pointed to the exit of the alleyway, they seemed to be considering letting her leave actually. Sadly it didn't seem like she was going to get so lucky as to just walk away with hurting one person, She'd have to hurt them all. The other two had decided to charge her, intent to beat her for hurting their friend, again another mistake. She had turned to face them fully just in time to see a fist flying towards her face, the blow actually sent her stumbling back but it seemed to do way more to the man's hand. " Ah! The ******** is your face made of!? " Her attacker shouted out as he grabbed his hand, He had hit her pretty hard and really if she was actually human she'd probably be knocked right the hell out. She didn't bother replying, just looking to the other man as He seemed to be concerned for his safety... He was probably reconsidering trying to attack her.

" So... How about now? Can I go now? "
She again asked calmly, again looking annoyed... The other man's hit had done nothing to her it seemed and she had already probably broken the first man's ribs. This time the remaining thug just nodded quickly letting her know she was free to go... He probably thought she was one of the superhumans that the city seemed to be home to, While He wasn't too far off He'd still be wrong. " Thanks. " She said almost cheerfully as she turned to leave the alley way and head back to the sidewalk and be off on her way.

Behind her the unharmed man began to tend to the one rolling around on the ground as the second still cussed and tried to get his hand to stop hurting. Well, They shouldn't have tried to fight a robot! ...Well, She didn't exactly warn them she was made of metal but... Still, It was probably safer to assume that there was a good chance that whoever they may have tried to rob or whatever was probably far from normal.

Jason smiled as he handed a pitcher of beer over to some university....sorry college student who was having some loud meeting with a bunch of his friends. Even though Jason had moved countries he could still not shake some of his background. No doubt it would be the end of him. But if someone couldn't live life when he had it, what was the point of having it?

He laughed with a semi-amusing joke from the rather tall balding man who came into the bar every night like clockwork. His name was Ray and he worked in middle management. He was happy with his life until his wife had left him for his more attractive younger brother. She had taken the kids. And now he lived with a just cat in a three bedroom apartment. Oh, and Ray had no problem talking about his life to strangers.

But Jason had found that hardly anyone had problems talking about their lives to strangers if those strangers happened to run bars and hand them alcohol. It was part of the reason Jason had bought it. He had this thing about collecting information. It seemed strange to him as this desire had only just seemed to kick in after his crash. There was something wonderful about listening to everyone complaints and joys and thoughts without having to share any of your own.

"Hey there Girlie"
Jason greeted a lovely blonde lady with a killer figure. He gave her a grin and a wink as he filled up her usual shot of Red Label Walker. She had weird tastes for a young lady full of life, but then again, you really had to get to know people to really know them. And a drink could say a lot about a person.

"Hey Jason, how are you?" she asked him as she took the drink and past over the fee.

"I'm dandy, you?" he asked in his normal English voice. People seemed to love it. Americans found English people so novel. It turned out it was also good for business.

"Oh, Jason, he's gone and left me again..."
she stared to sob uncontrollably on the bar. Jason was alarmed by the sudden waterworks. But it only took him a moment to return to his normal self.

"Tell me about it"
he invited, making sure the bottle of Walker was close by. And she did. It had turned out that Dan had gotten tired of her flirting with other guys and her habit of using her assets to get what she wanted. Jason could agree with that. She had on many occasions tried to get out without paying her tab to him but batting her eyelids at him. The first time she nearly had gotten away with it to.

“What am I going to do Jason? I just love him so much” she told him drinking down her third shot for the night.

Jason wanted to badly tell her to wake up and just stop playing around, but she’s never come back to his bar. “What do you think you should do?” he asked pouring her another drink.

“I want him so bad, but a like free things so much too. I mean look at me, it would be a waste if I was just kept for just one man, you know”
she said proudly as she drunk down her forth shot.

An hour later Jason ran in the blonde and Ray making out in broom closet. He swiftly made an exit back to his bar. He sighed and shook his head before passing Harry, his help on tap who was in his early 30 and had all the signs of old military, a $20 note.

It looked like tonight was going to be an interesting night...

Perhaps now that she had injured two men and left another one frightened she could get on with her day. Sure, She probably should inform the police but really She might as well just let them go. Those men would have to go to the hospital probably and then they'd have to tell them they got their a** kicked by a small girl. It would be an embarrassing tale, more so if the one man admitted to having his hand broken on her face. The thought of someone trying to explain that situation actually caused her to laugh a bit... Perhaps it was a bit mean but they were criminals in one way or another, laughing at their pain and misfortune wouldn't hurt. Oh well, She wouldn't actually know what'd come next for them, She probably wouldn't hear anything more of them.

Instead she needed to focus on the day and enjoying it... Surely there couldn't be more than one annoyance in a day. Perhaps she'd find someone that she could help... Though that was what lead her into that situation in the first place. See, She was just trying to help someone and it was some form of trap to lure in a victim... Though in hindsight maybe she did help by being the one that fell for it. She actually felt rather good knowing she had been tricked into the situation those three had put her in, If it wasn't her then whoever else found themselves in there may have no been able to get away. Well, it was good that she was targeted, The guys could have shot her and she'd have kept going after them. Another benefit she had over the humans, Being a machine she could take a lot more gunshots then most humans could... She wasn't bulletproof but she was resilient.

Now she hadn't actually had the chance to test out her survivability against bullets, but she just knew somehow, probably something programmed in her mind. Her mind didn't work too much differently from a human's though having a computer mind did give her an edge on thoughts and allow for several other things... Aside from that whoever built her was pretty good with the whole attention to detail thing. She was a pretty damn accurate replica of a human right down to the thoughts... Also she may have had a bit of an ego. Every so often the girl would wonder about her creation and her purpose, but in the end she always stopped caring and went to find something fun to do. Finding something fun to do... Thats what she was going to do now!

Walking down the sidewalk, She kept an eye out for anything that may be fun for her. The Ruby Lion maybe? Bah, She couldn't get into a bar... She had no way of proving she was of legal age... And she wasn't. She was comparable to a 19 year old human, but if she had any sort of identification to show the bar she'd only be two years old, mind you she was a rather advanced two year old, but still. Humans didn't seem to be too inclined to let two year olds drink. No, instead she'd just pass up the bar and keep moving, Alcohol wouldn't do much for her anyways.

Blood, Blood. Glorious blood....

Alice Frost (Bad-Girl)

User Image
"Urgh. My head..." Alice stood atop the roof of her apartment. She looked out across the entire city, with a malicious stare. She had only just woken up, and as usual, it was in a pool of blood. Near to her was the mangled corpse of a young man. He had a nice, kind face, that hid a sinister facade. The man had tried to sexually assault Alice. Well, she had the last laugh. After-all, she wasn't the one who's face has been nearly ripped off. She gave a sigh, and lept through the window into the floor below. Her apartment was a mess, as par usual. She found her phone under a pile of old clothes, which had all been stained with blood. She checked her messages. One new message, from someone known only as "X" Like a kiss. It almost made Alice.... smile.

She picked up her baby, her Leviathan, before walking down the stairs. The old couple across the hall gave her a very dirty look, but that's because they didn't like her. And she really didn't like them. But they were on the list. They would killed at some point. Now she didn't have time. She walked into the street, with her casual bloodstained dress, and her weapon in her hand. "X had specified a street nearby..." Alice looked back over the messages. Apparently she was to ask inside 'The Ruby Lion' for her target. She was to show no mercy.

Alice gave a sadistic laugh, as she set off toward where she knew the bar was situated.

"As if I could show any mercy..."

How I love it so...

She hadn't exactly gotten too far from the bar when she decided to stop instead of wandering, A break was needed. Now, She didn't really need rest, she could walk for days without tiring, but the fact was that she just wanted to take some time and watch the city life go by. Sitting around and watching other people go about their business probably seemed boring to most others, but still it held a bit of interest to her. Two years was a long time but things really didn't change much for her, She was still so curious. Leaning back against the wall, She briefly looked back down the sidewalk towards the bar before looking forward again... There would probably be some amusing sights coming out of there later on, drunks and what not.

Her sense of humor was pretty much completely human, she'd laugh at a stumbling drunk up until they went and got themselves in trouble somehow. Bars also had a habit of attracting some less then amusing crowds, people that would get a bit violent, perhaps a bit crazy... Alcohol did that kind of thing. Again turning her attention back to the bar, She began to wonder just what sight she'd see coming from there later on... If she even stuck around, She may be drawn somewhere else to watch things go by. Time would tell what things were in store for her for the rest of the day! She had already gotten into a fight of sorts and showed them how wrong they were for messing with her... Perhaps something else interesting would happen.

Maybe some form of superhuman would come along, either a good guy trying to show off and be respected by the people... Or some bad guy trying to ruin the day and force the people to respect them. She hadn't had too many run ins with the superhuman population of the city, but when she did it was interesting to say the least. She had gotten into a few fights before with superhumans... Some who were trying to harm her or some who had just annoyed her, they weren't anything really tough and it'd be a stretch to call a lot of them superhumans... Some of their powers just really, really sucked.

Thinking back on it, it was kind of embarrassing having to fight a man who had weak psychic powers... Not for her, She had actually just felt bad for him. The man didn't really have much in the way of psychic abilities to begin with and his attempts to use them on her only resulted in confusion on his part... Psychic humans may have been able to read minds and control them, but sadly psychic powers don't seem to be too effective on a hard drive. She continued to let her mind wander now as she blankly watched the people of the city go about their business around her.

Jason laughed with the now quite tipsy students over in the back corner as he delivered another pitcher to them. Tonight was a good night. The bar was usually quieter on a mid-week night like this. Perhaps the students had just finished a particularly hard assignment the day. Of course none no them seemed to know what to do with the drink.
Americans...it seemed so silly to introduce people to alcohol when they are older than 21. It seemed almost dangerous to not allow it to be intergraded into people’s lives slowly from the age of 18. But what could you do. He was living there now, so he had to follow their rules.

He always gave a huge grin and smile when anyone stepped up to the bar. After all a bar was a place to drink and make friends. The kitchen that was attached to the bar served the usual English Pub dinners up until 11pm. With classics like 'steak and kidney pie', and 'toad in the hole' and a desert like a 'spotted d**k' to finish on. After all a pub was always supposed to be a friendly place. Or so Jason had grown up to learn.

Jason handed over another pitcher of cold beer. They always liked it cold here. Even when it snowed they would still have a cold beer. Jason eyed the students. There new discovery of the drink was causes them all to go overboard too quickly. Jason didn't like the idea that he was going to have to clean vomit off his toilet seats in the wee hours of the morning.

It would get worse if one of them was a violent drunk.
Not that Jason couldn't hold his own in a fight. His replacement arm, legs and heart had in the end greatly increased his strength and endurance, which was rather helpful for energy draining bar fights. But Jason didn't so much like the police picking too much. He had no problem with them for the simple things, but he always wondered if one of them would show up and realise that he wasn't exactly who he said he was.

The student was back for more and Jason just looked at him. He was swaying. "Cutting you off, sorry. I'd get in trouble if I keep serving you blokes drinks" Jason said with his smile as his weapon. If one kept cheerful a drunk would be less likely to get angry.

"Oh...But it’s still so early"
the student responded. It appeared that this bloke was taking the news well.

"Well," Jason said with another flippant grin "You could try down a block. I heard 'Bern’s' is a bit less strict in his limits than I am" he told the student, who nodded and staggered away to tell his mates. They were out the door in only a couple of minutes. Jason wondered if they'd be back another day.

He surveyed the room with a gaze. It was a lot quieter now the students had left. The blonde and Ray had both left and now the only people in the mahogany and red velvet pub was a middle aged couple in one of the booths, three aged men watching the lawn bowls intently. A studious looking young woman who seemed to have a taste for cider, and a strange man sitting in the corner with his hands wrapped around a cheap beer and a steak sandwich.

Jason did enjoy seeing what sort of people came to his bar.
A shot rang through the air.

"s**t,"

A young woman knelt down as she put her gloved hand on the side of the man's neck. Trying to feel for a heartbeat. He was still warm, the gun in his hand still smoking, but there was no heartbeat as the puddle of blood grew larger under the man's head. She was just a second too late. Naomi, out of morbid curiosity, glanced over at the head wound. She shivered and got up. She was not a ballistic expert, but she could tell that he shot himself at close range. "May God be with you," she muttered as she crossed herself and looked away.

She got up and took off the gloves, burning them in a quick flash of fire sprouting from her hands. The smell of burnt rubber wafted for a moment before a harsh gust of mid-august wind dispelled it. Naomi shivered, pulling her purple jack closer to her, pushing her auburn bangs out of face. She took step back, amber eyes peering around the dark alley. The streets were quiet at this time at night in the industrial district. The only noises were from the faint rustling of trees from the small park across the street. Naomi took another step back as she scanned the area once more. She was not here for the man that shot half his face off. No. She was here for the culprit.

“Okay,” She muttered as she took a deep breath, scanning the blood scene again, “Come out, I know you’re here,” She whispered to the air.

Naomi’s soft voice was only greeted to silence. She sighed the witch knew it was here, the air was charged with its electricity. It was the heaviness in the air, the slight chill she felt when she stepped into the alleyway. The thing was still lingering, still feeding off the poor man’s residue energy. Naomi sneered, a disgusting parasite, perfect for the Corporation.

“All right, come out the hard way,” she muttered as she took out a piece of paper, “I have no issue with this,” She chuckled as she snapped her fingers a small flame appearing on her fingertips.

She lit the paper on fire, a blue smoke wavering in the cold air due to the ink used. The symbol, an intricate pattern of blue ink swirled into circle, glowed a bright white as the paper burned. Naomi let the paper fall, the fire consuming it as it slowly fluttered to the ground. When the paper hit the ground the circle grew, expanding off the paper and covering the entire alleyway. The thin blue smoke, now lingering with in the outer lines of the circle, gave Naomi the chance to see what she couldn’t see before.

There! The outline of the spectral parasite that has driven the dead man before her to madness and suicide lingered over the man. The parasite came more into focus, it was a grey humanoid figure, a slit of red for signifying where the eyes and mouth was. On its forehead, a familiar blood red symbol, the symbol that the Chaos Corporation uses. “Lets get this done with, we don’t have much time,” She growled, the circle protecting the fight from any unwanted eyes.
Naomi pulled a small knife from her pocket. With a flick of her wrist the blade extended to a sword, way to go modern technology.

The red slit that signified its mouth opened wide, letting out a high-pitched scream that nauseated the witch. Throwing Naomi off balance as the urge to vomit rose within her body, it was in this moment of weakness that the creature attacked, charging right at the witch with its shadowy claws extended. Naomi raised her sword just in time, pivoting to avoid the attack. The ghost doubled back, striking once more and putting Naomi further on defense.
