Welcome to Gaia! ::

Marty Biron signed with the Islanders. I guess they are resigned to the fact that Rick DiPietro will be injured next season. I was kinda hoping nobody signed him and he came back to Philly dirt cheap but oh well.

Mike Funk and Tanner Glass signed with the Canucks.

Travis Zajac resigned in New Jersey.

Darryl Boyce and Alex Foster resigned in T.O.

Marc Methot resigned in Columbus.

Signing of the day: Nathan Smith (who exactly is this guy and why is this even news?) signs in Minny.

And it looks like Marian Hossa needs shoulder surgery that will keep him out until December. Did this have to do with Dave Tallon's firing?

Then I Dont Need A Jacket
Meh. You Atlanta haters will see this season. They'll finish 8th in the east at the lowest. Antropov and Kovalchuk are a proven duo. They dominated in Russia during the lockout.
In through the maze through your reflection,

Antropov isn't anything but a 60 game player, at best, and he's old and injured. Always. Also, who else was on that Russian team? It was Ak Bars Kazan, and Antropov only played 10 games there. He also scored a [huge] 2 goals, and 3 assists, on a loaded team of top NHL players. Kovalchuk, on the other hand, had 19 goals and 23 assists in 53 games. Antropov has also never played a full season until last season, with his record 66 in his rookie season until last year. 26 goals and 30 assists does not make you an all star player.

Now, do you see what I mean when I say Antropov sucks?

We enter from a terminal connection.

Getting traded for a late second round pick proves this guy's worth.

But I do see Atlanta making a run for a playoff spot.
Hahahaha!!!! The hockey gods have smited the ******** out of Marty Biron. All for this peace of s**t. First, he gets taken out of the playoffs, then he loses his job, then gets hired to.... THE ISLES!!!! rofl rofl rofl
Check out the website too, if you ever need to get a refresher on how to be a classless douche.

Also, Hossa with the torn rotatator cup [I thought it was rotary cup, but oh well]? Sounds like Roenick after the Pens took the Blackhawks out of the Finals, and he walked around with a brace on his arm.

Funk should be good for the Canucks organization.

I'm pretty sure we'll see him with the Moose and hopefully he can turn into something good for us.

The 2009-10 NHL Schedule is in.

Ottawa Senators:
1st Game - @ NY Rangers - Oct 3/09 - 7PM EST
1st Home Game - vs NY Islanders - Oct 8/09 - 7PM EST
Last Game- vs Buffalo Apr 10/10 - 7PM EST
Ah, nice. You get to close out your season with a loss. 3nodding

Don't make me laugh. If this upcoming season is anything like the last season that passed by I doubt it. When Ottawa and Buffalo faced off last year, Ottawa won 5 out of 6 games.
Ehh you guys don't gotta worry I think Boston's gonna claim the Northeast again this year cool Haha just some friendly trash talk..

Well he wont have to worry about the Habs, lmao!

The only team I am really worried about in the northeast is Boston. Doesn't mean I'm scared of them or anything. I am still confident in my team.

Habs? They are the canadian half pints, right?
The Sabres and Leafs both got stronger on defense, the Habs brought in an entire new team of fast (albeit small) forwards and you're only worried about the Bruins? Bullshit.

The Senators may very well be the worst team in the entire Eastern Conference this year. The only way you have a slight chance of making the playoffs is if Pascal Leclaire STEALS games for you.

Your best player wants out, your captain isn't getting any younger and surely not any better, and the guy who centers them depends on them for his own production. Kovalev was a nice addition, but who's going to play with him? Chris Neil? Shean Donovan? Get real.

Ottawa doesn't have a single strength position on the entire roster. FOH if you think you'll finish second in the Northeast.

Boston
Buffalo
Montreal
Toronto
Ottawa

In that Order. Why? Because every team besides Ottawa has a goalie and depth on either offense or defense. Boston has both, and Buffalo MIGHT if DiPenta plays well.

Name a better Flyers goalie since Hextall.

Exactly.

He's overpaid by about $0.8M. It's not that bad. The Canes have the cap space.
