Next year is going to be OFF THE HOOK. We just need to have an amazing off-season, too. If Scuds leaves, we'll be missing a piece.

Hopefully, this is the last we see of Craig Adams and maybe Hal Gill [not a favorite, but he had a hella-good playoffs] and maybe get another scorer and agitator to compliment Cooke and hopefully get rid of Dupuis for good. I heard a certain someone is going to be a free agent this year [Colby!!!].

See, now I used to hate on Gill all the time. He's a large human and doesn't throw his weight around like he should. However, you're right. He has been fantastic during the playoffs. When he's into it, he's just unstoppable. Dups is super fast, but who knows. He might get let loose just to see what else is out there. Him and Sykora didn't have the GREATEST playoffs, but when they were in they tried their best. Everyone has their off moments. smile

What's wrong with Craigly? Dude was a great waiver wire pickup, put a few into the empty net, and was awesome on the PK. He's not going to score 40 goals, because that's not what he's there for. He's there to be in the trenches, do the dirty things you don't see in the box score, cept the blocked shots.

Bobby Scuds will probably be Shero's number one priority this off season, sad to say but we probably won't be seeing Hal "Skillsy" Gill in a Pens sweater next season.

I don't like that Gill doesn't use his size, and skates 3 miles an hour. I can run on ice faster than he skates.
Dupuis, he isn't worth the trouble. He is inconsistent, and has an inaccurate shot. Sykora was most likely injured when Satan took the ice. That was the rumor, anyway, plus, Sykora had a crazy season.

Leonard: I don't like Adams. He is okay defensively, but it depends on what he wants [contract wise]. I don't expect him to play with us for any more that 750 grand.

I doubt Scuderi is going to be his top priority, he probably will be with us again. He's never going to leave. I don't expect Eaton to be around much longer, with Goligoski [hopefully we resign him] coming up from Wilkes-Barre for good. Only thing with him though is he is too soft of a player, like softer than Sarge.

Craigly made 600K this season, I doubt he'll want 750K to stay around, if Shero even goes after him at all.

Eaton is locked up for another year at 2 million (you can bet Scuderi to ask for that or more).
Dupuis is locked up for another two years at 1.4 million.

I think Shero will make it a priority to get Scuderi, Go-Go, and Ben Lovejoy (who dominated in the AHL this season) signed. We might see Go-Go get away from us with someone signing him to an offer sheet that we simply can't match with him a RFA.

I had to work for the first two periods last night. I was so glad to make it home for the third period. ^^ Fleury's last goal of the night was spectacular! I don't think Osgood could have done any better. I had total faith in the team after I heard Talbot's first goal. It seems to be this thing where if Talbot scores, we win.

It doesn't seem like Detroit is very classy. Last year, everyone in the Mellon Arena stood up and cheered for Detroit after they won the Stanley Cup. This year, I was hoping for that same reaction from Detroit fans, but they booed us instead... I would love to go that parade, but I'm probably working.

I'm still in celebration mode. GO PENS!!!!!! 2009 CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

I don't mean physically soft, but he doesn't play as aggressive as guys like Brooks and Pronger.

I don't really think Eaton is worth 2 million, though. He did have a good playoffs, but he is inconsistent.
I think that's a good price for Dupuis, but expect him to leave before then.

What about Minard and Pesonen? Those two are UFA's this season.

I think the biggest decision will be Satan or Sykora. Depends on what each want though.
