Awesome, Basara 3! whee

Not awesome, PS3. gonk But I suppose it was inevitable.

I'm not so certain what the years being crossed off means unless there were significant events in those years. 1600 also eludes me. But that isn't hard to lose track of time in the Basara series considering all the time warping going on anyway. (Keiji, anyone? xd )

As for the silhouettes I see we have another pugilist and someone who could be Sasaki Kojiro, who was Musashi's most famous opponent. The only thing that comes to mind with the unarmed guy is a character inspired by Mutsu Enmei Ryu: Shura no Toki.

My bet is Ishida Mitsunari to the right and Shima Sakon to the left.

Sure glad that it wasn't a Onimusha crossover, though I do miss the series.

Now people are suddenly thinking we stand a better chance of the games being released here because the anime is licensed now. Haha, I think not. xd Maybe for Basara 3. Capcom was already leery of releasing a game to an aging console (PS2) when Heroes came out (and that was pretty much the only reason it made it to the Wii as well) so why would they go back and rerelease the PS2 games?

There was a character poll quite a while ago that Capcom may base the new characters off of. Here are some of the top results:

I suppose the kid has to grow up and get strong some time. Maybe be less of a mecha fanboy? And became a Tokugawa fanboy, since he appears to be punching rather than using his spear! Though that's not necessarily the reason, I can imagine him latching onto that concept because it's cool~
