Answer this simple question: Why the ******** would I want to spend time watching OTHER people play games, instead of... y'know, playing them myself and actually having fun?

yeah i never understood the appeal of sports games. you can just go outside and do that.

Not to mention get arrested. confused And also, I love watching other people play games, especially horror games and they KNOW they'll get freaked out and scream their heads off, yet they play it anyway. Good comedy right there, really.

@OP: If I was worth a lick of salt at that sort of thing, I'd be willing to give it a try. Not at sports games, though, or FPS.

And I wouldn't get better by playing the games, which, in other words, would be practicing? I must've missed when practice stopped making perfect, and watching other people do stuff made perfect.
I guess next time the Olympics are on, I'll watch those, and become a champion runner.

Sorry, answer failed. I still see no reason why I should bore myself watching a bunch of arrogant fools playing video games and not actually have fun playing them myself.
