Welcome to the now official thread for the STT crew. We are a small group of authors who make comics for your laughter. I am your host, Tiny Tim. Yes, the same Tiny Tim from the Christmas Carol. Or close enough. No, I am not tiptoeing through the tulips.

Save Tiny Tim started when the great master of comics (GinoLeTV otherwise known as Dios de Television) was being generously hosted on donutpie.net. Unfortunately, due to bad communication between the creator and the new owner of DP, the site ended forcing the other 6 comics to find other hosting sites. Some just died on the spot. GinoLeTV created his own werbsite, STT, and hosts comics. Though most are based on GaiaOnline, it does not mean other comic types aren't allowed. And please, don't point out the fact that other than Gino and Ixis, all the other authors are girls. They were all fans of Gino's original comic and there is no sex discrimination here.

The posts below are basically a billboard for the comics hosted on Save Tiny Tim. They are in no particular order. If you wish to join, host (temp.) your comic/manga on Imageshack.us or photobucket.com and send the image links to Dios de Television. A minimum of 10 comics or pages are required, unless you can WOW me in less (but very unlikely). Handling the script is something you do not have to worry about. DiosDeTv will take care of that and Crystoll will take care of Diosdetv's procastination.

Recap time! Once upon a time a scientist, who had nothing better to do between curing cancer and causing it, decided to bring back to life one of life's grandest sick boy. Tiny Tim. Except to cure his life threatening disease the doctor injected some Tuna DNA and now Tim's skin is horrific. Last year Tiny Tim was created as a Water Meat. This year he shall live the story of Its a Wonderful Life. With a twist. It's all done in Sims 2! How is that a twist? Because.

Naomi. Awesome person, and author of Naomi's Blog. Course, it's not really a blog, but a really awesome comic, detailing everything I like complaining about. With me, my sister, her gray and fuzzy cat, and my pug, we make one really kick a** comic. So come read it. You'll probably bust your gut by laughing too hard.

NOTE: Naomi does not approve of gut busting.

How to Make a Gaia Based Comic:

There are many types of Gaia comics. Well, two that I know of--but that doesn't mean you shouldn't create your own style. First off, I'm going to put this in the thread and maybe later, dedicate a page on the website if it becomes too much information. O: YAY FOR INFORMATION! Lets start with the basics: Gaia comics are for those of you with little or no artist drawing or for those of you who are scanner-handicapped. For the longest time, I fell under both categories. Now I have access to a scanner but my talent is now in Gaia Sprite Comics; the technical term. To start you will need Microsoft Paint, MS Paint, or Paint. Its all the same program.

Something you should know: This is a tutorial for Gaia Comics, not TekTek Comics. TekTek Comics suffer from stiffness and are easier to spot than a single in a stripper bar. All avatars have their arms straight down and their only movement is "look left" and "look right". Yes, you will need to spend gold on your comic. I do, and trust me: Questing sucks when you're an author. In the next post, I show you with images how to make a Gaia/Tek Comic. O: Second to Cheapest option after TekTek Comic.

Save Gold: Fake in Items!
Below we have two images. You want to show Character A with Expensive ItdTakeMonthsToGetItem B. As of this writing the G Corp shirt is 89K! Expensive, especially if your character is a one time bit thing. Sure, you can show them stiffly with tektek, but quality goes down faster than a lead balloon which was not constructed by Mythbusters*. So lets compromise! Real avatar equipped with real items and one fake item.

On the left (Fig 1.1) we have ordinary Gaian. She's poor and needs an expensive shirt.* So we need to make her with a shirt like with the half naked avatar. First we need to head to one of two sites. Tektek.org or gavsim.net -- the only difference is that Tektek is more famous, but GAvSim came first. GAvSim is more accurate with layering than TekTek though it doesn't have EVERY item. Go to one of them and make your fake avatar and place the desired item on it. Since we're taking advantage that we can move arms, we'll have to separate the bent part of the arm from the rest of the avatar, as shown right of the dashed line.

Now that you've separated the arm, its time to fake in an item. I do it all the time. Now, in the example below, you'll see the avatar has a mouth? Why, class? That's right. So that you'll have a point of reference. Since the mouth is the same, you can crop it out with the shirt and place one mouth over the other. Everything else naturally lines up! By the way, in the middle step below, I say to copy the image yet the tektek avatar has a huge hole; this is to show what's been changed. And not me messing up. Yup.

Congratulations! You've just saved yourself thousands of gold. This method can be used for pants, hats, gloves, and even shadows! Shadows are tricky, since the username overlaps the shadow, you're left with an imperfect circle... something you can easily spot in most of my Gaia Comics.

*They made a balloon made of lead float.
*Ignoring the fact rystal's worth millions.

Want to know more? Well I'm happy to tell you how! Post asking how and I'll make a short tutorial on how--I'd do it now but I have no clue what you want to know.

Want to join the Save Tiny Tim crew? Send a private message to the STT mule (me) with links to your comic. Webspace is practically guaranteed on STT as long as you make me laugh. There is also a new program which not even the other authors have been told about yet. Any new webcomic must be approved by the majority of other STT authors.

Are you updating your comic in your Gaia Journal? So did some of the STT authors and they moved to a much better place. A website and it allowed for better navigation through the comics. Afraid that you don't know HTML? GinoLeTV does all the coding for you. So if you have a comic, why not join?
