Dropping Support for IE7

We are officially dropping support for Internet Explorer 7, which was released in the year 1906. We will continue to support IE8+ for the foreseeable future. IE7 will continue to work as-is, but we won't be addressing new bugs. You still have plenty of time to upgrade to IE8 (free download) or any of the other free browsers. Right now Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are our most popular browsers. Everyone should keep their browsers up to date as this reduces bugs and improves the overall experience!

IE7 is getting about 1.7% of our traffic.

iPhone App bug fixes!

Thank you for all your feedback reporting bugs in the iPhone app!

We released first batch of fixes today:
1) Marketplace store glitch has been fixed: 10 listed items no longer trigger "You do not have a Marketplace Pass" error
2) special characters should no longer be removed from forum posts
3) profile comments should show correctly on all profiles
4) voting in polls should work every time now
5) tipping in forums display correct confirmation
6) login to the old app should work as well

Next update will include fixes to the mobile private messaging.

* NOTE *
We are no longer supporting the old version on our iPhone app, since it is no longer available for download from the App Store. Please update to the new app.

** NOTE **
Today's update does not require a download from the App Store, all changes were made on our servers and they are already effective on your phone.

OMGPOP Removed

Due to changes in ownership over at OMGPOP (now owned by Zynga), our partnership was dissolved and we are required to remove OMGPOP. The links and apps have been removed. Sorry for the inconvenience! All of the other games are unaffected and we will continue to bring you new titles as they become available yum_cupcake .

Hope everyone is enjoying the event! Here are the current stats:

imperial = 3048
revenger = 1409
trickster = 992
rebel = 1052
brony = 967

Please remember this is a one day only event and will be ending tonight at Midnight PDT.

This event contains two items, one for the Star Wars side and one for the Avengers side. There is no item for the Brony team and due to the teams last minute addition to the event, one is not planned to be made.

For details on how to play, check with your fellow Gaian's in the forums!

Once the event has ended I'll re-run the stats and post them over the weekend or on Monday. Have fun and have a great weekend!

Huge code patch
13 lucky code patches just went out to the servers. Please post in Bug Reports if you see anything change for the worse in the last few minutes.

Nothing worth noting in particular as almost all of this patch is for backend fixes (security, performance, new features, two small changes to help Mods/Admins).

Trades are now a little more secure and robust and users that spend 249GC+ in a few more apps will get "Donator" status when they didn't before.

Winners of the May 4th Event
I'm extremely pleased to announce the winners of the May the Fourth event - The Imperials! I knew you fellow Star Wars fans could do it!

We also saw a pretty impressive performance from the latecomer Bronys, who finished second overall. Here are the final standings:

zOMG! Servers Updated

We've pushed two bug fixes:

Stuck in training
Orb counter goes crazy

If you were stuck in training, please try the game again. If you're still stuck at Leon asking for help, PM me the specifics.

The orb counter bug should also fix the issue of people not being able to upgrade their rings with shadow orbs after gathering in DMS.
