Thread, let me tell you about the last few days.
got to work with the new guy at 3am on Friday for the typhoon.
all is good until about 5pm-6pm, then we take a power hit, start running on our backup generator.
A/C is down so comm equipment starts to heat up, and i go to check the A/C unit inside our building. turn it back on, and the exterior door that leads to the room is broken open from the storm.
s**t won't shut so i tie it closed with cat5 cable and my belt.
vault is still hot, so the chiller must be broken, and warm air is getting blown in from the back door to the vault so new guy and me duct tape it up with this plastic cover. still 83 degrees, but it works.
then the building's side entrance and front entrance start to flood, part of the roof of the building gets blown off so tons of leaks.
in the end i was at work from 3am friday until 6pm saturday.
just got back from work an hour ago, because more s**t went down so i was in at 10pm until 6am. prob gotta go back to work at 8am until 4pm, because s**t is still wrecked.
my room got wrecked too. tv, laptop, xbox one and ps4 wrecked as well, but i'm not worried about it. i'll give them a week before i turn them on, and if they don't work i'll just bite the bullet and replace them all at once.
taking leave in july. got 21k saved up, but i'll get set back a bit after replacing my s**t and buying my tickets. such is life.
