Recent ones I've watched that I love are Trigun and Gurren Lagann.

Oh gosh. If you want over the top and hilarious, I'm pretty sure this'll fit your bill smile Dunno if I was just high on mushrooms while watching this, but I was (literally) ROTFLing. Pity it doesn't have an English dub yet; I wanna see how the jokes would be translated.

Um... also, I think it's spelled "Yondemasu yo Azazel-san"...
