Under the rainbow and through the fields
Looking for gold that glows ~
Where oh where is O'Danodan -
No one surely knows!

Come up with a poem about the where-abouts
that O'Danodan can or could be
and you may find yourself a wee bit lucky ~
For I will at the end of the day give a lucky gaian
a bit of shiny gold worth over 1m -
The more entries I see the higher the prize.

where the others be not.
he be skipping free
around an expensive yacht.

Spreading clovers,

we'll be sad if when its over
find him we did not.

Yet few can keep up with his fast-moving toes
Quick as a wit
He goes lickity-split
And over the emerald glens he flows!

Ye canno' get more Irish than a Limerick!

The glen with green was crowned
But the leprechaun was not to be found

I looked behind the trees and around the rocks
But all I found were more shamrocks

"Please come out." I called in the empty air
I begged and I pleaded, but he didn't care

For hours I spent, turning about
But that little green man just wouldn't come out

In defeat, I turned and made to leave
Then an invisible hand tugged on my sleeve.

In my surprise I looked down
And discovered something shining on the ground

I bent down and lo and behold
Hidden in the grass was a bit of gold

I picked up the treasure and stood with a grin
I didn't find him, but it felt like a win

"Thank you, dear sir." I called out again.
Then I went on my way, thinking of small green men.
