To those who live outside of the NFC North:

is the Bears/packers Rivalry Still relevant or is it just another regional rivalry that nobody cares about other than the fans of the two teams playing.

I ask this question because both the Bears and the Packers are rather mediocre this year and neither are going to factor in the playoffs this year.

I really like watching the Packers play, especially at Lambeau Field. Not sure if their rivalry with the Bears is still exciting, because the Packers now seem to be bigger rivals with the Vikings. Especially after all the Favre hoopla.

I've got to say, during the Vikings - Packers game, Greg Jennings got hurt on the Vikings sidelines. Did anybody notice who the first person over there to check on him was? Brett Favre. He beat the Vikings training staff over there. Class.

I wasn't on during the whole Brett Favre retirement thing. I really like how everybody jokes on Favre for his come back retirement routine. Junior Seau anybody?

Everybody talks about Percy Harvin doing great. He is! No doubt about that. Kick returns, running the ball and some amazing catches. The Vikings best draft pick this season is Phil Loadholt though. He has played very well against some very good defenses. He had Aaron Kampman responsibility, this season. He did great in both games against him, granted this is the 3-4 defense and they moved Kampman to outside linebacker, but either way he is a premier pass rusher in the NFL, and Loadholt kept him from getting close.

The Vikings let Matt Birk go, so John Sullivan got the start at center. Matt Birk was a great center for years, but Sullivan has filled those big shoes beautifully.

The NFL's dirtiest players list is out. Imagine that, Hines Ward is on it... Honestly, he blocks linebackers and safeties like he's supposed to. I guess he should act like every other receiver in the league and give... nudges. Jared Allen was on it to. That has to be because he doesn't have an off switch. When the offensive linemen are tired he's still going at 100%. Totally unfair and dirty!

Favre to Jennings was something special, to end his era with the Packers. That would have been a lethal combo if they stuck together as teammates these past two seasons. Jennings would definitely be Favre's go-to-guy if he were on the Vikings.
Definitely. Brett Favre had great chemistry with Greg Jennings (another great guy who I hate to love) and Donald Driver. Now though, he's gaining great chemistry with Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin.

Is it just me or does anybody see a resemblance between Steve Smith and Percy Harvin through their style of play?

Yeah, Favre has pretty good chemistry with his receivers in Minnesota. Rice and Harvin are doing really well for the Vikings. When Berrian is fully healthy, Favre should do even better. And if Peterson becomes an even better ball catcher, the Vikings passing game will be lethal...

Was anyone watching the Colts/Texans game? I was tracking it on NFL Game Center and wow was I depressed when I saw the final X show up signifying the missed FG by the Texans. They seemed to have a chance to down the Colts but blew it.

Either way though, the Pats, who just moved to 6-2 after downing the Phins 27-17, get to take a stab at the only undefeated AFC team next week as the night game in Indy. Definitely looking forward to that game.

7-7-2 for 16pts
Last Game: W 4-2 vs Buffalo Sabres
Next Game: 11/10 vs Pittsburgh Penguins

Well no Suprise here... the Dolphins and the Bears embarass themselves again. Even Cleveland and Detroit can dominate the Bears and Dolphins.

The Dolphins and Bears should be WINLESS. They are the two worst franchises in the history of professional football and the Superbowls and Championships they somehow stole, should be stripped away from them, not to mention that the players should be put into a hole and shot.
