How would you have done Last Airbender better? who would you have cast what parts from what episodes of book 1 water would you have used ? how long would you have made the movie? what lines from book 1 : water would you have put back in the script?

my sugestions

start with The Boy in the Iceberg,The Avatar Returns,The Southern Air Temple,The Warriors of Kyoshi,The King of Omashu,then doWinter Solstice,The Waterbending Scroll,Jet,The Storm,The Blue Spirit,Bato of the Water Tribe,The Waterbending Master,The Siege of the North. those are the vital chapters to the plot.I can understand not having time for all that but on the other hand LOTR was long some say too long, same with Titanic, but making the movie longer gave them time to do a better movie. I wouldn't want to be put to sleep by a movie that was TOO long but a fewe more minuets to Last Airbender could ahve helped big time.

Regarding actors I don't know who I would have used Im not up on teen actors these days. I do think there should have been more characters, more animals and more Momo.

any how Im not looking for complaints I want to hear if YOU were director what would you have done? what do you think from book 1 is vital to the plot and to the next 2 books? and who do you think could have fit the roles better? and was there a favorite quote you miss hearing said?

The Kyoshi warriors were filmed but cut out at last second.
I would have had more humor to the movie and more connection between the characters. That's what makes the show great.
Even though the show producers supposedly made the names less Asian I would have left them alone and not change them to more Asian names.
Also I would have had Katara use her waterbending for breaking open the iceberg because she was mad at Sokka.

I would have just used 5 episodes, then make everything else fresh. Photocopying everything exactly from the tv show would be boring and seem like nothing more then reenacting the cartoon with very expensive wardrobe budget.

With the sequels, there's so much possibilities in rearranging which episodes to use and ditch, and so many unanswered questions to solve (WHERE IS ZUKO'S MOM?????).

I really hope someone like Peter Jackson Or del Toro would direct instead. Most likely del Toro because every other director is busy, and he recently quit HOBBIT because there were too many idiots involved.

del Toro would make sure great puppets and natural scenes would be used, none of the cheap stuff Shuchajerk would do (i hope he quits entertainment and goes into fast food).

There's only one thing that came good out of all of this: if Shyamalan could make it to hollywood, anybody could. GO future filmmakers of tomorrow, make a better movie than this loser!!!

it would be nice to tie up loos ends in the movie even if we answer one unanswered question.

I just hope they don't change Toph. I wouldn't want her turned in to a weak presence with no good lines, good hygiene, and a back story about going blind in an accident. and I wouldn't want them to remove her trained by badgermoles back story. if they turned her in to a boy I would Lol because its exactly the same mistake made by the Ember island players. but then I would be pissed.

here are some ideas lets have George Lucas direct. He may have made bad star wars prequels but at least he knows how to balance humor and action drama and comedy high and low, he knows how to make good animals and he understands how to do epic heroes journeys against empires and get Frank Oz to puppeteer Momo. Momo felt like an animated effect added as an after thought. he doesn't interact with his environment. he needs to be a puppet.

I am glad Appa was CG, if Appa was a puppet he would have looked like the Luck Dragon from Never Ending story. so Im glad the place wasn't full of claymation animals...but still SOME animals would have been nice. I still like the actors accept for Iroh and Sokka. but I still can't think of who would take there place.

I just spent like 30 minutes writing a whole speal of why that movie just makes me angry. I erased it since i doubted that people would read it. So let me break it down really quick.

1. Keep the same pronunciations! scream
2. Sokka was missing his inner goof, and aang was missing his childish innocence and playfulness.
3. Suki a big character as far as i am concerned is missing
4. Azula and Fire Lord Ozai had no major roles in the first book, just a small one at the end.
5. Avatar Roku replaced by a dragon spirt. (possibly his own)
6. Doing a bunch of fancy moves then at the end the element moves, much more exciting when the bending was following with the movements. (was good for some of the fighting scenes)
7. I don't know about anyone else but the lines in the movie reminded me alitte to much about the war going on now, winning "hearts and minds" and some other things. Same with the "Avatar Test" with the toys. (kinda reminds me of something else)
8. Avatar a little too peaceful, all this about just defending and blah blah blah i want some action!
9. I would tell Directors to stop trying to reinvent the $#%^%$&^$%&$@#& wheel, i mean come on people stop destroying great works by chopping it up and taking a dump on it and then trying to serve it back to us...( how to destroy a sure thing Step 1. give it to Hollywood. complete)

Things i liked! (well one thing)
1. The fire-benders had to have fire present, Finally equal footing (kinda) all the other benders had to have there "element" present why should the fire-benders have it any different. Except for the masters like Iroh being able to do it, because if you look hard enough the elements are almost always present. like katara using swet in the series, toph bending metal or bending up earth from the bottom of the sea. WELL, the air-benders always had there element, but i guess i didnt really think about that since they were all wiped out. ( fire being the opposite of air in the series)
oh well not erasing this pile.
