This place will always exists no matter how many times people stop posting here, I just don't like coming here when nobody us around since posting by myself is no fun without talking to anyone.^^

Anyway I'm sorry to hear that bandit, I hope they didn't hack you.... D: I hate Hackers but I know I'm not the only one.

*pops his head back in for a sec*

I wanted to say that I'm sure the bar crowd (me included) appreciates your stopping by, Sabrina! It's always nice to stop by, even after some time away, and see a fresh post or two. But yeah, it's nowhere near as active as it once was -- oh in its heyday it was a grand sight to see! biggrin

*wanders off into the Gaian night*
*Smiles and Huggles* Thank you Toshokan and it's nice to see you stopping by as well!^^ I only post here when you or somebody else posts here since I don't like posting here by myself all lonely, sad etc. Anyway yes indeed it was a grabd sight to see! smile

*pops in for an early Sammy*

Morning, all! ^_^

*walks behind the bar and gets himself a cold draft*

At noon today, on ESPN (and possibly at 11 AM too), they will be showing the annual Nathan's hot dog eating contest. Early word is that six-time champ Kobayashi may have hurt his jaw training for the event (seriously). He was unseated last year by an American who wolfed down 60 or more 'dogs in 12 minutes (I believe).

Not for the faint of stomach... eek

*drains his brew and rinses the glass*

Well, I hope everyone has a happy and safe fourth of July!

*waves as he wanders out*

*Huggles Toshokan* Hello again Toshokan, how are you? welcome back, I missed you, Happy 4th of July!!^^-Offers you a 4th of July Cupcake-

A hotdog eating contest? are you serious? dang! thats a lot of hotdogs! I could never eat that much myself unless I had a stomach made of steel which I don't, I heard a lot of food eating contestants can eat more than that along with eating lots of chicken wings in a chicken wing eating contest and same goes for other foods besides pie... 3nodding surprised

-Walks behind the bar and gets herself a cold Cascade Crash flavored Gatorade-

Thank you Toshokan! I will have a happt and safe 4th of July! I hope you do too along with everyone else on Gaia! take care and peace out!^^ *Finishes her Sports drink and rinses the glass before leaving*

The town in the evening is quiet...
...and is just like the deep sea.
I am there all alone on the continuous road,
relying on a voice from afar...
...I keep walking.

Evening, all! biggrin

Wow -- what an interesting opening weekend of the NFL, to follow two somewhat interesting college football weekends, eh?

NFL-wise, who'd have thought that Indy would bow to Da Bears? Or that Carolina would travel across the country and take out San Diego? (great final play, though -- yeah, I was watching it on TV and was amazed and shocked xd ). Will the Pats be able to move forward after Brady was knocked out, very likely for the season? And Vince Young appears to have more than a physical injury, causing the Titans a bit of concern this week.

And this was just week one!!!

Oh, I lost in my only Fantasy Football League this week, though my team scored well enough that I would've beaten half the teams in the league, had I been playing them instead. Ah, well. Bring on week 2!

I'll just barely touch on college ball, saying a big Congrats! to the Pirates of East Carolina -- taking out Virginia Tech and then shutting down the powerful O of West Virginia was quite a one-two to start the year!!! What a great boost for that program!

Last week, Ohio State struggled to get past Ohio, Marshall was up 14 on Wisconsin (before the Badgers came back and wiped the field with them sweatdrop ), and (from week one) Michigan drops their opener to Utah. Could this mayhaps be a year for Penn State to shine? Two early wins have been somewhat overshadowed by off-the-field issues for the Nittany Lions, though. xp

Oh, and what could have been a great chance to upset #15 BYU was squashed by the officials, when Washington's QB was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for tossing the ball in the air after he struggled to score to get his teaam within one in the closing seconds (the now-35-yard point after attempt was blocked). Ty Willingham is in the hot seat up there, and such a win would've been a nice boost for him. sad

*finishes off his Sammy, rinses the glass, and heads for the door*

Let's see what this weekend brings to our TVs, shall we?

*wanders in, turns on the lights, and heads behind the bar to pour himself a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale*

G'morning, all! biggrin

*takes a sip*

Well, college football season is now over, and once again many are clamoring for a playoff system to be enacted for Div. I. There were a plethora of undefeated and one-loss teams, with a wealth of intriguing possible matchups, were a playoff to occur. Ah, well -- we shall once again have to be satisfied with individual bowl games, never knowing if this bowl winner here could match up well with that bowl winner over there.... sad

*continues to drink his Celebration Ale, enjoying its hoppy flavor*

For Major League Baseball, the winter meetings have produced some headlines, such as the usual attempt by the Yankees to buy themselves a World Series. It hasn't worked for a bit, but Sabithia is of a caliber they haven't seen in a while. Will the BoSox respond with a move of their own? Or are they already confident in what they have on their roster at the moment? My Tigers made a few moves, picking up some players at a few key "need" positions, but they were shut out trying to snag a decent closer. If they can't work something out, that could be (again) our Achilles' heel this season. stare

*another sip*

The NFL is winding down, and the playoff picture is getting more defined every week. How about the surprising Titans this year? And what of the turn-around that Miami has undergone? The halftime crew last night were discussing Miami, noting that they only won one game last year, whereas the current bunch have the potential to win their division -- wow! The GB-Jets QB headlines from the start of the year have subsided, with both QBs having their moments with their respective teams. Who'll have the chops to make it to the Super Bowl this year? Exciting stuff! 3nodding

*finishes his brew, rinses the glass and heads for the door*

Well, I may swing in again soon to discuss NCAA basketball or other sports, but until then I bid this classic place "Adieu!".

*wanders in*

G'morning, all! 3nodding

*steps behind the bar for a morning Sammy*

Well -- let's talk Sports!

That was a pretty exciting Super Bowl, for Steelers and Cards fans as well as for the casual watcher, I'd say! Congrats to Pittsburgh!

The college basketball season is getting ever closer to March Madness. The Big East and ACC certainly look very, very strong! Will the eventual champ come from one of these two conferences, or will an outsider step up and win it all come March? I love this time of year!!! biggrin

Baseball season is nigh as well -- some pitchers and catchers are filtering into camps as we speak. Well, type. I hope meh Tigers can do better this year. Their bullpen remains a big question mark, however. sweatdrop

Saw an exciting USA-Mexico World Cup qualifier the other night. I've been fortunate enough to have watched a bit more soccer (football stare ) of late. Hopefully I can keep that up through the WC next year.

*finishes his Sammy, rinses the glass, and heads for the door*

G'bye and Happy Valentine's Day, all! xd
