Welcome to Gaia! ::

It had been a long while since the angel had visited touched the mainland. All was quiet and in order up in Olympia, so it was the proper time to visit if at any time. Drifting down from the clouds Kudo touched land, not far from Lilith and her temple. Perhaps while he was out he could pay her a visit. But first, a nice quiet walk was in order. Treading through the woods he found that all was quite peaceful this night. Perhaps a little too peaceful? No matter. If nothing was out of place this night then perhaps there was nothing to worry about. Relaxed and wrapped in a warm scarf, Kudo walked down the trail towards Liliths while humming slightly to himself.
Shou flew through the trees with ease, practicing her stealth and speed. She could see a figure in the distance, walking along the trail that was normally taken to go to her friend Liliths. As she approached closer, she saw the being known as Kudo, who seemed to be deep within his own thoughts. A sly grin grew on the Drakes face, and she wondered if Kudo was still as good the day he became Captain of the Royal Guards for Riley. She let out a slight laugh before jumping past him, a gush of wind following behind her. She watched as the blue scarf the ninja was carrying blow into the wind, flying through the air and right into her hands. She held it up and shook it at him.

"This yours?"
Shou laughed again. "You want it back? Lets see how tough the Captain really is with a quick sparing match."

A flick of her wrist and darkness began to surround her as her scythe appeared in her hands as she took an aggressive stance.
Kudo's eyes narrowed as he slowly pulled his sword from its sheath and holding it to his side. He watched the darkness surround her, as her scythe was pulled from it. It seemed Shou was itching for a fight. The scarf that was now in her hands was important to him, so he was willing to accept her challenge. But he wouldn't do it with any weapons. Raising his sword high, he threw his arm back, making it strike into a tree.

"I accept your challenge, Shou. But this match shall only be fought open fist."

He leapt at her, and what seemed like a flash but merely his speed and the light from his wings he kicked the scythe out of her hands and watched as it stuck into the tree as well.

"Begin."
Shou let out a loud snarl after seeing her scythe get knocked into the tree. If he wanted to fight with no weapons then so be it, but he was going to regret mistreating her weapon. Raising her leg up she gave a powerful kick to his stomach, sending him far back from her. He didn't really seemed to be affected by her kick, but that didn't worry her any. She let out another growl before leaping at him and kicking him back again, and he seemed to be bothered by that strike.

"You should have chosen weapons. My strength and skills arent something to be taken very lightly."

Her silver feathered wings spread wide as she prepared for his attack.
Kudo stood back after her second kick, feeling the power in her strikes. He shook his head and sighed, listening to her confident tone.

"Shou, you underestimate me." He stepped forward and with another flash he brought his fist into her abs, sending her back as well. She seemed not disturbed at all by his strikes as well. But perhaps the two were hiding how they truly felt. But before he could strike again a dark shadow cast over them both, and made a slight howling sound. He looked up, seeing it split in two, one dashing in one direction and the other flying quickly away. He looked at shou, who seemed to understand the importance of investigating who or what that creature was. He could feel a dark energy coming from it, and knew that it was certainly not friendly. Pulling his sword and her scythe out of the tree he tossed it to her, and nodded.

"The next time we see each other, we shall continue our match. But for now we need to see who or what exactly that was."

He turned away, following the other half of what could be a enemy.
Over the land of Darkwood hovered a small spacecraft, quiet and sleek. Low to the ground the pilot found a space to land, surrounded by bush and trees. Out stepped a tall drake, silver haired with black wings. His yellow eyes scanned the area as he walked away from his ship. The air was cold and damp, definitely ready for winter. Snow would be falling soon, he didn't seem to mind that much though since he could usually find a place that was warm. Walking through the forest and finding a small trail, the drake walked along the path that lead him to a rather dark looking manor. He stood outside the gates, seeing small ghostly flames appear around it. He saw a small light in the window, which meant perhaps that someone was home.

It was well past midnight in Darkwood. Most of the residents were asleep, warm in their beds and heads full of dreams. Yet one family was still awake. High up on Hidden Mountain, Genesis was leading the way with her daughter Echo next to her. Nyx was with them as well as the drone. The cold wind blew yet none seemed to be bothered by the chill. In Genesis's arms was her second daughter. Wrapped up in blankets, the little one showed no signs of being affected by the cold. Like her mother, she had icy blue eyes but like her father she had his dark skin tone and ebony hair. Once they had reached the tallest peak, Gen handed the child to Nyx. Looking up at the vast, star filled sky, Genesis put her hands together along with Echo. The two began to create balls of energy in their palms, pure ice energy. Gen's glowing orb was a bright blue while Echo's was green. Once the energy was pure enough and full, they sent the orbs up into the night sky where they transformed into the lovely aurora that danced across the vastness. The blue and green aurora spread across the sky along with the stars and the three full moons became a sight to behold. Gen looked to Echo and the group began to head back down the mountain. Hopefully soon, the little bundle will be able to create her own ice energy and send her own orb up into the sky to usher in the first snow of the season. As they walked down the mountain side, a couple of snowflakes fell here and there.

Evening was upon the valley, a chilly one at that. The young leader of Darkwood stepped out from her mansion to the mailbox out front. Opening it up and finding a handful of letters, Eve took them inside. Many were greetings from leaders of other valleys from around the land. One in particular stood out. It was made of beige paper and had a wax seal. The address read Silverwood Valley. A letter from Adam it seemed! Eve opened it after closing the doors behind her. Turns out, Adam and his crew had found a place to call home, the land of white trees, which they named Silverwood. He gave greetings and explained how they came upon their new home and expressed thanks to Eve and her friends for their hospitality when they first arrived on Trilune.
Eve put the rest of the letters down and set aside the one from Adam. She would write him a reply soon enough. Seems the Council of Valleys was planning another meet of the valley leaders. Eve thought back to the last time she went to one of these. All they valley leaders had shown up, Crestwood, Pine Hill, Celestial, Redridge, Seafair...so many valley leaders. She began to wonder if Adam know of this council and it would be nice if Silverwood was to be added to the rest. With evening arriving and the sun beginning to go down for the night, Eve wondered where her pups were at and where Shou might have gotten off too. Perhaps she should delay supper for a bit in case they were down at the town.
A few moments had passed before Eve would head a few clunks and muffled speaking at the front door. A large thud was heard along with a couple giggles and one voice in particular complaining. The front door swung open and in came Shou and the three pups all dressed warmly gathered into the room. Shou shut the door behind her as Raine and Autumn ran up to Eve with big smiles and showing their mother the shells and rocks they found while going on a hiking trip with their mom. Stara, who was in Shous arms, continued giggling as she chewed on a piece of fruit provided by her mother. Shou smiled as Eve and gave her a light kiss before handing off Stara.

"Hey love. Sorry the kids and I wanted to go exploring. Are we late for dinner?" She asked before going into the kitchen to see that dinner wasnt ready yet. Shou shrugged, not thinking anything of it before just sitting down at the table.

A couple hours had passed and dinner was done with and the pups had been washed up for the night. They now sat down by the huge fire in the living room with their mothers. Laying beside the pups was a large, black wolf named Smoke, adopted in by the pups after finding the wolf as a pup. Each of them was going over the items they collected and trading with each other. Eve and Shou sat on the couch together having some wine while talking about the day, how the store did in sales and everything else that had gone on. Eve also asked Shou about the hiking trick they had taken and she was told how that went.
The pups traded stones, crystals and shells between each other. A tray of snacks sat on the table. Cheeses and meat with some crackers. Eve got up to feed the fire and noticed it was lightly snowing outside. A sure sign that Autumn was on it's way out and Winter was beginning to take over. The family sat and talked for hours by the fire. Mostly with Eve and Shou talking about what they would be doing tomorrow and who would be running the store.
Shou discussed how she had found an airship not too far away from here. She told Eve how there were experiments inside, and other weird things she hadnt seen before. She could hear others in the ship but didnt encounter them as well. She also told Eve about the demon that split in two the other week, when she had an encounter with Kudo. She couldn't find the demon after that, but it seemed to want to get away rather than be followed. She didnt know if it were a potential threat or not, and that Kudo was more concerned than she was.
The pups yawned loudly before looking up at their mothers, knowing it was bed time. The children gathered up all their trinkets and headed upstairs, running into their room and changing into their clothes. Eve and Shou put away the food before heading upstairs to tuck the kids into their beds. Eve made sure the candles were dimly lit while Shou went to the window to make sure everything was secure. No signs of any disturbances showed, so the Drake and Succubus turned to their children and kissed them goodnight. Before shutting the door they gave one last good night and headed to their own bedroom. Before Shou could take her shirt off Eve placed a towel in her hands, since she was a bit sweaty from playing with the kids out in the woods. Shou took her towel and proceeded to the large bath to take a relaxing shower.

A dark night, a cold night. Viper flew through the snow and harsh winds of the sky but her inner flame kept the weather from getting her. The white and black wings were silent against the wind as she reached the borders of Darkwood. Kept safe under her grip was a large sack of gold and golden trinkets. Stolen from a rich and powerful king to the east who was as greedy as they come. After leaving his castle in ruin and up in flames, the drake took his wealth from his dying presence. She loved these raids on wealthy kingdoms and took the gold she stole home with her to the cave she called home with her twin. The massive boulder to her home was pushed to the side and then moved back in front of the entrance to the cave, blocking any from coming inside. She greeted her sister who was sitting in front of a huge cauldron that was boiling with strips of meat, vegetables and spices boiling together. Sitting with her was a young drake, Coatl who was the daughter of Viper. She picked up the child and gave her a big hug. The child smiled and was given a smaller bag of gold. Viper told her sister she would return with her hunger after dumping off the latest batch of gold. In the back of the cave, in another cavern, a massive collection of gold sat. Coins piled high up, sacks of unopened gold, statues of gold, trinkets, staffs and just about anything one could think of sat. All made of gold. Even legendary gold string and threads were set up against the walls or rock. Viper dumped the bag out and sorted the coins and items from each other. Once done, she went back to the main cavern to have some dinner. The three drakes ate the meat soup until nothing was left. Viper told Adder that she would return to the butcher shop on the morrow. This would give her sister a day off or two since Viper's leave to the castle. Now that she was home, she could return to the shop and do her daily sales.

Enduring Lunatic

Another cool night had dawned upon the land of Darkwood, yet despite the cold weather the lakeside town was quite active. Many people were gathering in the plaza, where a large stage had been set up for an impending show. Word had gotten around about a traveling performance and Darkwood's townsfolk were eager to get in on the entertainment. Benches and chairs had been set before the stage and many people took seats, gossiping and sharing concessions as they awaited the show. One young boy and his father sat near the front, the father looking about for his wife. Once the stage music started, everyone had cheered as the curtains on the stage opened, revealing what looked like a human puppet. It was a faceless puppet wearing what looked like a circus master's outfit complete with a top hat and cane. A blue flame appeared on the puppet's head where one of its eyes would be, and it bowed to the watching crowd. It spoke with a soothing, kind voice befitting of a storyteller.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. I thank all of you for joining me on this night.I have traveled across many lands to bring the tales of adventure, legends, tragedies and heroic turmoils. Tonight, I bring to this land the tale of the famed Wolf Prince and his guardians, and their battle against the evil Witch of the Sun. The Wolf Prince and his people were sworn servants of the lovely Lady of the Moon, who has forever blessed them with their vitality, peace and prosperity. The servants of the Moon, the wolves, served as the guardians and peacekeepers of the night, as thanks to the Lady of the Moon for her blessing. By day, the Witch of the Sun brings her hunters to seek out the wolves, who are seen as her sworn enemies and protectors of her rival of the eternal sky."

During his introduction, the puppet storyteller was lifted into the curtains above the stage out of sight, and in his place was a scene of a forest with various puppets depicting wolves and beautiful maidens that represented the Lady of the Moon and the Witch of the Sun.
As this host presented his introduction to the story, the crowd was silent, leaning forward in their seats as they became enraptured in the tale.

"That one looks like mommy..."

The young boy with his father whispered, pointing towards the red-haired puppet that represented the Witch of the Sun. The father patted him on the head and nodded, while still glancing about for his wife and the boy's mother. The puppet storyteller's voice continued.

"It had been long told that the Witch of the Sun and the Lady of the Moon once fought against each other for 100 years, with the Lady of the Moon being ultimately victorious. She did not choose to destroy the Witch immediately, and instead chose to banish the Witch from the sky to take on a mortal form, to teach her a lesson. The Witch, hateful towards the Lady and spiteful for being cast from the sky, sought revenge by creating a cult that worshipped the sun and led hunts against the Moon's most loyal servants, the wolves. These hunts went on for many decades, until at last the Wolf Prince, the Lady's most loyal servant, led his most valiant comrades to find and hunt down the Witch to free his people....."

Deep within a forest, where only a few beams of moonlight had leaked through the overhanging branches and leaves, a group of young men and a red-haired woman ran frantically through the forest. Far behind them, the sound of a group of wolves howling echoed through the forest. This howl carried to the lakeside town, where many of the listeners noticed in awe. To them, they believed it was part of some magic of the show, as before them the puppets that depicted the 'Wolf Prince' and his wolves were dashing through the deep forests, chasing down the fleeing Witch and her hunters.

"The Witch had a great number of hunters at her beck and call, but even she had not anticipated the strength and power of the noble Wolf Prince. Many of her hunters fell to their vengeance, and with a great fear of her life, the Witch and her few remaining hunters sought to escape the forest domain of the wolves. The Wolf Prince would not allow this witch, who had slaughtered many of his loved ones, to escape. They chased their quarry through the night, with their watchful Lady of the Moon guiding their hunt with her brilliant silver gaze. The Witch's time was near!"

One of the men following the red-haired woman had tripped over a root, and the others had only a moment to look before seeing the pack of wolves appear from the darkness of the forest. The fallen man was left to his death of tearing and rending fangs as the others continued their escape. The group continued through the forest, hoping to reach its edge yet it almost seemed like the light of their path, which came from the moonlight, was leading them astray. Another howl came from behind them as the wolf pack drew closer. Two of the four remaining men drew their swords and volunteered to stay back while the two other men and the woman continued onward. Several of the wolves quickly took down the two men while the rest of the pack continued their pursuit. The wolves flanked around the trees on the outside of the moonlit path until they managed to reach an area just ahead of the fleeing group of people.

"Having outsmarted the Witch, the Wolf Prince stared down his prey, yet the Witch of the Sun was not ready to go down without a fight. Her bravest and strongest hunters stood before her, wielding blade and arrow to slay the mighty Wolf Prince. One stray arrow had almost made its target in the beast's heart, yet one of his comrades had dove forth and taken the arrow, saving his prince and honoring the Lady of the Moon. With a howl of grief, the Wolf Prince charged forth with newfound fury and quickly struck down the evil hunters. The Witch, now without her escort, was left to face the justice of the Moon and her servants!"

The two remaining men that had escorted the woman were now lifeless, their throats torn out while the remaining wolves, including one particularly large one, converged on the helpless woman. She cried out for help, but none would hear her in the depths of the woods. The large wolf looked down at its side, seeing one of its dead comrades with an arrow buried in its chest. This sight caused it to growl loudly and glare at the woman with a snarl.

"With vengeance and sorrow in his heart, the Wolf Prince had brought down the fury of the Moon upon the evil Witch!"

The crowd gasped as the wolf puppet had lunged upon the red-haired witch puppet, which immediately burst into flames. As it burned, the wolf puppet lifted its snout to imitate the motion of a wolf howling. This was accompanied by the sound of a distant howl within Shadowfang forest. The crowd applauded, and the puppet storyteller descended upon the stage once more with a bow. The young boy with his father looked about as he clapped.

"I wonder where mommy is......."
It was early morning, fresh snow falling softly on Darkwood as Kudo made his way to Lilith's temple. He had a few surprised for her, some ingredients for tea that he believed she would enjoy... some food for her to try as well... and even a new weapon to try out possibly if she took interest. He was still missing his scarf, which Shou had... He didnt mind too much but he would be seeking her out to take it back from her. Arriving at Liliths, he could tell she was still sleeping so he prepared a warm breakfast for her to enjoy. The tea sat on a few coals to keep its temperature, and while he waited for her to wake up he went out and gathered wood for the fire.

Celsius 5's Husband

Profitable Risk-Taker

The moons of Trilune had blessed Darkwood with another cold night, though the breeze from earlier in the day had died down and made travel more tolerable. Despite the late hour many were still active within the garden home of the Celsius sisters. As they went about their usual nightly routines, Clim had finished preparing for a night's walk to visit Gemini in the old ship they had used to live in. He donned a new royal blue assassin's armor that Celsius herself had made for him. He was impressed with the comfort of the outfit despite it being made to accommodate and endure extended combat. Fur linings made it ideal for cold weather, yet it was well insulated for hotter temperatures as well. Many small pockets and hooks had been sewn into the interior of the coat to allow items such as throwing knives and extra crossbow bolts to be hidden, and a small seam at the side of the coat allowed his carbon knife to be hidden even from pat-downs. The armor used for the greaves and the belt was a special alloy that Cel had used for some of her experimental weapons. It was extremely dense and sturdy, but also lightweight, with these qualities putting even orichalcum crafts to shame. She had used a special solution on the surface of the metallic armor pieces that made them glare-proof, ensuring that light sources from surroundings wouldn't give him away during a contract.

He kept his crystal daggers stored away, instead choosing to break in his newly forged sword 'Cryobrand'. The metal used to forge the weapon was found within a frigid comet that the sisters had found on one of their travels into orbit, and seemed to have an everlasting cold that could freeze rock. Wounds made by the weapon would freeze, making natural healing useless unless the wound was thawed. It would hurt far more than any normal sword wound, and damage to the frozen wound would cause it to shatter, creating a much larger wound from a single swipe. Running his finger along the blade, he still felt its frigid cold that had left some frost on his fingertip. With a nod, he sheathed the weapon at his side and prepared some other minor sundries before heading out. Cel herself wasn't home yet, so he figured his absence wouldn't bother anyone for the time being. Jasper wouldn't join him on the trip, as the small black fox was still mending from the brutal attack of the white lycan. As the moons loomed overhead, Clim made his way towards the western mountains where the old ship wreckage awaited.
