Anyways, Jake Peavy may actually be thrown into the Manny trade thing. If the Sox make a deal with the Pads of course.

That would suck.
I want to keep Peaves. He just had an off-year, and no-offense, but I couldn't see him in a BoSox uniform. It could happen, just saying that'd suck. sweatdrop

Linebrink is also another player that could end up in the deal as well if Manny is traded to the Pads. One player that the Red Sox have in mind would be Adrian Gonzalez, but there's a slim chance that the Padres would want to split with Gonzalez.

As for Peavy, he is always going to be brought up in a Padre deal speculation. He's easily their best commodity. Which is why they wouldn't trade him (you never know of course). That would simply kill their pitching staff. It's filling one hole to create another. It's the same problem you'd have in dealing with Texas, unless Hicks really hates Boras so much that he wants to trade Teixeira.

If the Red Sox got Gonzalez on top of that, wow. Still, I don't see it happening. Plus I would have to imagine if the package includes Peavy, Linebrink, and Gonzalez, then we would see Manny, possibly Youkilis and money going in the other direction.

Do the Padres have any real option than Adrian at 1B? Plus he is a local guy, which Padres and their fans like. Obviously has performed very, very well.

I like the Red Sox. I'll be honest though I don't know much and my memory is poor so it's hard to learn. But they were the first team I liked and are the only team I like, and I have AKILLA's influence to thank for that 3nodding Yes I did like baseball before I met AKILLA, I just didn't have a favourite team. Also while I'm being honest I don't follow it much but I hope AKILLA will help me with that though.
