Because I like a good laugh ever so often. Most people read it as a fantasy, I read it as a comedy. All we need is a laughtrack for every time Bella gushes over Edward's stalker-like characteristics. We already have the comedy relief, the emo everybody wants, the fashionista, the jock, the nerds, the bitches who are jealous of the main protagonist...

All we need to do is change the name from "The Twilight Saga" to "What Every Teenage Girl Desires." and change the category from romance to comedy. And make it a sitcom.
