Evening, all! xd

Is everyone enjoying the holidays? How about them holiday bowl games? I've caught bits & pieces of some of them so far, but I'm mainly waiting for some of the bigger ones (around Jan 1st). (especially the LSU-Notre Dame game -- in New Orleans! Woo -- gonna be a wild atmosphere for that one!!!)

College basketball-wise, it looks like Bob Knight is just one win away from passing Dean Smith for all-time wins (Div I, at least). Perhaps we should all throw a folding chair through the bar's walls in celebration of his momentous accomplishment? biggrin

Hockey -- haven't been able to get into it as much this year (was a big Stevie Y fan).

Baseball -- some big deals / signings / re-signings / extensions going on -- I was happy to see Detroit lock up Bonderman for 4 more years. I'm a little iffier on their acquiring Sheffield. He's a big bat, and a wizened veteran player, but he has caused locker room problems in the past.... Word is that he likes Leyland (Manager) and Dombrowski (GM), so maybe that's a plus. We needed a bat this off-season, so I hope it works out....

NFL -- Well, the Steelers are definitely out, the Saints are finishing up a nice season, and how about the end-of-season run for Tennessee? Wow! eek

Fantasy Football -- well, after autodrafting both leagues, I got fairly killed in my ESPN one (6-10 atm), but I squeaked out a championship somehow in the Yahoo one (not the best of records, but got wins when I needed them...).

Well, back to the Christmas event & doing a little clean-up in the forum!

Several of the bowls today have been close games, providing lots of fun watching! Anyone have any thoughts on today's games or any other bowl games? biggrin

Before Penn State won, the Big Ten had lost the 3 bowl games they'd been in so far this year. A bit surprising (to me, anyway), as I thought they were the 2nd toughest conference out there (behind the SEC). eek
