Its great that they won't their 27th Championship. Everybody is so happy, especially Alex Rodriguez. I don't think I've ever seen him as happy as he is right now. He definitely deserved this. I think he needed it. I'm glad he has finally been on a team that has won the World Series. Imagine how exciting it must be for him since its his first time experiencing it? It must be so amazing. biggrin

WAT? Last time I check, Yankees haven't won the WS in 9 years...

OMG THATS SOO LONG not dude seriously some fans have waited ages for their teams to win, Red Sox had to wait 86 years so yankee fans have no right to complain about that s**t yes they won, whoop dee ******** do its really not tht big a deal. When you spend that much money one players you should win because if you dont thats pathetic.

This world series proves one thing. Baseball needs a salary cap for teams like New York and Boston will always been the big names to win it more consistantly because they have the money to spend. Other frannchises dont have that kind of money, and frankly it is not fair to many fans. Yes some teams have great players but usually those players leave at the end of their contracts to go to a team that will pay them rediculous sums for their services. This world series was just pathetic if you ask me.

Congrats yankees, looks like wasting your money has paid off for once. Too bad A-rod did not get hit in the head though.

And by the way A Rod of all people does NOT derserve this. He was proven a cheater and even lied about it. Not to mention he is a cheater off the field as well. No i don't think hes the one who deserves it. It would be Jeter, Matsui, Posada or Pettite, players who do the best and have given it their all for years, and in Pettites case, coming out and admitting his use of steroids, unlike some people in the league.

Yeah, yeah the waste their money blah blah, Every dollar spent over is given out from the yankees to the other teams to make it fair, BUT don't blame them. Blame the other teams for not using it. Those teams use that money to try and keep the players they have. The Luxury Tax system is extremely ineffective, thats the reason why MLB is the only one that uses it. In other leagues the championship differential is much closer.

And don't be shooting out at red sox fans, for they are much more respectful than Yankee fans, unlike all of you 9 years of waiting, omg so long, they had ot wait 86 years to get their first, and when they win a world series that passion they must have felt actually means something. Same with those Phillies fans of last year, and the White Sox and Cardinals fans would agree too. When their teams win its a greater feeling. Yankee fans just jump on the bandwagon and think they are the best. Not true, bunch of immature people who know next to nothing bout sports
