Sooooo many times. XDD It can be fun, but it does make me LOL at RL creeping into RP. My characters have gotten sick, dealt with bad weather, had cramps (once when I was playing a dragon, this translated into molting -- said dragon was SUPER PISSY and itchy, I found it hilarious), gotten injured, got new pets, learned new languages, and been introduced to new tech along with me.

The really hilarious part is that few of my characters are really similar to me, so their reactions are generally like 180% different from what my actual reactions to these things were.

Yesss, throwing characters at real-life situations is fun as heck. ESPECIALLY when they're absolutely nothing like you.

It's funnier when I don't do it on purpose, at least to me. I realized a couple of months after my parents' divorce that all the characters I'd made since then had daddy issues of some stripe. I laughed for a LONG time about that.
