Man Utd 3-0 Seville
Cristiano Ronaldo won his way back into the home fans' hearts as Manchester United completed their pre-season preparations with a comprehensive win.
The Portuguese midfielder, who has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, was cheered every time he got on the ball at Old Trafford.

And the 21-year-old made the opener for Louis Saha with a low cross.

He then scored himself when his effort deflected in, before David Jones added a late third with a rasping effort.

Ronaldos loved again and rightfully so! I'm the only one who likes it eek our old one kicked a** though.
Hopefully Ronaldo will keep up his great form.
Rooney might be out for the first game eek
Rooney needs to stop getting Red Cards.

Its not his fault refs just want the publicity.

From what I've seen it's mostly his fault.

Most of them are his fault. The card against Porto was harsh, but his reputation as a hot-head is not unfair.

He wouldnt be as good a player if he didnt have aggression in his game. There are plenty of "hot-headed" players in the prem, your keepers hot-headed.

Yes, he is; however, I do not excuse him when he is sent off by blaming referees — you were doing that with Rooney, if you would look back and read the post.

I have to agree with her. There's no excusing a sent off, unless it's an undeserved one.
A more agressive player doesn't mean a more violent player. And a more violent player doesn't mean a better player.

Well the Porto one and the claping against Villareal and also the England world cup ones were harsh in my opinion so I blame the refs for those. I don't think Rooneys as hot headed as the media say it just makes a good headline when you put 'Roo' in it.
I think Rooney will get his ban lifted I dont know about Scholes however.
Who would you rather have Senna or Hargreaves? Those two are very strongly linked with us.

He could have been sent off in three different ways versus Portugal: (i) a straight red if the referee inteprets the alleged stamp as intentional and that it is violent conduct; (ii) a straight red for raising his hands to push Cristiano Ronaldo; (iii) he could pick up a yellow for the stamp and a yellow for his reaction to Ronaldo.

I'm sorry but I fail to see how anyone but the most partisan and biased could feel he was harshly treated.

Dissent of ANY kind to the referee should be punished by a yellow card, Rooney may have been harshly booked for the initial foul but he only had himself to blame by the further show of dissent. It was completely unprofessional and he deserved the red card for being stupid.

That's why people call him a hot-head: he lets his temper get the better of him far too many times.

Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct
A player is cautioned and shown the yellow card if he commits any of the following seven offences: (i) is guilty of unsporting behaviour; (ii) shows dissent by word or action; (iii) persistently infringes the Laws of the Game; (iv) delays the restart of play; (v) fails to respect the required distance when play is restarted with a corner kick, free kick or throw-in; (vi) enters or re-enters the field of play without the referee’s permission; (vii) deliberately leaves the field of play without the referee’s permission.

Though, Rooney won't get a ban and I'm not sure if Scholes will either.

Since when is a push in the chest a yellow card I interpreted it as an acidental stamp then the push was nothign because Ronaldo got in his face. Look at the Carling Cup Lampard pushed Garcia in the face in front of the ref and just got a telling off.
