I'm a big horror movie fan, so I went to see it (though it was more of a science fiction film). Dren was insanely adorable, but that's all I really have to say about it.

I haven't seen it- I was planning to, but I heard tons of people say it just really sucked, and so I read the synopsis and had some friends tell me about it. It didn't seem like anything I'd particularly like.

I'll probably rent it from Red Box for a buck when it comes out, just to see how closely it matches what one reviewer described it as.

It was not a movie for people that do not know how to look deeper into things.

What it was NOT was a horror film.

I think it was more of a look into the moral implications of our advancing technology. For instance, just because we can do something, doesn't mean we should. What we do with our advancements is dependent on the people in charge of them. I feel like that was the message it was trying to give the viewer.

I went and saw it with my brother, and he completely ruined it for me because he heard "Splice" and immediately thought of something like the Splicers from Bioshock.

Personally, I loved it. But I also loved Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy, so I'm already biased to Guillermo del Toro.

The concept was stupid? I hardly agree. While our current capabilities in the field of genetic splicing were blown WAY out of proportion, I still think the subject matter was quite interesting. I can agree though the acting was mediocre at best.

Splice...was a major disappointment. It wasn't even scary and the plot just dragged on (what little plot there was, that is). Plus it was pretty gross. I didn't go there to watch a porno...Pretty much a monumental waste of time. And money. xp

Yea true the rape part freaked me out and the guy and a monster? Really? Its like ummmmm...The hulk and the little mermaid in my case.
