To me, homework should help you study and understand the subject the teacher is trying to teach you. it shouldn't count for most of your grade, to me at least.

It's supposed to help you learn and it's supposed to be good material to study from before tests.

Other than for math class, I find it pretty pointless. I always rush through it quickly and I don't remember what the hell I wrote down. -_-

because if they didn't give you homework, you'd have to finish everything in class
so either you won't have time and you'll get a failing grade
or you get another 2 hours of school.

.....wat.
Why would you fail for not having to do excess work... and why would you have to be in school later to do less work?
The homework wouldn't have to become schoolwork.
Most of it is just "We did this in class, do this so you can make sure you understand."

I know getting homework sucks. =/ You get it to not forget what you learned in class..And it's just a review of everything you had learned.

Other than practicing and gaining knowledge, the whole purpose is "exercising" your fingers and hands, which I dont see it as a good thing biggrin
