The festivities of St Patricks day rang around the air, the faint sound of the clink of a Guinness cup rang in the background, pubs full of people drinking, and wearing green, and the delighted (or at times disgruntled) squeals of people pinched for not wearing green. You walk into a pub, decked out in green. Clovers adorned the furniture, like daisy chains. Behind the bar was no-one, only a sign on the counter saying "help yourselves". It was obvious the owner was getting into the spirit of things.
