I know I never posted much on this thread but it means the world to me because it spawned the AIM group chats. If it weren't for them, I don't know that I ever would have started chatting with Paul (Sphynx, or Elder to some) one on one. We have now been married for nearly 7 years and are expecting our first child in June. Who knows where I would be now, had none of this happened. So thank you thread and threadlings, for always including me, even when it seemed like I wasn't really there.

I don't know what to say.
I've known most of you longer than anyone I didn't grow up with.
I moved halfway across the country, twice, because of the friends I made here.
I cannot fathom what my life may be like without this group.
I still don't know what to say.

I was born in this thread, grew up here, and exploded out when we started meeting in person. I am wherever we gather, and I will live on.

i can remember my first time on Gaia, i'd been sent here by someone on a band;s message board because i asked about her avatar there. It was a Gaia avatar and I thought it was pretty interesting so i came to check this place out. i never knew what would happen. 11 years ago I came in, with green hair and peasant pants. We had ups and downs, many you reached out to me in my darkest days, and we have had experiences that will be remembered forever.

It's hard to believe this day is here!

Those early Gaia days on this thread paired with our AIM chat rooms are an unforgettable part of my life that led to some of the most wonderful friendships. When I joined Gaia I could never have guessed that decision would have led to so many fun moments both on and off the internet. I still have and cherish all the real mail I received from threadlings, and fondly remember hand writing you all holiday cards. I've lost count of how many of you I've met face to face and had fabulous times with. heart

None of that would have happened without the thread tying us together, so I must say a big thank you to the Wizard!

It is the end of an era.

I think we could do this one. Probably works out to about 5000 per month all in, I'm guessing.

Edit, unless there are bidding wars on islands. People don't do bidding wars on islands, do they?
