I'm kind of assuming it was planned months ago when the game was still fairly popular.

Also the cover art is so juvenile it actually makes me vaguely embarrassed to look at it >.>

I don't really care for Monster Galaxy myself, but there was a fair amount at Fanime who were quite excited about the manga.

because people are stupid. And there are people who will fawn over anything even remotely related to something they like. So if they like Gaia, they'll like anything Gaia touches.

I certainly see it in plenty of the fandoms I semi-follow because I like the thing. So I'm sure it's no different here.

It's a bit sad looking, made worse because for all it's faults, Monster Galaxy is very pretty.

I think people's excitement mainly came from the fact DJ Helsing picked three people from the audience to read over a couple pages out loud. One for the narration part, and two for the characters.

I must say it was amusing to listen to.
