I can all be done with simple math, but I think it would be cool if this forum had a guide on how much gold each factory and animals produce.
Please notice I'm not taking the consideration the time to harvest the ingredients, in most of the cases that time becomes doesn't matter much cause you can stock them beforehand or grow them by the time the factory still working. I'm making some approximations too. In the final sum I'm still considering the money to pay for the ingredients though. You can view another guide also here by Akachan-chan!

Equation:
(60 minutes)/(time it takes to produce something)x(selling price) - (60 minutes)/(time it takes to produce something)x(cost of the crops)

Bread Factory 490g/h
This factory will take 2h to pay itself start generating profit

Butter factory 380g/h
This factory will take 3h 12m to pay itself start generating profit

Apple Vinegar 200g/h (only if you have 10 threes, or a lot of stocked apples. With just one this can get low as 20g/h)
This factory will take 7h 30m to pay itself start generating profit

Ketchup 221g/h
This factory will take 8h 6m to pay itself start generating profit

Orange Juice200g/h (this value also can get a lot lower if you don't have enough threes)
This factory will take 11h 20m to pay itself start generating profit

Strawberry Milk 245g/h
This factory will take 10h 12m to pay itself start generating profit

Sausage 226g/h
This factory will take 17h 40m to pay itself start generating profit

Cookie255g/h
This factory will take 23h 30m to pay itself start generating profit

Tofu235g/h
This factory will take 42h 50m to pay itself start generating profit

Popcorn 230g/h
This factory will take 63h to pay itself start generating profit

Olive Oil180g/h (and possibly way less if you don't have many threes)
This factory will take 108h to pay itself start generating profit
(please tell I did the math wrong cause, damn, that's a bad deal)

Chocolate 324g/h
This factory will take 115h to pay itself start generating profit

Yarn 333g/h
This factory will take 120h to pay itself start generating profit

Apple Sauce 441g/h
This factory will take 120h to pay itself start generating profit

Cow180g/h
This animal will take 5h to pay itself start generating profit

Hen120g/h
This animal will take 10h to pay itself start generating profit

Pig210g/h
This animal will take 12h to pay itself start generating profit

Bee125g/h
This animal will take 40h to pay itself start generating profit

Bull260g/h
This animal will take 115h to pay itself start generating profit

Thanks to lovely Elynai!

Please correct me if the math is wrong and feel completely free to post things to add to the guide!

I'd like to comment that I was impressed with the good deal the bread factory is. But probably I couldn't make that much cause it would need constant clicking. Strawberry Milk and Sausage are great deals, I'm considering buying two of each.

And damn, the threes make downright terrible deals, why would anyone purchase them? Eh. The progression on this game is really weird, I mean if good to acquire factories that take long time to produce their stuff cause you can leave the game for a while, but not raising the profits just doesn't make any goddamn sense.

Wow, I'm really unimpressed with the olive oil factory considering how much it cost to buy and the fact that I needed it for a quest.
Anyway thanks for making this guide! It will be very useful especially if it expands and grows with new info.

The quests system kinda sucks sometimes when it forces you to do crappy stuff. Well, at least think those that quest will unlock better ones in the future.

You're welcome! I'll try to update it with every stuff I unlock =D

Hmm, I don't mind so much because olive oil is used in other shops later on in the game. I consider it investment in the future!

Assuming that those later recipes are actually worth anything.... sweatdrop

Ah yes, I didn't consider that at the time. Good point!

Only reason I keep the apple tree is to someday make apple sauce if it serves to be decent once I can see how much it pays out. I got rid of the orange trees and juice factory once I was finished that part of the quest.

Where do we get extra plots to plant crops?

Unfortunately you can't buy plots, you get them sometimes when you level up. If you hover over the happiness metre at the top of the screen, the Farm usage shows how many plots you can have in your farm. Mine says 17/17 right now. So check that and make sure you haven't missed a couple of plots. If you have you can just place any crop on an empty square of ground and it'll place the plot for you, as well as planting the crop. Just mentioning that because it would suck if you missed a few (sometimes you don't get a chance to place them when you level up).

Thanks! That did the trick. I noticed someone else at my level with more plots than I had, so that got me thinking if I'm supposed to have more. XD

I was bored last night and made this spreadsheet, and then realised this would be the perfect place for it
User Image
It's how much gold and experience you can get per 1 crop per hour/minute, basically (although I hope that was obvious enough).
It doesn't take into account picking, planting or watering crops because obviously that would be too difficult to calculate.

Woah! Thanks a lot! Great job! =D
Do you mind if I put it in the first post?

Hm, and in the end, this game doesn't really show much progression as you gain new crops. Napa cabbage is a good deal for the exp, but I find weird how it doesn't improve that much from strawberries that you get earlier in the game.
