Okay, favorite character? Let's do this.

Princess Bubblegum has to be one of my favorites for obvious reasons (no, not because she's "Finn's love interest"). This girl is unlike any ruler you'll ever meet. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't even care if her subjects didn't use her title--I mean, she's already called Peebles, Poibles, PB. She's so laid back about her position yet she obviously cares a lot about her people. She's a compassionate ruler. Remember in Princess Cookie? She took time out of her princessy duties to play with the kids. One thing I really love about her is how she portrays herself as a scientist. She's smart, yes, but it's also one of her flaws. Notice how her experiments often go wrong? Sometimes with the help of other people, but most of the time her experiments fail only by her doing. It often makes me wonder if she's trying to show she's more than just a princess, or if she doesn't realize that she's not a complete brainiac.
I also like that she isn't afraid to get nasty. If you double cross her, she's not afraid to take matters into her own hands. She will cut you, man. And that's admirable in a princess character.
