i need some suggestions for really good manga... put the name of the manga and what kind it is...is it gory,does it have a good story line....stuff like that. any help will be greatly appreciated

I'd second Air Gear. It's a wonderful Manga, one of the better ones I've read in a while.
If you haven't read Death Note, I'd suggest that. That's a Drama/suspense sort of Manga, and I personally think the art is fantastic.
I read a strange, Fantasy Manga called Shutterbox, and although I'm not usually into the slightly gothic tone it has, the story was very intricate and original.

If you are a Naruto fan, then check out this manga called 666 Satan or in its American release name, O-Parts Hunter. 666 Satan's mangaka is Seishi Kishimoto, the twin brother to Masashi Kishimoto the mangaka to Naruto. You will see some similarities between the two, but there are some parts that different from one another.

DeathNote - mystery, horror, sucky ending
Red River - shojo, girl transported to the past, really good
Yu Yu Hakusho - shonen, action, fighting, good drawing
From Far Away - shojo, girl transported to another world, really good, recommend
Vampire Game - shojo?, if you like happy most of the time vamp stories you'll like it
Happy Hustle High - shojo/comedy, really funny, highly recommend
Full Metal Panic! Overload - shonen, losts of explosions, funny
Kare First Love - shojo, 10 volumes long, great if you like first love stories

Um....

Rurouni Kenshin: action, romance, overteetop bad guys.
xxxHOLiC: Mystery, Supernatural tale with some major comedy (done by CLAMP, so the story is EXCELENT)
Tsubasa: ^_^ CLAMP
Yu Yu Hakusho: Supernatural, Action
Immortal Rain: Action, suburb storyline, romance, some gore scenes
Eureka7: I prefer the anime, but the manga's good too!
DeathNote: Absotively wondermous

One Piece!!! I have yet to read all of the mangas, but so far I love it! It's about a pirate who obtains the ability to stretch like rubber, at the cost of being able to swim. He is very brave and not so intelegent. His goal is to become the king of the pirates.
