ββ Cornelious is actually quite polite and charming, when he is not being a prankster. He has always been quite the gentleman, having quite...human, qualities. But when he is not holding the door open for someone, he is quite mischievous, confusing others and playing pranks just for fun. He also has a habit of getting quite embarrassed, especially when he accidentally acts a little 'too' human around the community. But no one understands why, adding to his enigma. He can be quite malicious when provoked, but otherwise, it is all in good fun. But when there is something he needs to keep hidden, he will become more reserved, not wanting a living soul to find out his secrets. If it ever comes to that, his personality takes a total turn and he will act more like a ghost than anything: creepy, mysterious, and ready to do what it takes to keep you from finding out what you don't need to know.
ββ I was not born a pokemon. I was not hatched from an egg. I was born human, that's right, human. I had a human family, human friends, and was living a human life as a pokemon trainer. I came from a rich family, cliche, right? Wrong.
My family was a mess. Always fighting over who got their cut of the money, always angry. It forced me to become more reserved around them, but I opened up around people I trusted. This caused trouble, apparently, since I decided to never leave my room. The screaming and anger was too much for me, and I couldn't take it anymore.
My pokemon journey was going great when I left. I had gotten a few badges, made plenty of friends to travel with. Everything was perfect for me. No more screaming, no more parents having high expectations for me. Nothing could've gone wrong for any of us at this point; we were doing too well and had each other's backs. That is until, we had to stay in an abandoned house when it was raining one night.
I had made myself comfortable in my room, tired and ready to go to sleep, but little did I know that an unwelcome guest had made its way in behind me. A Gengar had followed me in through my shadow, and scared the living daylights out of me. I snapped. I spewed curses, not saying very nice things to the Pokemon who just wanted to play a simple prank. But this made that Gengar very angry and more malicious than anything. It waved its arms in the air and literally cursed me. The effects? I became a Gengar. Long story short, my friends couldn't tell it was me and I was forced to stay with my new ghost family while my friends left, having no other choice.
I was a Gengar for years. At first I hated it, longer to become human. I loathed the fact that I was a pokemon. I preferred to go back to my dysfunctional family in my nice cozy manor, not a cave. But soon enough I sucked it up, becoming more accustomed to the ways of ghost-types, playing pranks and scaring people. It was actually pretty fun, and I enjoyed it. But little did I know, there wa still that part of me that longed to be human again.
One night as we left our cave, humans showed up. All the other Pokemon scurried, but me, I stood there in shock, and I was immediately snatched up, and knocked out with some sort of gas. And that was that.
I was unconscious for two days. When I eventually did open my eyes, I was in a test tube full of fluid, and I felt...different. I could not ponder too much on it, though, because as soon as the people could tell I was awake, they inserted something into the tube and knocked me back out.
The next day, I was free. From that test tube anyway. I looked at myself. Flesh. Human flesh, and it was really mine. I was ecstatic. I was human again. But then...I looked around the room, and my celebration was cut short. Other people were free too, but they looked less than satisfied. At this point, I realized. Pokemon were being turned human. Natural-born Pokemon, who had no idea what being human was like. I gasped a bit. I was born human. I wanted this, but...then I realized what sadistic things they had done to my body. I had scars on the back of my hands from trying to resist.
I had no choice but to put on an act, pretending that I had never been human before in my life. It was rough at first, being this...thing, they call a mix breed. But being more human again than anything and having the powers I had as a Gengar wasn't that bad. But I realized. I had a secret to keep. I couldn't let anyone know who I really was. But...these experiments had to be stopped. This was sick, wrong. And I decided it would be best for me to help. I kept especially quiet about my past, yet everyone kept asking me, wanting to know. This dubbed me the 'mysterious one'. I found it fitting, and don't mind being called that at all.
Now I am one of the six who are especially prepared for this revolution. We will take a stand, and we will fight. I vowed that as long as there was flesh on my bones, I would find a way to stop EVO. The community will stand together thanks to us and fight.
