This thread is so I can keep track of my wight loss and maybe gain some friends for support!

I've been overweight all of my life (I was overweight when I was born, WTH)

In high school I lost 40 lbs in three months just by walking 4 miles everyday.

Since then, college, moving across country, settling down with my boyfriend, and being unemployed hit me like 50 lb ton of bricks. I gained all that weight back plus extra!

Being a hardcore gamer and lover of sweets and junk doesn't help either.

I want to adapt a brighter lifestyle and I want to start by losing weight!

Week 1

Not a great Start >:C I've been slacking off on writing down what I eat. We did have pizza one night. I had two small bottles of soda. The rest of the time I had lemonade. Most of my exercise for the week came from doing house work (even then I started huffing ugh)

I only had a two pound weight loss this week, but at least I hit my weekly goal. I'm still not proud about how I got them off though sweatdrop

I'll work harder this week!! I got some work out videos, Pump it up, Zumba, all that dancing junk you see on tv 4laugh

Week 2

This week has been better than the last even though I did gain 2 lbs emotion_donotwant but I think it's just water weight since I have picked up on drinking 64 ounces of water everyday. I have two big Gatorade bottles in the fridge and I just fill them up with water and aim to drink both of them in a day! I never drank that much fluid before, usually maybe a glass or two of lemonade in a day, but never 64 ounces.

I also picked up on my work outs more. I've been doing Pump It Up and Zumba. Both are fun since it's all dancing. I also have been doing 50 crunches a day, to work on some six packs cool

My meals mostly consists of, having Grape Nuts with fruit for breakfast, anything I can cook for just myself for lunch, and then a light dinner. For snacks I have a slice of bread with hazelnut spread and banana on it or some blackberries


Week 3

This week, I worked out everyday and set in a routine. I've gotten used to having so much water as well. I really don't miss having sodas or anything like that. I actually did have a glass of kool-aid later in the week and I thought is was really sugary and I couldn't finish it. My weight fluctuated a lot this week, but I can feel my body becoming more firm. Even my boyfriend says that I look thinner. I've been keeping a food diary in a notebook as well as on this log. We haven't had much money lately to go shopping for groceries, so I eat what I can. I haven't lost any weight this week, but I'm going to keep working hard.


Week 4


I got really depressed that I wasn't losing any weight and I ended up gaining 10 pounds emotion_facepalm

Play Wii Fit for at least 30 minutes a day

Burn 500 calories a day

Only take in 1600 calories

Walk in place without out stopping for one television episode

Stretch after getting out of bed and before going to sleep.

Spicy Tilapia

My mom use to make this for me all the time

you need a whole tilapia
soy sauce
fish sauce
cayenne
Serrano peppers
Carrots, Onions
gochujong

All you gotta do is clean the fish and place it in a pan with raised edges, fill the pan just until it hits the fish with the sauces. Slice up your veggies and toss them in. Heat it up and cover. Add a bit of water and a spoon of gochujong. Re cover and just let it steam the fish.

This recipe is very spicy, so it's best to serve a side of rice

Tips and Tricks

When you exercise, find something that automatically keeps track of how much you burned instead of trying to figure it out. I use Wii Fit, so when I exercise everything is recorded and kept track of.


Have a note pad set aside just for keep track of what you eat. Write them down while your eating or right after so you don't forget. Make sure to write down how many servings you had so you can go back and add up everything.


Start getting into a routine! Since I don't work and I stay at home all day, my daily routine is like so. I wake up, use the restroom, feed my pets, check my messages, do a morning exercise routine, have breakfast, relax while my stomach settles, work out until I meet my goal, have lunch, clean the house, have a snack, spend time with my boyfriend, have dinner, rest for the evening, go to bed, rinse and repeat.

So, if you have work or school, find a way to incorporate your goals wherever you can.

as they say, 27 days to make a habit, only 3 to break.

So keep up the good work! Don't over strain yourself though and remember to keep it all realistic so that way the lbs stay off smile
