The man pulled his gun out, and without thought, Tessa had her PS90 trained on his chest. She had to use a lot of will to resist the instinct to fire, more so whenever he put a round into the vehicle. "You dumb ******** s**t!" Tessa screamed, marching towards him. She wasn't angry, no. Her tone almost dripped with a sarcastic venom. Whenever she got close to him, she hesitated. Sure, she heard his questions, but she also heard her techy telling her things. Tessa quickly looked up, spotting the drone(Not an easy task), and aimed at it. It was a thing with Snipers, they didn't like drones. They didn't like anything that could see them. Or watch them. Or stalk them. It was a thing. Tessa sighed, looking back down at the man. "Military. The name is Tessa, you can call me hero, savior, or Jesus Christ."
Tessa did not have perfect hearing, but she did have nigh on incredible eye sight. From across the parking garage's top tier, Tessa saw the hand of a reaver as it climbed its merry little a** up. She dropped to a knee, aimed in, and fired one round into the thing's head before it even got its neck above the railing. Tessa turned, checking her a**, and saw two coming up the ramp, and another climbing up from the side. Tessa noticed a 'sploder behind the two coming up the ramp. As she lined up her shot, she said, her mic turned on, "A man wearing Ceram-Wrap pants walks into a Psych's office. The Psych says, don't say anything, I can clearly see you're nuts."And with that, she fired one round into the 'sploder's stomach, which ruptured and exploded in a loud boom. The shrapnel in it killed the three reavers, and cleared the path to the fire escape. Tessa briefly turned to the man, "Follow, or die."
With that, the scout hauled a**. She vaulted the rail of the parking garage, gracefully slamming against and snapping off the rail of the fire escape. The jump was not far, though the two story fall could be quite damaging. Tessa knew the man could make the jump, if he ran at it, so she wasted no time waiting. Either the man would follow, or he would stay behind, and die.
Tessa swiftly made her way up the fire escape. As soon as she got to the roof, she saw two reavers beside it... warming themselves? She hoped the drone was still above and watching, seeing that these grey skinned, mindless monsters were sitting by the fire. It was not a mindless wandering like she had always seen, them half-heartedly exploring as they blindly moved to no where. These reavers sat, looking into the fire as if it were their god. It only took them a few moments to notice her, sadly. They both jumped up and charged. Tessa fired two, three shots from the hip, missing. She grabbed the first run to the ladded of the fire escape, and through herself down, using the ladder to keep from falling. She swung 'round, slamming against the brick wall, as the two reavers dived from the rooftop after her, falling and splattering against the concrete of the parking garage, where... A golem was. How did it get there so fast if the only one's the drone had spotted were a mile away? It must have been napping in the garage. It made a loud huff, an acknowledgement that was distinct, and terrifying. It had spotted Tessa, and wanted her.
Tessa climbed back onto the roof, and heard the new update, about the other civilian. "This is just my day." She said to herself. Tessa ran into the greenhouse, and dragged one of the large, very long wooden tables out. She slid it over the gap seperating that building, and the building to the south. She could have jumped it, but doubted the survivor could. SHe hoped he had her a**, because the rooftops were small, and she feared she couldn't kill any reavers that made their way up there. Oh, God, she hoped no Golems, or 'sploders, came with them.
Tessa crossed the bridge, slid over a ventilation unit on the new roof, climbed the wall to get to the connected apartments, which were half a story higher, and then ran to the edge, jumping into the prone position with her PS90 at the ready. She had eyes on the civilian with a loud mouth. She scanned the street. Down the ways, opposite the hospital, two golems. One was farther down, the other making its way out of the garage. They were flanked by the smaller grey bastards, which were slowly pouring out of the buildings, allies, and any other hidey-hole the bastards could find. Tessa fired a shot into one that had spotted, and was charging the girl, then screamed out, "Girl, RUN! Get to the hospital up the street!" The closer golem made it sound again, and Tessa cringed. She knew it was bad to hope it was the girl the golem wanted, but that was all Tessa could hope for. She knew her Barrett might take the beast down, since it was basically a tank, and that's what Barretts were made to kill, but the sound from that thing would bring a corner of the city in to kill her, and her alone.
