I havent been keeping up as much on the whole off-season workings of the team. Who else have we been looking into, and who have we lost or given away or whatever other nonsense may have gone on since we finished off the season? Im so lost in the Bruins wormhole its scary.

Then it's time to take you out of that shithole..just kidding. xd

First, you have Matsuzaka of course. Few days ago the Sox were "oceans apart" with Matsuzaka's agent, Scott Boras. But now Larry Lucchino is in Toyko trying to get a deal and whatnot. And y'know basically spreading the Boston Red Sox around. To get this deal done it'll mostlikely go down to the wire.

Anyway, Sox have obviously been looking at J.D Drew and are REALLY close to a deal with him. Suppoesly they've offered him a 5-year, 15 million dollar deal which I hate since J.D. Drew has a very glaring injury history, etc. This deal is of course pending a physical. Once it goes through it'll be announce prob. in the next few days.

Sox have offered a contract to Julio Lugo of course. No suprise because the Red Sox have been really wanting Lugo for a long time now.

Sox have offered or are looking at Hideki Okajima who is a relief pitcher.

Yeah, the Giants, Padres, etc. are also suppoesly in the hunt especially the Giants actually.

As for the Dodgers only, I'd love a Broxton/Kemp/Kershaw deal, but Dodgers fans would HATE it. Mainly Kemp because he's a great young player.

Im 50/50 on this whole Manny thing. It'll be HARD to replace his bat thats for sure. We'd mostlikely get some pitching and/or prospects in return.

Those fans just dont know s**t about the sport of baseball and shouldnt be shooting off their mouths anyways. You should of seen the Yankee fans that decided to shoot their mouths off during the 2004 ALCS, but when they found out the outcome..they definitely shut up.
