Well said! But people seem not to understand....it's not about just believing in Him. That's never enough....that's like saying, "Yeah, my parents are alive, but I choose not to talk to them, or interact with them in any way"! It's about loving Him. God want our love, willingly, with no reservations. He wants us to be able to display love for our fellow humans, no matter what the state of their body or soul....
This is hard for people to grasp....and when people say they believe God exists, but choose not to follow Him, it feels to me like it's for convenience purposes only. It's saddening.
Oh! And when Christians tell you you might go to Hell, it's SUPPOSED to be a service of love (I realize many "christians" misuse this statement as a thread....). The less souls in Hell the better. To believe and love God, you don't need to be in a communion. Most of worship is on an individual basis, because relationships are personal.
I don't HAVE to warn them. I feel COMPELLED to warn them. Again, it's a choice that I have made.
What defines evil....that's an ambiguous question. Lets see....there are minor evils enacted every day and people don't usually think about, like sloth, gluttony, lust, belligerence, blasphemy, fornication, self indulgence, and general ill-will towards our fellow man. These build up, you see. They make life miserable for you, and other people. I'm not saying Christians are perfect. We seek perfection, but not one of us is even close. We make mistakes, we sin, we commit evils, we are tempted. These are reminders we are humans and that we can't get through this on our own. So we ask God for help, guidance, and love, and we give love in return.
Shoplifting is stealing. When you steal, you are taking something without permission, taking away someone's livelihood, taking away from the economy, withdrawing money from people who may need it down the financial road.
Now, there is a huge moral dilemma when talking about stealing and starvation. We are human, and we have a resilient drive to live, and ensure our families survive. In America, there are shelters for the homeless and the starving which serves food to the needy. In the poorer countries, this may not be the case. It's up to humans to decide whether to steal or not. If they feel that it's justified, they'll take the food. If they feel it is deathly wrong, they would rather die than steal the food. Do you understand? Nothing can be only Black and White in this world! There are varying shades of gray as well.
I am borderline anorexic.
I guess I'm not committing much gluttony, I would guess. =D
I sleep less then 7 hours a day, so no sloth for me. x3
I'm a virgin, though I hope that I'll lose it to a nice girlfriend. No lust yet, but I suppose it will be fun when it comes. ;3
I'm often passive-aggressive, but not aggressive. No belligerence, huh?
Again, no fornication yet. Masturbation doesn't count as fornication, I'm sure. Of course, I'm at the underripe age of fourteen.
I have one thousand dollars saved up. I don't spend much money on myself. Whoo, not really indulging in myself!

Oh, s**t. Blasphemy, right? I guess I'll be sent to suffer for eternity by a loving deity that lets starvation run rampant, along with sexual diseases, sorrow, and hate.
And you aren't allowed to steal anywhere, sweetheart. Even if you are poor. The ten commandments say it. The bible says it.
I guess they deserve to die of starvation.

Enstein also came out of the Physics boom of the early through mid 1900's. Brilliant yes he was, I mean who could of thought up an equasion so simple as Energy=Change in Mass times the speed of light in a vacum squared.

I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate place to explain, but I'll keep it short, e=mc^2 came from E=hv... the quantum hypothesis, Planck's equation. At this time, there was a weird thing called the photoelectric effect, where if light of certain wavelengths strike the surface of certain metals, electrons are emitted. Electron emission depends on the frequency, however the number of electrons depends on the intensity. The kinetic energies of the electrons also depends on the frequency.
Using this, Einstein hypothesized that electromagnetic radiation behaved like particles, which behaved according to Planck's hypothesis. To save you the math, Einstein essentially proved that the quantum hypothesis was right, and from that we can subsequently determine that E=m*c^2 according to kinetic energy formulas. However, e=mc^2 wasn't the big leap, it was figuring out how to relate Planck's hypothesis to something completely different. (Or at least, they thought it was completely different at the time)
... And that's just what he did for the world of Quantum Physics, lets not forget that he also was the founder of the Theory of Special Relativity and the Theory of General Relativity. IE, he came up with the idea that time and space are linked. That's just the tip of the iceberg... I really recommend you read more about him, because the man was brilliant beyond belief, it's just sad he couldn't accept that the two theories worked so well, but one was random, and the other wasn't.

God does not let starvation run rampant we have done that with our excess. Please study the culture during the time of outbreaks of sexual ilnesses. this latest one happened due to the sex rave of the 60's and the most recent one is today, and guess what STDs are on the rise. So its something that most of us have don to ourselves.

Proof God is not all-loving- Hell, If you don't follow him, You are set to prison, or a never ending concentration camp. God is like a dirty little communist or Nazi. And There is a story in the bible saying that When Jonas had stray from God, God became Angry. And God sent a fish to eat him. That doesn't sound loving.
Proof God is not all Powerful- If God is all-powerful, He would have smite us a few seconds ago. Or show somehow that he exist, Like the story of Moses and the slaves with the snake and staff. And he isn't powerful enough to smite evil. Surely, a anti-evil god will obliterate evil. If He couldn't, He isn't all powerful then.

It is a disgusting thing when you choose not to take within what God has done for you.He gave us His Son that we might be clean of the unrighteous sin we`ve beheld in our lives.And God had to suffer as well as His Son for there,on the cross He had to watch while His Son was beaten and cursed at when all His Son wanted was for us to have a choice.
Now heres what really hit me. I`d be going to hell and burn into an everlasting fire.And I`d deserve it.But His Son Died!! How would you feel if you knew someone who had to give up there child for unworthy,dirty people who wont even bother with him.So youve heard what I gotta say.And if youre going to say something mean or rude..dont even bother then..

If God created everything, where did God come from?
Organized religion is responsible for more wars fought and blood shed than anything else. It's entirely an 'us' and 'them' mentality.
Why is Christianity right and every other religion wrong? Take the Asian religions, very culturally rooted. Are they all going to Hell? Who's right and who's wrong? Their religion is just as much 'right' and has just as much validity as Christianity.
Furthermore, the world isn't so clearly delineated black/white, good/evil, right/wrong. There's a whole lot of grey area and the big picture needs to be viewed.
Say you're housing a family in your attic that a militia is looking for. They ask you if you know where this family is. What do you say? Yes, they're upstairs and then see them all killed? Or lie and say no, you haven't seen them?
What is right and what is wrong? In the big picture, lying would be the right thing to do to spare the families' lives. But that is a sin, is it not?

Why? Why do you deserve it? I personally am against the fact that just because you exist, you are a sinner. You have done nothing wrong. Even if Adam and Eve existed, people shouldn't be punished for something that they didn't do, but that's exactly what this does.

Soooooo.....you're saying you CAN'T stop making bad choices? Ok, so say I was a shoplifter. I was quite young, and didn't know the ultimate consequences of what I was doing, but I still knew it was wrong. I did it quite often. It became a part of who I was. Then someone who caught me shoplifting one day decided to confront me. She said that what I was doing could land me in jail. If she did not care about my well-being, she would not have confronted me and pointed out the consequences. Now, I have two choices: either I stop, and avoid jail-time, or I continue shoplifting with the looming possibility of getting thrown in jail.

Now I know he did alot more than that, I just used that as an example, becuase when most people think of him they think of that equasion. Now I am familier with general relitivity, but not special relativity.
And that's why I believe he's more brilliant, or at least certainly more innovative than Hawking. I would say Hawking has been known to be wrong... but meh, so has Einstein... (There still is no unified theory... String Theory is a mathematical theory, not yet a scientific theory, it has no empirical evidence) Hawking, by the way, in case you didn't know was wrong about a black hole being a singularity ^^; He now is pretty convinced it isn't, though for a long while believed strongly, and argued strongly, that it was...
Anyway, Special Relativity is what really deals with the whole idea of reference. There's a famous quote talking about "When you're talking to a hot girl, an hour feels like a second, when you've got your hand on a hot stove, a second feels like an hour, THATS relativity"
... It's also the theory where e=mc^2 actually does have a practical macro-application ^^; While true and provable, it's under special relativity where you can cite matter being converted into energy... IE, atom bomb.
General Relativity is, as the name implies, more general, it simply encompasses Special Relativity as well as some other scientific theories, it's the one that more or less links space time... this was, also, published AFTER special relativity ^^;
... I can read about them all I like, but with my current knowledge of Physics, I still can't really understand it... it's amazing just how much those theories revolutionize current physics, it makes Newtonian physics seem very, very, very, very, very, very, very etc. tame.

Do you guys EVER shut up? we've had countless debates about religion that have evolved from such threads as this, but you guys manage to keep going. Honestly, I've never heard ONE Jew, ONE satanist, ONE Muslim make threads about what they believe in the ED, not ONE; okay, fine I'm exaggerating, but, my point: they rarely do, and when they do, they don't say, "I don't care about your opinion", and are a little more light-hearted. I know I'm generalizing, I've seen a few good Christians out there, but geez.....

i posted this for discussion yes but not to be ridiculed.Other religions are wrong because..okay Jesus(Gods Son) died,rose three days later to join His Father in Heaven.Did any other gods do that? Those gods are going to hell,that,or they never exsisted.We were brought into this world with sin.Adam(who is ALL of our ancestor,including Eve) went against the Lords rule.To not eat the fruit of 1 specific tree.i believe in Him and all the things He has done.

What EXACTLY did He do to you,specifically? Why not be against another god?!How come,if someones a Christian,they`re looked upon as freaks or whatever?
God had to let Jesus die so the promise could be fulfilled.He couldnt just stop the making of the promise to us.And God and Jesus are watching all of us.They know our thoughts..everything!! YOU WANT FACTS?!?! Look in the King James Bible!!Not the NIV. Also, how come there are different versions of the bible..How come they arent changing the Quran? HUH?Because people know Christians have something..so they change everything..
AND people call catholics CHRISTIANS when they arent..Catholics believe that you can still sin after youre saved..you cant it`ll just be against you in Heaven if youre saved.You wont get a crown(s) for the good things youve done..unless you have done good things.
Im going to tell you all who dont believe in God or Jesus..you are going to hell forever..and you will burn and when you cry out and ask to get out of the burning flames..you wont be able to say that no one warned you.you like it now just wait to see how much youre going to hate it when you get there.
