I've been trying to think of a story, or at least a little background information about my character here: (based on my avatar)

He's drawn as a chibi, but I'm not sure how old he is, if he were to be drawn regular sized.
I imagine him shota-style, so he might look younger than he is.

He's my "mascot" of sorts of my dA page. xD That's all I know.

Anyway, looking at his picture, what comes to mind about him or a background?
I'm curious.

Anyway, no one can really tell you what kind of story this character belongs in. What it really comes down to is what kind of story you want to tell with him. What comes to your mind when you look at his design?

You may have been wanting to get some ideas and brainstorm with others, but this is an area in the development of any potential stories you create that we are unable to think out for you. If you really want to tell a story, you'll need to come up with one that you will be interested to tell. Anything else would just be other posters' ideas, not yours.

He's your character. You should know him better than anyone else. So tell us about him, rather than asking us to tell you about him.

I'm not much of a writer unfortunately...
I'm just an artist trying to take a crack at writing a little. I had been toying with the idea of making a small, mini comic with him as a character. When I draw original characters though, I just draw, I don't tend to think about a background story. I like to create the character and then develop on him/her later. It might seem strange, maybe inefficient, but that's just how my mind works. I don't know this character yet, because I've only drawn him.

I was just curious if anyone would be interested in glancing or reading a mini-comic with this character, based on looks alone. And, basing him on looks alone, what does the reader immediately think of when looking at his character?

I just want to know what the reader's first impression of his character is, without any personality/backstory made yet.

Maybe I got the wrong forum.

NO, i just posted that to be funny....(sarcasm hand is raised very high into the air) seriously, dude, as if the siggy didn't give it away, i do know quite a few things about yaoi/shounen ai/shota

Yeah, he definitely looks like a yaoi or shonen ai character to me. I could imagine him being in a different type of story if he were wearing pants. His lack of them gives him this "male stripper" vibe.

Oh, grow up! its just a funny little quip about how all ukes in shota mangas look like that little guy: bright eyes and very adorable. i wasn't insinuating anything about having sex with the fella

But yaoi is typically sexually graphic. Adding that to the word 'shota' and people assuming you might mean kiddie porn isn't exactly far-fetched. :/
